The purpose of the Run For Holland 5K and 10K is to raise awareness in our community about Down Syndrome and other disabilities. Specifically, to raise awareness for parents who have had or are having a child born with a physical or mental disability. We want to show these parents that having a child with Down Syndrome or any other disability is not the end of the world, it is the beginning of a wonderfully different, more fulfilling world.

The Hull Prairie Intermediate and Perrysburg Junior High Bands present our 13th annual "Band on the Run" 5K Run/Walk and Fun Run. This year will be a little different. We are going to be having a Glow Run! You do NOT want to miss this amazing event. Band on the Run is a 5K Run/Walk. Even if you are not a runner, you are encouraged to come and help support the HPI and PJHS Bands. Usually over 50% of the participants are walkers.  There will be pep bands that play along the route to keep you motivated. Where is Band on the Run? The annual 5K run/1 mile walk benefits Stop the Suffering, a 501 (c)(3) based in Columbus, Ohio that saves animals from shelters and other situations in which their lives might be at risk. STS adopts out about 500 dogs a year, transports around 4,000 cats and dogs from rural shelters and puppy mills, to rescue organizations. STS also sponsors the vet care, boarding expenses and other costs when needed to help save an animal's life. Additionally, STS has a program that helps with many local municipalities spay and neuter programs in order to help control the pet population.   This is a rain or shine event. In the instance of severe weather it would be up to the race director to call it for the safety of all participants, volunteers, and vendors.

Green Street School will be hosting the 14th Annual Tulip Trot 5K Fun Run/Walk on Saturday May 2nd at 10:00 A.M.  This event is fun for all ages-- GSS Students can register for free prior to 5/1 at 5pm . We will also have a Sprout Sprint (3 laps around the school) for our younger kids (K-3)-- this race is FREE but you will still need to register your child (no charge).  This year we are excited to have North Star Timing back as our official timer for the event. North Star will provide electronic chip timing and super fast live results with its Mylaps BibTag Timing System, the same system used at the Boston Marathon.  Event Start Time: Bib pick up and/or day of registration begins at 8:30 am for 5K only. All are welcome to participate no matter age, pace, ability, etc. Strollers are encouraged on the course and dogs are also welcome! 5p-, or Cri du Chat Syndrome, is a rare genetic deletion disorder in which a portion of the short arm of chromosome 5 is missing. This results in varying degrees of delayed development and low muscle tone, among other characteristics. The 70th Annual Beaufort Water Festival welcomes you to the festival’s fourth event of the year, the 5k/10k on Saturday, May 2nd 2026. The 5K/10K race will start at 8:00 AM in the beautiful town of Port Royal at the Live Oaks Park. This wonderful flat course takes you along the moss-draped giant live oaks with beautiful views of the Intracoastal Waterway.  The course is USATF Certified #SC18011DW     The 5k is a run or walk for $25.00 and the 10k is a run only for $30.00. Delta Sigma Pi is hosting a cancer awareness 5k on May 2nd. This event is especially meaningful to us as one of our brothers recently fought and beat stage 4 testicular germ cell cancer. Seeing someone so close to us go through this has inspired us to take action to support young adults in similar situations. All proceeds from this event will be donated to the Dear Jack Foundation. The Utica Roadrunners are happy to announce the return of The Grateful For Graham 5K Run/Walk! Graham Robertello is a 6 year old boy who was born with Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB) - a rare genetic disorder where the body is unable to produce a critical protein that binds the layers of skin together. This results in the skin tearing, blistering, and even shearing off. The wounds that result are severely painful, can lead to disfigurement, and some (they can also be internal) may never heal. There is no cure for EB at this time, but with everyone's support in the past 5 years, we finally have the first THREE FDA approved treatments for the effects of EB! A cure is in sight... Join us in the fight to find a cure for EB once and for all! All proceeds raised will go directly to the EB Research Partnership to help find a cure and additional treatments for EB! The Daniel Barden Mudfest was created in memory of Daniel Barden, one of the first-grade students whose life was taken during the Sandy Hook Elementary School tragedy in December 2012. The event was founded by family members whose niece was inside the school that day. While she escaped unharmed, she lost her dear friend Daniel. In the face of unimaginable loss, Mudfest was born as a way to honor Daniel’s life and carry forward the values he embodied. TEST YOURSELF This isn't your ordinary Ultra - this is a DENFIT Ultra. DENFIT will make its Buffalo debut at Buffalo Ski Center in Colden, NY.  The race will BEGIN AT MIDNIGHT with both 50k and 100k runners having the same start time. The course will be a 10k loop up and down the ski slopes.  The course will NOT be lit; there will be reflective flagging and lawn flags marking out the course as runners make their way through the dark. 100k runners will have 18 hours to complete the course, which will be 10 laps.50k runners will have 10 hours to complete 5 laps.  At the base of the ski hills will be a large tent with food, bathrooms and a place for gear so runners will be able to grab what they need before heading back out on course. Headlamps are mandatory, naturally and runners will be required to have them until 7am. (tbd if runners are allowed to bring their own tents, but there will be multiple tents at basecamp for runners to use) Expect the finisher medals to be no less than 7

Come and run with us in the Ohio River valley! The General Butler State Resort Park is named for early American General William O. Butler of Kentucky, who fought in the War of 1812 and the Mexican-American War. The park was built on the grounds of the Butler family farm, which was begun by General Butler’s father, Percival Butler, who fought in the Revolutionary War. Still standing is the Butler-Turpin House, which was built in 1859 for Mary Eleanor Butler, niece of General Butler, and her husband Philip Turpin. Today, the Butler-Turpin House is a museum open for guided tours, featuring pieces from the family’s history. Over the next several years, local affiliate groups of the TBSAA planned and executed more For Greater Bands 5K virtual events across the country! The second race (and first virtual race) was held on October 15, 2016. Welcome to the Fast & Furious 5K swim, presented by French Creek Racing!  New this year: 1.5 mile and 1K options. All swims will start at 1400 S. Trooper Rd., Norristown, PA.  Swimmers must provide their own transportation (or walk/run) back to the starting area.  Transportation can be provided for an additional fee.  All swims will pass through the narrow straits of the locally legendary Catfish Dam.  All swimmers MUST either have their own kayaker, OR wear a New Wave Swim Buoy.  Swimmers may drop 1 (one) small bag at the starting line with their own clothing, towels, hydration, and snacks.  It is recommended to drop warm clothing as needed. Welcome to Chesapeake Cycling Club's Tri-County Classic spring cycling event, which will take you on a tour of Talbot, Queen Anne's, and Caroline Counties, in the heart of Maryland's Eastern Shore, considered one of the top cycling destinations in America, with “a crazy quilt of fields, small towns, coves, and sinuous tributary rivers. Check-in Details: So we will have check-in from 6:30 am to 10 am. We have each group with a suggested start time: 7:00 am for the Century route, 7:30 am for the Metric Century route, and 8:00 am for the 34.8-mile route. This is so you can ride with the group on your route, based on rest stop times. It is a check-in with a show-up-and-go, so no big line-up, but no check-ins after 10 am. You need to keep in mind that the Oxford ferry and Scottish Highland Creamery open at 8:30 am, which is 50 miles out for the Century and Century Metric groups, and 14 miles for the 34-mile group.
