Camp to Belong Maine is proud to announce the 7th Annual Camp to Belong Maine 5K! At Camp To Belong we believe that all kids deserve the opportunity to spend meaningful time with their brothers and sisters and we are dedicated to helping make that happen for kids separated due to foster care placement, adoption, or other out of home placements.  While many of us take for granted the opportunity to share meals, play games and say goodnight to our siblings each day, the kids we serve at Camp To Belong cherish these small moments that they do not always have.  These moment are what Camp To Belong works to create, so separated siblings are able to have positive childhood memories.     This year's race details: This year our Run To Belong 5k and Fun Run is back at the Augusta YMCA and the Rail Trail.  The 1 Mile Fun Run will start at 8:30 for any youth that are interested!  The 5k (run or walk) will begin at 9 am and will follow the beautiful Rail Trail! Kids on the Run and the Kids Marathon are non-competitive running events for children and young people age 17 and younger.  Participants can choose from these four distances based on their age and ability: The event will feature 100m Toddler Trot, Half-Mile, One-Mile and 2K Kids Marathon events.  All events take place on the paved trails of Bohrer Park in the City of Gaithersburg. Participants do not run on roads. There is a ‘rabbit’ runner who will lead the participants in each event. There is also a ‘sweeper’ who follows behind for each event insuring everyone makes it back to the finish line. There are multiple opportunities to see and cheer for the youth runners! The Snake River Canoe Race, one of the largest in Minnesota, will hold its 45th event on May 2, 2026. The race starts north of Mora and completes its 15 mile course in Mora. Please Note:Only one registration per canoe/double kayak (two people per registration.) Registration prices listed above are per person. Only one registration per solo canoe or solo kayak (one person per registration.) Registrations are available only online. Registration ends at 9:00 pm on Friday May 1. Join the OHS Leo Club for a Mental Health Awareness Fun Run/Walk on May 2 at 10:00 AM. This event is dedicated to raising awareness, supporting mental well-being, and bringing our community together to show that no one has to face mental health challenges alone. 18th Annual RUN WITH LIONS ( formerly Run With Eagles) Proceeds to support the Allentown (NJ) Food Pantry which has distributed a record number of food items in 2025. Enjoy the weekend at the 18h annual Run with Lions 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run on Saturday, May 2, 2026. Start at the Cream Ridge Winery and run, walk or push your stroller through scenic central NJ Horse country on this Kentucky Derby Day. Over 150 runners and walkers come out each year for fun, fitness and to help Allentown Lions Club Foundation support the great need  to keep families fed. Additionally we donate to Trenton Rescue Mission and Trenton Area Soup Kitchen.  Additionally there will be a food drive and ask runners to donate canned goods or other nonperishable food items. The 32nd Annual 5K for Health directly benefits Cass Community Health Foundation's safety net dental clinic, Cass County Dental Clinic. The clinic treats thousands of families who otherwise couldn't afford dental care at its two locations in Belton, Missouri and Harrisonville, Missouri each year. In 2025, we opened a brand-new, state-of-the-art clinic in Belton that has increased access for quality, compassionate dental care — which means more smiles to support! The Lance Cpl. Leon B. Deraps Scholarship fund gives Jamestown C-1 seniors the opportunity to receive a scholarship in his memory. Leon was a 2005 graduate of Jamestown High School. He died on May 6, 2006 while conducting combat operations in Iraq.  On Saturday, May 2, 2026 we will honor Lance Cpl. Leon B. Deraps for his service and sacrifice to our great country with a walk/run/ride.  20 years gone, but never forgotten.We look forward to bringing the community together to honor our hero. Twenty years later, and may we never forget the cost of freedom.

BFit CrossFit is proud to sponsor the return of this St. Joseph tradition.   The Apple Blossom 5K run/walk will kick off the annual Apple Blossom Parade.  In addition to a traditional 5K race, this year's event will include additional events for teams to test their functional fitness as well as endurance.   In the spirit of CrossFit, teams may enter to traverse the 3.1 mile course. Join us for the 6th Annual Muddy River Half Marathon, May 2, 2026.  The course highlights many landmarks in Cape Girardeau including the Bill Emerson Bridge, Common Pleas Courthouse, Old St. Vincent's Church and more, as well as finishing at the riverfront, conveniently at Century Casino.  The course is relatively flat utilizing roadways and paved trails.  We hope you will spend the evening in Cape and celebrate your accomplishment.  Proceeds benefit local non-profits who work to improve the health and well-being of those living in the region. The 2nd Annual BKM 4 Life Foundation Black Maternal Health 5K is a timed event hosted on the campus of SSM Health DePaul Hospital – St. Louis, a proud sponsor of this initiative. The race course features a double loop around the hospital perimeter and shines a light on the challenges and triumphs Black moms face during pregnancy, delivery, and postpartum. Black women are 3–4 times more likely to die during childbirth. This fundraising event raises awareness and drives action to improve care for mothers and babies. Proceeds will directly benefit The Family Birthplace at SSM Health DePaul Hospital, supporting programs and resources that make a difference in maternal health outcomes.

TriFAHL is one of the area's only triathlons. This is a short distance triathlon for men and women of all athletic abilities that provides the opportunity to "Tri for a Healthy Life" in a low-key and supportive environment. Since we are a smaller race, you don't have to wake up super early to try to find parking and walk a long distance to the race venue or wait in long lines to start the race. Plus you will be finished and on the road by 11am. First-timers and experienced racers are all welcome! Get outside and welcome spring with the 5th annual 'Run the Rail Trail 4-Miler' on Saturday, May 2! Starting and finishing at the Aviation Museum of N.H., the run/walk event will take participants on a winding route through bucolic North Londonderry, highlighted by the newest stretch of the Londonderry Rail Trail.  The race starts at 9 a.m. and is open to all runners and walkers. The event is a fund-raiser to support the non-profit Aviation Museum's youth education programs, which includes an upcoming summer camp and a high school student plane-building project at the Manchester (N.H.) School of Technology. Registration for the 'Run the Rail Trail 4-Miler' is $25 through Tuesday, March 31; for those 12 and under and 62 and above, the fee is discounted to $20. Starting Wednesday, April 1, the fee is $40; $35 for those 12 and under and 62 and above. Registration on Race Day is $50 per person. The Bulldog 4 is an annual fun run/walk that serves as a fundraiser for the Westmoreland PTA. Come enjoy the rolling countryside 4 mile course. All proceeds help support the Westmoreland PTA and the amazing programming the PTA provides for the students and teachers of Westmoreland School.  Registration Information: Sign up by April 24th and registration is $25 for each walker and runner! Officer Reeves was killed in the line of duty on July 8th 2012, leaving behind his wife, son, family, and many friends.
