Have you Herd…  The Milk Run is Back Gather your friends and family and run, jog or “moooove” through the Milk District at the second annual, “The Milk Run 5K” fueled by TG Lee Dairy, Saturday, May 2, 2026. Participants will run through historic streets of downtown Orlando while enjoying the sights and sounds of the Milk District.  TG Lee Dairy is hosting a community Milk Run and after party with plenty of fun and milk for everyone.  The Milk Run sold out last year, so pick up your feet and sign up, fast!   The Milk Run will feature the crowd pleaser, “Cow Costume” Division.  Participants are encouraged to dress in cow or milk themed costumes. Our First Annual Mental Health Awareness Race Mind Over Miles 5K is a community movement. In honor of May being Mental Health Awareness Month, this event exists to raise awareness about mental health, inspire community connection, and promote healthy coping outlets — like movement! This race is open to all ages and fitness levels because every individual has a story and every mile carries meaning.   Together, we move for hope.Together, we move for healing.Together, we move for mental health.

The HOH 5k is the sole fundraiser for the HOH scholarship program. This race is organized by the Northbrook District 28 PTO Council with volunteers from Greenbriar, Meadowbrook, Northbrook Junior High and Westmoor. All proceeds benefit the Homer O. Harvey Scholarship Fund. 5K runners and walkers will start at 8:00 a.m with a group start. We welcome strollers, but NO dogs, bikes or rollerblades please. The lot behind the junior high will be closed from 7:45 - 8:15 a.m. for the race. The race is chip timed for instant results of the race. Runners can see their results after they finish. At 9:00 a.m. there will be a kids fun run.  Kids age 6 & under are invited to participate. Registration for the kids run will close at 7:45 a.m.

The Polar Bear Triathlon / Duathlon will take  place on its traditional date of May 2, 2026 The Polar Bear Triathlon / Duathlon is New England’s season opening event! A sprint triathlon and duathlon perfect for beginners and experienced triathletes alike combining a pool swim, a scenic bike course on country coastal roads, and epic and fast run on wide hard packed trails and quiet neighborhood streets, 8:25a Start Time The Polar Bear Triathlon and Duathlon takes place the first Saturday of May annually to open the triathlon season in New England. The race is contested on the beautiful campus of Bowdoin College with world class facilities including a 16 lane pool, locker rooms with showers (pending availability), wonderful flat grass transition area and world class event production. ********COURSE/RUN CHANGES for 2026********The Hart County Running Club has announced significant course and distance changes for this year’s event. Due to upcoming floodgate maintenance by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, the top of the dam and adjacent roads will be closed periodically throughout 2026. As a result, the course has been modified and will not cross the dam or access Highway 29. This year’s run will be limited to a 4K run/walk, and the 10K option will not be offered.We appreciate your understanding and hope these temporary adjustments will not discourage your participation. You can still expect a beautiful lakeside route and a great race experience!

Come and run with us in the Ohio River valley! The General Butler State Resort Park is named for early American General William O. Butler of Kentucky, who fought in the War of 1812 and the Mexican-American War. The park was built on the grounds of the Butler family farm, which was begun by General Butler’s father, Percival Butler, who fought in the Revolutionary War. Still standing is the Butler-Turpin House, which was built in 1859 for Mary Eleanor Butler, niece of General Butler, and her husband Philip Turpin. Today, the Butler-Turpin House is a museum open for guided tours, featuring pieces from the family’s history. Join us for the TopCity Half Marathon & 5K on May 2nd, 2026.  The Top City Half Marathon & 5k aims to be a premiere event that enhances the health, wellness and culture of Topeka.  The route takes you on the popular Shunga running trail, while also showcasing the neighborhoods of Kansas’ TopCity. Every participant receives a participant race T-Shirts, a finisher medal, participant bags filled with sponsorship goodies, and access to post race beverages from Chaos Coffee and Iron Rail Brewing (if over 21)! WHAT IS GIRLS ON THE RUN? Girls on the Run (GOTR) offers programming designed for all girls to build confidence, increase their level of physical activity, and learn essential life skills. Our research-based curriculum creatively combines movement with confidence-building lessons and activities, providing an after-school program for 3rd through 8th grade girls. With programming that inspires girls of all backgrounds and abilities to recognize their individual strengths, participants build connection and community in a welcoming team setting. They explore topics including emotions, expressing empathy, and standing up for themself and others all while being in a safe and judge-free space with their peers. Their season culminates with a 5K celebration, where girls experience confidence and unstoppable strength as they cross the finish line. This free event is to celebrate the health and wellbeing of Shawnee Mission School District staff and their family members.  *This event is closed to the general public.  All SMSD staff members and their immediate families are invited.  Children 8 years of age and up are allowed to register for the 5K event.  Children under 8 are allowed to participate in the 5K, but must be with an adult at all times while on the race course.  Strollers are welcome. The 11th Annual SUP & RUN 5K  presented by Charles Schwab or Sarasota event will be held at Nathan Benderson Park to benefit RUCK9 (www.RUCK9.com)   The SUP & RUN 5K gives athletes three great races in one to choose from.  5K RUN 5K Stand Up Paddle Board (SUP) OR5K SUP & 5K RUN (There is a start line mat (chip) for the combination SUP & RUN) Athletes participating in the combination SUP & RUN will run the 5K first and then hop on their paddle board for a 5K paddle around Nathan Benderson Park.  The SUP & RUN 5K draws top runners and SUP'ers who compete for cash prizes but it's our not-so-serious athletes who have the most prominent place in the event.   Athletes participating in the SUP portion of the race MUST know how to swim.  If you are not able to swim, you may not participate in the SUP portion.   The SUP & RUN 5K is a family style event.   WALKERS ARE WELCOME and encouraged to attend.   Why choose the SUP & RUN 5K?  Every finisher receives

This popular Sprint Triathlon is celebrating our 6th year in 2026.  Enjoy a safe and scenic race while enjoying the beauty of historic Defuniak Springs located in the Florida panhandle.  Our racers enjoy a 600 meter wet suit friendly swim in one of the world's two circular lakes, a 16 mile bike ride through the rolling hills of the Eucheeanna Valley and finish with a 5k flat run passing by the historic homes of Defuniak Springs. Enjoy pulled pork sandwiches after the race and Celebration Party at the Last Stop Beer Vault complete with a free beer! Welcome to the fourth annual SSAES 5k to support St. Stephen’s Armenian Elementary School (“SSAES”), a private, bilingual school serving students from preschool through grade 5 in Watertown MA. Founded in 1986, SSAES currently serves 160 students from more than 15 zip codes in the Boston area, providing a curriculum that is a unique blend of the arts, humanities, STEM, Armenian studies, and experiential learning. The Big A 50K Course The course is composed of three 10.35 mile loops starting at the summit of Mount Agamenticus (Big A) and climbing back up the Big A and going over Second Hill and Third Hill and back up the Big A. There are opportunities to cross the finish line at approximately 10 miles and 13 miles (or any multiple of them up to 31 miles/50K). The terrain is mostly single track with some dirt road and ATV-type trails. Footing is technical with plenty of rocks, roots, and elevation changes. Trail running shoes are recommended. The full 50K has approximately 5,787 feet of elevation gain.
