About the Race The Kent Washington Association of REALTORS® (KWAOR) is hosting the KWAOR President’s 5K Charity Run/Walk at Warwick City Park to benefit South County Habitat for Humanity and the RP4 Foundation. This community event will bring together REALTORS®, local businesses, and residents to promote wellness while raising funds in support of affordable housing initiatives and services for individuals and families in need. The event will feature an exciting timed 5K run and a fun, non-competitive walk, complete with clearly designated start and finish areas, enthusiastic volunteer support, and thoughtful safety measures throughout the course. The Race to End Hunger is Manna on Main Street’s biggest annual fundraiser. The proceeds from the event help provide services for those in need in the North Penn region. Manna on Main Street is a food pantry, soup kitchen, emergency financial aid and education provider serving our neighbors in need in the North Penn region. Strides for Safety is a family-friendly, timed 5K at Winton Woods organized by Jane Holbrook, a high school junior living with severe food allergies. The event benefits food allergy awareness and advocacy. More than 1 in 13 children and 1 in 10 adults in the U.S. have a food allergy—over 33 million people. A food-allergic reaction sends someone to the emergency room every three minutes. Funds raised through this event support the Food Allergy & Anaphylaxis Connection Team (FAACT), an organization dedicated to education and advocacy, while supporting families in Cincinnati and across the country living with life-threatening food allergies. The 3.1-mile course at Winton Woods Park features a scenic lake, wooded trails, and beautiful spring views. The event is open to runners and walkers of all ages and abilities—families, kids, and first-time 5K participants are welcome. The Western Region 5K Walk/Run is a signature community event within the Make Moves Against Breast Cancer (MMABC) statewide campaign. Held on the scenic Huckleberry Trail in Blacksburg, this event brings together individuals, families, and local organizations to make moves in the fight against breast cancer. Serving as both a regional fundraiser and a model for future community-led MMABC walks across Virginia, this event blends accessibility, physical activity, and community spirit with meaningful local impact. Water For People is a non-profit organization that works in Latin America, East Africa, and India to ensure that every person has access to reliable and safe water and sanitation services. This event provides a great opportunity to connect with athletic and like-minded individuals both in and out of the water and wastewater industry. The McAlpine Creek Cross Country Course is a mostly flat  and partially shaded course, making this a perfect race for beginners and experienced runners alike. Runners, joggers, walkers, rollers, pets, and strollers are all welcome! Virtual 5k We will be offering a virtual Water For People 5K option for those who might want to participate from out of state or those that cannot attend the race in person. The Tobacco Road Relay is a tour of North Carolina's Triangle, its beautiful cities, historic and protected greenways, single track trails, roads less traveled and roads often traveled.  It's a day of challenge, adventure and memories for you and your best friends. The Tobacco Road Relay is a one day, 75-mile relay-style running race.  Teams of 2-6 runners navigate the 75-mile course, which begins in Chapel Hill, runs through Durham to the finish in Raleigh.  The course is divided into 12 legs (6 runners = 2 legs/runner), with each leg ranging in distance from 4.2 - 9.6 miles.  Teams are permitted one team vehicle to navigate between exchange zones and to carry their inactive runners, food, water, sports drinks, first aid, ice and other needed supplies. The 9th Annual Woodfin 5K will start Saturday, April 25, 2026 at 9:00 AM. Conquering with Canaan 5K Saturday, April 25, 2026 9:00 am Corwin-Nixon Park, Mason, OH Canaan Joseph Foundation is a non-profit organization with a goal of helping families with children diagnosed with Congenital Heart Disease. Every 15 minutes a child born is being diagnosed with a congenital heart disease, the # 1 birth defect in children. On average, 40,000 children born are diagnosed with CHD. With the size of a walnut, many newborns undergo open-heart surgeries in the first few days of their life. It is a world-changing and heart-wrenching journey the loved ones of the child must face. There is no cure for it, only a temporary fix. This means these children go numerous heart surgeries during their lifetime. Many do not make it beyond their first year. Needless to say, one of the hardest battles the loved ones fight along with their little heart warrior. Race begins at Ashtabula County Metroparks’ Harpersfield Covered Bridge Metropark and ends at Lake Metroparks’ Hidden Valley Park in Madison. Race course is 8.5 miles. MADDEST HAT CONTESTAre you mad? (All racers qualify!) Design a hat (or some sort of river-worthy headgear) and wear it April 25. The “maddest hat” wins a prize! The more creative, the better— just go crazy! The Connect 5K Run for Youth Missions is a fundraising event that supports the youth of Connect Church in Akron, OH. Our high school and middle school students will serving their local Akron community this summer through partnership with local organizations! Our own backyard matters to God and also matters to us. Additionally, students will be going to camp to develop their faith and community with one another. Every step you run and dollar you donate helps get them that much closer to having a life-changing summer they will never forget.  This is also a great course for running on hills!

