Celebrate the 2026 Christmas season at this festive one-mile run/walk benefiting the Children’s Home Society of Parkersburg. Our goal is to raise $5,000, with every dollar supporting the organization’s mission to protect and nurture children. It’s a joyful way to welcome the holidays, bring the community together, and make a meaningful difference. The event will begin and end on Market Street in downtown Parkersburg, with Bicentennial Park as the gathering point. Transformed into a cheerful Christmas Village, the park will offer complimentary coffee, hot chocolate, sweet treats, festive music, and a special visit from Santa. A $5 entry donation includes a Santa hat and a Christmas mug showcasing holiday artwork created by a child in a Children’s Home Society program.

The Bluff Park 8K was designed to highlight running at one of the highest points in Birmingham.  The race course is a rolling tour through the heart of Bluff Park including historic Park Avenue.  The race starts and finishes at Bluff Park United Methodist Church.   The race starts at 7:30am and all registrants receive participant t-shirt and post-race breakfast.  Strollers and leashed dogs welcome.  Come join us!

FitKidz Running Club will meet at Himmel Park every Tuesday and Thursday from 5:00-6:00pm starting March 24th and ending April 16th, 2026 on Soccer Field 'A' (Soccer Field Closest to Himmel Library). The FitKidz Running Club is FREE and will promote and highlight improved skills over a 4-week period, focusing on progress over performance and enjoyment over competition. The kids will start out running intervals of 200 meters and grow the distance each week, culminating in a mile fun run. The annual Reindeer Run/Walk 5K is a project of and benefits the Vilonia Lions Club. The live road race starts and ends at the Vilonia Softball Complex. There will be 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place medals for each category and overall Female and Male winners. We will have winners for Most Glasses Donated, Most Festive, Largest Group, and Best Dressed Pet. This race will be expertly timed by MacDonald Timing LLC. If you register during Early Registration, you will receive a guaranteed exclusive Reindeer Run T-shirt. This is an annual trail race in memory of Curtis Colt Childress, who was killed in a motorcycle accident on September 26, 2024.   The race distances are 10, 4, and 1 miles through the trails at Woolly Hollow State Park.  All proceeds will go to the Cabugcayan Mission/Biliran Church of Christ in the Philippines, which is where Curtis's wife, Ruby, and daughter, Curtlyn, live.  Donations are appreciated! The Triple C takes place on the first Saturday of December because Curtis was born on December 6th.  Curtis loved children and never met a stranger in his life, so the 1 mile fun run/walk is set up for children or anyone else who doesn't want to run or just wants a short trail experience.  The 10 miles course takes place along a short paved section at the back of the park and follows the Enders Fault Mountain Bike Trail, ending at the top of the dirt access road in the Enders Fault gravel parking lot.  The 4 miles course begins on the paved road by the pavilion, follows the Huckl

The race is being held to honor the memory of Garrett Yeager beloved friend, son, brother and father. All proceeds will be donated in his memory to New Hope Refuge. New Hope Refuge is a faith based and Christ centered program for women who are struggling with substance abuse issues.  The race course you get a little bit of everything. Starting out in the beautiful Eagle Mountain neighborhood for the 5k. The half marathon will continue over to the beautiful campus of Lyon College, once at Lyon you will jump on the 3/4 mile trail section of the course, upon exiting the trail you will run the country roads leading back to the main highway to work your way back to Eagle Mountain. The annual Tiger Run 5K/10K Run/Walk takes to the beautiful tree-lined streets of the historic city of South Pasadena! The South Pasadena High School Booster Club raises funds to support over 50 clubs, activities and teams so our students can enjoy a wide range of athletic, artistic and academic experiences.

General Info - December 5th, 2026 Join us for the annual Midway Shelter winter run. Event takes place at the Harbor Bay Ferry Terminal in Alameda on Bay Farm Island and supports a great cause.  The run will take you along the beautiful shoreline of Bay Farm Island and is a flat out and back with views of San Francisco and the Alameda Main Island. the first half is on the Harbor Bay Road with closed lanes for runners and the return is on the trails The Kids run for 12 and under will be a 1/2 mile course. Kids run will start at 9:45am and will follow a circular loop out and back on the shoreline trail. Save the Date: the 16th Annual Reindeer Run will be here December 5th! Come one, come all! There is something for everyone at the Reindeer Run. We welcome runners and walkers of every level to American Canyon on December 5th, beginning with pre-race festivities at 8am, and a staggered race start (10K at 9am, 5K at 9:05am for runners and 9:10am for walkers).     This is a fun event for the whole family: kids 6-17 are $30 and youth 5 and under are just $5 and include a finisher's medal and souvenir antlers! Early bird registration begins June 1st, so be ready to register to join in the fun!   *This event is contingent upon the requirements of Napa County Health Guidelines. If deemed necessary by the county, all in-person registrations will be switched to a virtual race.  *Registration fees are non-refundable. The Human Potential Running Series Presents: The Sawmill Trail Runs @ Staunton State Park The Sawmill Trail Runs; first started as a “Fat Ass” event at White Ranch Open Space in Golden, CO in December 2013. We incorporated it into an official trail race starting in December 2017. In 2021, this event was moved to its new home at Staunton State Park in Pine, CO featuring 50k, 16-Mile, and 8-Mile distance options.  Staunton State Park is a gem within Colorado’s State Park system. From high grassy meadows at 8,100 feet to soaring granite cliffs over 10,000 feet, Staunton State Park’s varied geology, soils, water features, and climate support rare and unexpected plant communities and a rich diversity of wildlife and provide a myriad of outdoor recreation opportunities. The park is located approximately 40 miles southwest of downtown Denver, north of US Highway 285 and about six miles west of Conifer in Pine, CO. Start at The Tavern at Red Feather Lakes and end back at The Tavern for a hot cocoa and s'mores bar and then we'll all walk into town (3 min walk) for the lighting of the village! Santa Made Me Do It! is a 5K road race, 2 mile walk and 1/4-mile kids fun run on December 5, 2026 in Bethlehem, CT. This race is organized by The First Mile and will be held in conjunction with the Bethlehem Christmastown Festival. Location and parking The race starts in front of the Memorial Hall on the Bethlehem Town Green. Parking will be at the Bethlehem Fair Grounds, 384 Main St North, Bethlehem, CT. Shuttle buses will bring runners and spectators to the Town Green beginning at 8:30 AM. The shuttle buses will run continuously throughout the day, so runners and their families can stay after the race and check out the festival. There will NOT be parking available at the Green and the road will be closed to traffic. Runners may also be dropped off at the Green.
