Join us for the fourth annual Turkey Trot 5k run/walk in Crete, IL! This is a FREE community event for all ages and paces. We can't wait to see everyone again this year! While this is a fun run, we do have a timer on site for those that like to keep track! You can run, jog and walk your own pace on Thanksgiving morning! Before you gobble til you wobble, take part in this fun 5k event where we will be accepting donations to support the Crete Food Pantry. This is a FREE event, but we ask that you kindly donate a non-perishable food item while attending. We will have a donation bin at the race site. 3 Mile Walk/Run or 2 Mile Walk Both races start and finish at the Fitness Center (NW of Lakeside Elementary). The 3 Mile Run/Walk is the same as the Picnic route running the west side of the dike and coming in on Lake Drive The 2 Mile Walk will head west to start with the runners then back to the gravel road that runs by Dollar General, coming back into town on Lake Drive. Join us for our fourth annual we fit turkey trot on Thanksgiving morning at 9 o’clock Located in our local Brown’s Park. A percentage of the money we raise will go to our local nonprofits ! Your choice between a 5K or a 2 mile walk both events are not timed ! Strollers, dogs on leashes and kiddos with bikes are also allowed to be joining us! At the end of our 5K there will be a kids fun dash for our younger group! Dark Evergreen Crewneck Sweatshirts will be included in the gestation registration fee. 5k - family friendly on Thanksgiving morning. Come out and enjoy some beautiful trails before sitting down to an excellent Turkey dinner at home. You may even see some Wild Turkeys in the process! The run/walk will be held at Otsego Regional Park in Otsego, MN. The course is flat to slightly rolling and loops around next to the river and back through some wooded sections. It is a paved course and strollers are welcome, we just ask that you allow runners to pass and are careful maneuvering around other runners. Bring non-perishable food items or winter clothing donation (gloves, mittens, hats, jackets) for kids or adults and we'll be filling a truck to donate to CAER! (Our local food shelf) This race is hosted by our local high school nordic ski programs(Elk River, Rogers and Zimmerman) and helps to offset costs for our athletes that are not able to afford the expenses. We are a non-profit (501c3) and run on limited funding from the school district as budgets become tighter and tighter. We strive to provide ski equipment for any skier that is unable to purchase it for themselves and we supplement costs for training trips and competitions for those that need it. We also use the fundraiser to purchase uniforms and help outfit the team. This is our 14th year! We grew from a small friends/family event of just the team that first year, to 400 runners now. Tim was a collegiate competitive runner and Cross Country/Track Coach for High Schools in Beaverton School District. Tim originally relaunched the Oak Hills Turkey Trot in 2019 while he was on medical leave to give back to community and build an event to bring people together on his favorite holiday. Benefits: Salvation Army of DuBois This is our 8th annual 5K Turkey Trot which kicks off The Salvation Army's Red Kettle Campaign. This year we will not be having an official timekeeper onsite so race results will not be posted online. We will have an onsite time clock. After the tragic loss of our 15 year old daughter the family tradition of getting together for a movie, thanksgiving dinner and lots of family time was so hard to face without her. Kenzie loved tradition so to help us honor her legacy we created a new tradition for our family. Our family friends "the Larsen's" inspired us to do something Kenzie would love to do so we did, we ran! We were so blessed to have over fifty of our friends and family join us for our first race as well as overwhelmed by the monetary donation that helped support our Safe Driving Scholarship for all local High School seniors. The Thunderbolt Ski Runners will host the annual Turkey Trot 5K (Formerly organized by the Western MA Athletic Club) on Thursday, Nov. 26 (THANKSGIVING) at 9:30 a m. The run begins and ends at the E. Hoosac Street and N. Summer St. intersection near the Pizza House. Runners will travel from North Summer Street to Lime Street, then Left onto Printworks Drive to the circle at the end where there will be an aid station, and run the same route back. Registration begins at 8am at the Pizza House in Adams, 26 Hoosac Street. The Awards Ceremony will also be held at the Pizza House with post race snacks and warm beverages.

The Unionville High School Softball and Baseball teams are excited to bring The Trot back to Unionville! Come join us for the fifth annual Unionville 5K and 1 Mile Turkey Trot and Food Drive on Thanksgiving morning. This time honored tradition is now in your backyard, as we are proud to host the first ever 5K and 1 Mile Turkey Trot walk/run on the beautiful campuses of Unionville High School and Patton Middle School. This race is for all ages and all skill levels. The 5K race will be a timed event. All 5K racers will have the opportunity to time their run, but this event is centered around bringing our community together. The 1 Mile walk will be untimed. Turkey Trots exist as a celebration of thanks, a chance for the community to come together, and a great way to have fun. All races begin at Turnbow Park, 106 E. Emma Avenue, and the race route utilizes the Razorback Greenway. This year, finishers of all races will receive a medal. 5k and fun run racers are guaranteed an event t-shirt in their size if they register before November 13. Join us Thanksgiving Day morning for the 12th annual running of the Canned Cranberry Sauce 10k Fun Run/Walk! This event is free. We only ask for a canned or dry good donation which will be given to Urban Ministries. Since the first Canned Cranberry Run, the Greensboro Running and Walking Community has donated over 3 tons of canned and dry goods! WeeDoggie! There will be goodies for participants after they complete the run/walk!! We'll have our traditional pumpkin cranberry chocolate chip pecan cookies made by Runner "Baker" Dude Jr, Lachlan. The course is an out-n-back mostly along the Latham Park and Lake Daniel Greenways. This is a fun run/walk. Not quite up to a 10K (6.2 miles). No Worries! The route is an out-n-back, so you can run/walk as far as you'd like then turnaround. There is no official timing and there is no police support on the route. Participants are to observe all traffic signals and signs.

The Kingman Police Officers Association (KPOA) Thanksgiving Turkey Trot 5K is a community focused event designed to bring people together through fitness, family, and giving back. All proceeds raised go directly toward supporting local families in need, helping provide holiday meals, clothing, and gifts for children, as well as supporting youth sports and other community programs. Our goal is to make a positive impact in our community while promoting health and wellness and continuing the spirit of giving during the holiday season. Get ready for it.... THIS YEAR MARKS THE 11TH ANNUAL SAVAGE FAMILY TURKEY TROT!! It amazes me what we have accomplished as a community. I had no idea that this race would make such an impact on the families of South Portland and I have all of you to thank for it!! My kids (who were almost 7 yrs old at the time) and I decided to create this Thanksgiving morning event back in 2016 to honor their dad Nathan. Nathan was an avid runner, biker, triathlete and family man who lost his life to a fatal heart attack on July 2, 2016, just three weeks before he was set to compete in his first full Ironman event, and just months prior to his 40th birthday. We work solely as volunteers and give 100% of our profits back to the kids of South Portland. Most of the money has gone to the Nathan Savage Memorial Fund, a scholarship account through the South Portland Community Center that gives financial assistance to any child wanting to participate in one of their youth development programs. It has been a huge success. We also have given to such things as The South Portland Food Cupboard, The SoPo Skate Park, local soccer scholarships, shoe donations, etc. SINCE 2016 WE HAVE DONATED OVER $120K BACK TO OUR COMMUNITY!!! I would like to thank our sponsors for their continued support, as their donations pay for the cost of the race so that your registration fees go directly to the kids!
