Races

The race is to benefit the Quassapaug Sailing Center, a nonprofit organization designed to provide sailing instruction and encourage and promote good fellowship between persons actively interested in sailing and water sports. Sails to trails summer camp is operated every summer to encourage sailing and outdoor activities for children. Scholarships are offered for children in need.  Race is an out and back road course starting at the Quassapaug Sailing Center. First mile is downhill, then you run back up the hill (no complaining- it’s not that steep!). No Dogs allowed!  Parking is limited- carpooling is encouraged. Race entries will be limited due to space limitations (likely that the race will sell out- sign up early!).  Awards: Overall Male and female finishers & top three in age groups 19 & under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69 & 70 & up.   Race day is international Harry Potter day - come with your best costume and try to win an award.

Celebrating its 41st year, the annual Sharon Classic Road Race is a 5.3 mile race that will be held, rain or shine, on Saturday, May 2, 2026. Festivities and activities begin at 9am, with the main race starting promptly at 10:15am. An indoor tri is great way for beginners to get a taste of the race in a controlled setting without needing a bunch of gear. It can also be a great way for the experienced athlete to test their training or to prepare for another event. Come run/walk/jog the 'sweet' trails of Giddings Park in Franklin, CT on 5/2, National Truffle Day!  This chocolate truffle themed 5K race is open to all ages. (Dogs are welcome!)  In addition to the all ages race, there will also be a "Mini Chocolate Chip" 800 meter (.5 mile) fun run for kids 12 and under.  The kids fun run will start at 9:00am with the 5K Trail Run following at 9:30am. Proudly Presented by SmartStart Pediatrics along with support from Fleet Feet Glastonbury, The Glastonbury River Runners offer this 9 week training program (no session May 24- Memorial Day Weekend) to encourage youth ages 4 to 13 to get up and move!  Let us help your child reach the goal of completing a 5K (3.1 miles) and have a great time doing it! Through this program, we are here to offer your child support, motivation and fun along the way!  Practices will begin promptly at 4 p.m. on Saturdays at the Smith Middle School Track (216 Addison Rd, Glastonbury, CT 06033). Practices will last about 45 minutes. Steel Dynamics Inc presents a Springtime Gravel race with fabulous views of well-known attractions like Garbage Mountain (the local dump) both out and inbound, ride by many pork and turkey farms, and over Numerous train tracks in this Lil more than a Metric long course. There will also be a medium-length course that cuts off the final loop at the Sag stop.  This will be an all-weather event (barring serious weather) so dress accordingly.  The course is a mix of chunky gravel, dirt roads, a bit of pavement, a few hills, and probably lots of mud.  There will be timing/placing for the top 3 in each class, course marshals, and signs to mark the route.  GPS devices ARE advised and course route files are available on RideWithGPS.  You will find yourself in the middle of Nowhere, Indiana.  Often. Athletes of all skill levels are invited to run your choice of our 5K, 10K, Half Marathon or 1-Mile course.  All races will start at BMX parking, a short trail walk from the Animal Shelter @ Tom Brown Park. This year's race will start at the Callahan Ballfields, meet up with Rio Grande Ave, and then through Parachute. We hope this will keep runners and traffic separate. Yes, there will be some grass and some dirt, but still all the fun! The Suicide Prevention Coalition of Garfield County is grateful for the continued support through this run, thanks to the MayFest organizers. Join us for the TopCity Half Marathon & 5K on May 2nd, 2026.  The Top City Half Marathon & 5k aims to be a premiere event that enhances the health, wellness and culture of Topeka.  The route takes you on the popular Shunga running trail, while also showcasing the neighborhoods of Kansas’ TopCity. Every participant receives a participant race T-Shirts, a finisher medal, participant bags filled with sponsorship goodies, and access to post race beverages from Chaos Coffee and Iron Rail Brewing (if over 21)! Have you Herd…  The Milk Run is Back Gather your friends and family and run, jog or “moooove” through the Milk District at the second annual, “The Milk Run 5K” fueled by TG Lee Dairy, Saturday, May 2, 2026. Adams County will host its eleventh annual 5K race, and 1 mile fun run on Saturday, May 2nd at the Riverdale Regional Park which is home to the Adams County Fair.  Registration opens at 6:45 a.m., and the 5k race starts at 7:30 a.m.  The Fun Run will start 30 minutes later at 8:00 a.m.  Proceeds from the Foster Care 5K race will benefit the Foster Families of Adams County. Mindful Miles 5K Run/Walk aims to support mental health awareness.  With support from a grant provided by the California Mental Health Services Authority (CalMHSA), we aim to promote understanding of mental health, how to support a healthy mind, and to promote the importance of physical activity, social engagement, and connections with community resources that support positive mental health.  Start and Finish will be on the Yuba College track with an 8:30am warm-up and announcements and a 9:00am start.  Breakfast will be served at 7:30am and awards at 10:00am. Same day registrations are open and available on the day of the run; however, T-Shirts are not guaranteed if registrations are on race day. Early Packet Pickup will be available at the Yuba County Office of Education Prevention Support and Services, 1010 I street, Marysville, California, 95901.  If you are unable to make it, you may pick up your race packet in the morning from 7:30am - 8:30am at the Yuba College Track Field.
