Welcome to the Fast & Furious 5K swim, presented by French Creek Racing!  New this year: 1.5 mile and 1K options. All swims will start at 1400 S. Trooper Rd., Norristown, PA.  Swimmers must provide their own transportation (or walk/run) back to the starting area.  Transportation can be provided for an additional fee.  All swims will pass through the narrow straits of the locally legendary Catfish Dam.  All swimmers MUST either have their own kayaker, OR wear a New Wave Swim Buoy.  Swimmers may drop 1 (one) small bag at the starting line with their own clothing, towels, hydration, and snacks.  It is recommended to drop warm clothing as needed. The annual 5K run/1 mile walk benefits Stop the Suffering, a 501 (c)(3) based in Columbus, Ohio that saves animals from shelters and other situations in which their lives might be at risk. STS adopts out about 500 dogs a year, transports around 4,000 cats and dogs from rural shelters and puppy mills, to rescue organizations. STS also sponsors the vet care, boarding expenses and other costs when needed to help save an animal's life. Additionally, STS has a program that helps with many local municipalities spay and neuter programs in order to help control the pet population.   This is a rain or shine event. In the instance of severe weather it would be up to the race director to call it for the safety of all participants, volunteers, and vendors.

The Hull Prairie Intermediate and Perrysburg Junior High Bands present our 13th annual "Band on the Run" 5K Run/Walk and Fun Run. This year will be a little different. We are going to be having a Glow Run! You do NOT want to miss this amazing event. Band on the Run is a 5K Run/Walk. Even if you are not a runner, you are encouraged to come and help support the HPI and PJHS Bands. Usually over 50% of the participants are walkers.  There will be pep bands that play along the route to keep you motivated. Where is Band on the Run? The Tau Beta Sigma Alumni Association (TBSAA) sponsors a Virtual 5K Fun Run program to raise money and support current and future musicians.   Celebrating over 10 years of philanthropy through fitness!   RACE HISTORY The first race took place on May 3, 2015 at Symphony Woods/Merriweather Post Pavilion in Columbia, MD. Over the next several years, local affiliate groups of the TBSAA planned and executed more For Greater Bands 5K virtual events across the country! The second race (and first virtual race) was held on October 15, 2016. Chasing El Chavo is a 5k run on gravel trails around the family-owned 150-acre orchard. The ¾ Minus Cykeltur is a gravel grinder consisting of a 52-mile route on asphalt and gravel roads and a 75-mile route on asphalt, gravel, and some dirt singletrack trail. The 3/4 Minus starts and finishes on Oak Street adjacent to Matchwood Brewing Company and is followed by a party and award ceremony at Matchwood Brewing with food, drink, and live music. Join us for the 4th Annual 5k and 1 mile run/walk to raise funds for the Angel of Hope Statue and Memorial Garden! The race begins at the future location of our Angel of Hope Statue and Memorial Garden, in the open lot across the street from St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Teutopolis. Registration begins at 7:00 AM, and the race starts at 8:00 AM. All Children 12 and under can register for $5 - price will change at checkout for these youth registrations. The registration fee for participants 13 and older is $25 until April 25th; the price will then increase to $30. Participants can register on the morning of the event, however, we strongly encourage participants to register before the event. We plan to start the race promptly at 8:00, and to ensure that, we cannot guarantee that day-of-event registrations will receive a race timing bib. Everyone who comes to register the day of the event will still be able to register and participate in the race!

Participating in the Kirby Derby is a great way to maintain a healthy and active lifestyle while having fun. The Lexington Road & River Relay is a four-leg event over a challenging 16.1 mile course in and around Lexington, Virginia.  Participate as an individual or as a team. Teams may consist of up to 5 members.  The first leg is a 3.5-mile run on paved road over a moderately hilly course. The second leg is a 9.1-mile bicycle ride on paved hilly roads. The third leg is a 2.2-mile canoe or kayak course down the Maury River. The fourth and final leg is a 1.3-mile loop run on slightly hilly trail course.
