The Wildcat Extra Mile is a one-mile race for competitive runners, casual walkers, and everyone in between! There will be two race heats so participants can run or walk at their own pace. The Wildcat Extra Mile is a fast, flat USATF-certified one-mile race that starts and finishes in front of Harding Academy. We encourage students, parents, grandparents, friends, and neighbors to come out and go the extra mile with us Saturday morning, May 2, 2026.  100% of the race proceeds will be used to benefit the teachers and students. In the past, these funds have been used to purchase playground equipment, bleachers, and classroom iPads. On Saturday, May 2nd, 2025, the Shipshewana Mayfest Road Run will be taking place as part of Shipshewana's Annual Mayfest celebration.  The event will feature two races designed for runners of all ages and experience levels. We will kick things off at 8:15 a.m. with the 1 Mile Fun Run. The race will begin near 345 North Morton Street at the Wolfe Building. The fun run will be run on the newly paved North Street.  It will be a straight out and back run for the kids.  The kids will finish close to where they started. Medals will be awarded to the top three boys and girls. At 8:30 am, the 5K Shipshewana Road Run begins. The annual Granby Road Race will take place on Saturday, May 2, 2026. One of Connecticut’s oldest and most historic road races, the 10K features a rolling, scenic course that winds along local roads and through the beautiful McLean Game Refuge. A 5K option is also available, with a course that runs partly on the road and partly through Salmon Brook Park. Both races start just south of Granby Middle School on Route 10. The 5K heads south on Route 10 and enters Salmon Brook Park, where runners complete a loop before returning to Route 10 and heading north back to Granby Middle School. The 10K continues south on the west side of Route 10 to Canton Road, where runners turn right and enter the McLean Game Refuge. After exiting the refuge, runners return to the west side of Route 10, continue north, and turn left into the semi-circle driveway in front of Granby Memorial High School, finishing at the high school. The See Spot Run 5K is a fun, family-friendly race that brings together runners, pet lovers, and community supporters—run or walk to help local pets receive the veterinary care they need. Proceeds support the Oliver Pet Assistance Fund, a Beesley Animal Foundation program providing financial assistance grants for family-owned pets needing urgent (non-emergency) veterinary treatment in Rutherford and Cannon Counties. This fund helps low-income, elderly, and underserved pet owners ensure pets receive care that prevents suffering, relinquishment, or euthanasia. Year 7 with new and exciting changes! This  annual event hosted by Kidtopia Playground Association, takes place at Grant Town Park located at 401 Park Rd, Grant AL 35747. This event began in memory of the late Dan Robinson whose love for God and country was known by many throughout our community. Dan was instrumental in the formation of our non-profit organization and laid the groundwork for the development of Kidtopia playground.  1st : This year we have updated our name so everyone knows exactly why we host this event, to benefit the playground! Course Details:The race kicks off and finishes at Northampton Community College’s Bethlehem Campus, following a scenic, mostly flat, and fast point-to-point route through local neighborhoods on paved roads. We’re excited to continue growing the impact of Montgomery Child Advocacy Project (MCAP). Our mission is to end and prevent child abuse and neglect in Montgomery County through legal services, advocacy, and education. We’re thrilled to announce our third annual MCAP Heroes on the Run 5K and 1-Mile Fun Walk, taking place at Norristown Farm Park on Saturday, May 2, 2026. We’re expecting more than 200 runners and walkers for this family-friendly event, which will feature breakfast, face painting, giveaway music, and more! For the past 22 years, MCAP has been a lifeline for more than 11,600 children impacted by abuse, neglect, and trafficking maintaining a 100% acceptance rate so that every child referred to us receives representation. Each child is paired with a dedicated attorney who ensures their voice is heard in the legal system. We are family and pet friendly 5K at Saylor Park, Coplay PA. Come and run or walk our 5K or cheer on your favorite participants on Saturday morning, May 2nd, 2026 at 9 AM.  We are excited to offer an 8K option again!  Our event will feature a large basket raffle, chip timing, and t-shirts for the event.   We also welcome our virtual runners and walkers from across the country who have supported us the past few years!   J’s Run is the annual signature event for the Pancreatic Cancer Hope Foundation- raising money for PC research and supporting those in the Lehigh Valley who are fighting the disease and their loved ones.   Top male and female finishers will receive a medal.  Top finishers in our seven age groups will receive a prize.   T-shirt and bib pick up  will be available for pick up the morning of the race starting at 7:30 AM.  Early pick will be announced closer to race day. There is no mud worse than RED MUD!!! Come try your skills at the Red Dirt Mud Run, brought to you by the Nacogdoches Jaycees. Prepare to get muddy—this course combines open pasture (on an abandoned horse track) with wooded trails full of scenery. Oh, and we almost forgot THE OBSTACLES! We have over 25 obstacles to challenge you, including a Mud Bog that even trucks struggle to get through. SCARED YET? Don’t be. We’ve designed routes for every level—beginner, advanced, and HARDCORE. Don’t miss out on this RED DIRT fun: May 2nd, 2026. The day‑of entry fee is $60, but you can get discounts for signing up early. We’ll see you out on the course!
