Welcome to the Fast & Furious 5K swim, presented by French Creek Racing!  New this year: 1.5 mile and 1K options. All swims will start at 1400 S. Trooper Rd., Norristown, PA.  Swimmers must provide their own transportation (or walk/run) back to the starting area.  Transportation can be provided for an additional fee.  All swims will pass through the narrow straits of the locally legendary Catfish Dam.  All swimmers MUST either have their own kayaker, OR wear a New Wave Swim Buoy.  Swimmers may drop 1 (one) small bag at the starting line with their own clothing, towels, hydration, and snacks.  It is recommended to drop warm clothing as needed. Stop the Suffering 5k

The annual 5K run/1 mile walk benefits Stop the Suffering, a 501 (c)(3) based in Columbus, Ohio that saves animals from shelters and other situations in which their lives might be at risk. STS adopts out about 500 dogs a year, transports around 4,000 cats and dogs from rural shelters and puppy mills, to rescue organizations. STS also sponsors the vet care, boarding expenses and other costs when needed to help save an animal's life. Additionally, STS has a program that helps with many local municipalities spay and neuter programs in order to help control the pet population.   This is a rain or shine event. In the instance of severe weather it would be up to the race director to call it for the safety of all participants, volunteers, and vendors.

The Hull Prairie Intermediate and Perrysburg Junior High Bands present our 13th annual "Band on the Run" 5K Run/Walk and Fun Run. This year will be a little different. We are going to be having a Glow Run! You do NOT want to miss this amazing event. Band on the Run is a 5K Run/Walk. Even if you are not a runner, you are encouraged to come and help support the HPI and PJHS Bands. The Tau Beta Sigma Alumni Association (TBSAA) sponsors a Virtual 5K Fun Run program to raise money and support current and future musicians.   Celebrating over 10 years of philanthropy through fitness!   RACE HISTORY The first race took place on May 3, 2015 at Symphony Woods/Merriweather Post Pavilion in Columbia, MD. Over the next several years, local affiliate groups of the TBSAA planned and executed more For Greater Bands 5K virtual events across the country! The second race (and first virtual race) was held on October 15, 2016. Runners & walkers from across the country all participated to help raise $3,000 for the VH1 Save the Music Foundation that day and shared their success via social media.   The next events were held on November 4, 2017 and November 18, 2018 before being moved to the spring in 2020.  These events were also virtual and the proceeds were donated to the Mr. Holland's Opus Foundation.  The April 25, 2020 race was our largest to date in both participation a

The ¾ Minus Cykeltur is a gravel grinder consisting of a 52-mile route on asphalt and gravel roads and a 75-mile route on asphalt, gravel, and some dirt singletrack trail. The 3/4 Minus starts and finishes on Oak Street adjacent to Matchwood Brewing Company and is followed by a party and award ceremony at Matchwood Brewing with food, drink, and live music. It takes place annually on the first Saturday in May. Join us for the 4th Annual 5k and 1 mile run/walk to raise funds for the Angel of Hope Statue and Memorial Garden! The race begins at the future location of our Angel of Hope Statue and Memorial Garden, in the open lot across the street from St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Teutopolis. Registration begins at 7:00 AM, and the race starts at 8:00 AM. All Children 12 and under can register for $5 - price will change at checkout for these youth registrations.