This April, in recognition of National Child Abuse and Neglect Awareness Month, we invite you to take part in our 3rd annual "Running for Prevention" 5K Family Walk/Run. 1st, 2nd and 3rd place prizes will be awarded to the following age groups ( 5-10 years), (11-16 years), (18+ years).  All proceeds from the race go directly into Rutland County Parent Child Center’s transformative and accessible programming, helping to reduce the likelihood of child abuse and neglect by promoting the Five Protective Factors. Through education, support, and community engagement, we work to create a safer, healthier future for all children and families. Join us for the 14th (and Final) Annual Run for the Titan Trail 5k/1 Mile Walk/Tot Run! The chip timed 5K run and 1 mile walk courses will begin at Shaler Area Elementary School and circle through local neighborhood streets, ending back at the school.  The Run for the Titan Trail 5k is a fundraiser to help fund the cost of a year-end reading incentive trip to Millvale Riverfront Park and Three Rivers Heritage Trail for Shaler Area Elementary School students. Free voluntary reading in our school has increased exponentially since the creation of Blazing a Titan Trail: A Reading Adventure.  Students strive to read 18 books throughout the school year to attend the trip. Blazing a Titan Trail: A Reading Adventure is a school-wide reading incentive program at Shaler Area Elementary School, an upper elementary school with 1,000 students in grades 4, 5, and 6. Dolly's Imagination Library in Powhatan is pleased to announce its inaugural 5K color run. This family friendly fun run will start and end at Powhatan High School, and feature celebratory color powdering stations along the way. Registrations and donations will all go toward supporting early literacy through the Dolly Parton Imagination Library which sends an age-appropriate book, once a month, to each child in Powhatan, up to their fifth birthday.

Blue Island Oyster Foundation and Sayville Running Co. presents the 10th annual 5K to protect the Great South Bay. Donations and sponsorships from the run go to the Blue Island Oyster Foundation, a registered 501c3.  The main event will take place at scenic Foster Avenue Park!  A virtual option remains for folks who can't make it to run or walk with us in person.  We ask participants to share their runs via social media using #5kRunfortheBay.

Vestal High School students and staff welcome you to our annual 5k road race for charity.  Proceeds from this race are donated to Team Hopefull: Fighting Prader-Willi Together.  Entry Fee: 1/2 Mile Fun Run (Ages 3-11) - FREE5k Walk or 5k Run: Adults $25.  Students $15   There will be a free half-mile fun run indoors for kids starting at 9:00 a.m. Then walkers start at 9:30 and runners begin the race at 10:00. This is a certified 5K course. The race is chip-timed and results will be available immediately following the race. We have refreshments and space indoors for pre-race warm up or post-race cool down. There are awards and prizes for top finishers overall male and female as well as age-group awards.

The Race to Cure Sarcoma (RTCS) New York brings together hundreds of members of the community who have been impacted by this disease. Each year, the Sarcoma Foundation of America raises awareness and funds for much-needed research, through RTCS events across the country. JOIN US for our annual event in New York City! This is a 5K Fun Run/Walk. All money raised will go towards the Morrisville-Eaton Booster Club. This money will be used to support not only the track and field team but all student athletes and programs.
