Sustainable Glasgow is excited to host their fifth annual Homegrown 5k on Apri 26th, 2024 at 7:30 am.  New for this year, we will have a chip-timed race with age group awards, but joggers and walkers are welcome!  The race will begin at the Yancey's Patio in Downtown Glasgow, Kentucky and meander through beautiful neighborhoods and the South Green corridor before ending back on the Square.  Course closes at 8:30 am.  Proceeds of the race will benefit Sustainable Glasgow and supplement the Double Dollars program for the Bounty of the Barrens Farmer's Market.   We will have a packet pickup and in-person registration on Friday evening before the race at First Christian Church, 1100 N. This is a 5k run and 1 mile dog walk to benefit the Humane Society of Calloway County. The 1 mile dog walk will be inside the Murray State Arboretum on the paved path. If you are unable to attend the event, there is a virtual run option. April is Amputee Awareness Month.  May 2026 will mark 5 years that I have been an amputee.  This event was created to raise awareness and support two groups that are important to me.  When I was in high school, I was a member of the track and cross-country teams.  Before my accident, I enjoyed running as a stress reliever and for exercise.  Working with kids is another passion of mine.  Nothing was going to stop me from getting back to teaching even after becoming an amputee.  Camp No-Limits is a camp for children who deal with being an amputee (https://www.nolimitsfoundation.org/). The Feet for the Street 5K, was created to raise awareness and much needed financial support for the Winston-Salem Street School, a private, nonprofit alternative educational option for at-risk high school students in the Forsyth County area. The Street School combines small class sizes, caring, individualized attention, and an unwavering belief that the students we serve, when given a second chance, can not only thrive in high school, but be better prepared for success in life as well.  In the last 21 years, nearly 400 students have overcome personal issues and learning difficulties to graduate and receive an accredited high school diploma from the Street School. These are students who many had little hope for and who in most cases, had very limited expectations for themselves before coming to the Street School. We are so excited to announce the inaugural Harmon Field Half Marathon & Morris Fun Run!  After Harmon Field was devastated by Hurricane Helene in 2024, it is now repaired and back open! We are excited to welcome back this much loved, scenic, out-and-back, 13.1-mile race through the beautiful Hunting Country of Polk County, NC. The 8th Annual Autism 5K Race (Honor Loop) is a commemorative event established to honor individuals with neuro-disabilities and wheelchair-bound persons.  Participants will join in this memorable event to honor the celebration of those who live with autism. The Manion WOD (Workout of the Day) is a powerful tribute to 1stLt Travis Manion, USMC, designed to unite veterans, families of the fallen, and inspired civilians in honoring one of our nation’s heroes. Hosted by CrossFit boxes, ruck clubs, and gyms nationwide—or completed virtually anytime, anywhere—this workout challenges its participants to push harder, go further, and grow stronger in memory of those who have sacrificed for our freedoms. As part of the Ignite Trail Series we are offering a spring timed event.  This will be a 3.55 mile course with one aid station at the start finish line.  Only full loops will count toward you mileage total for the timed events.  With 30 minutes to go in each event, we will open up an 1/8 mile out and 1/8 mile back course so that you can add to your mileage totals. ***Registration will close approximately 1 week prior to the event*** ***NO DAY OF RACE REGISTRATION***

The Louisburg High School Athletic Booster Club is committed to supporting LMHS athletes and providing opportunities for our athletes to continue to advance and progress toward their life goals. The Illiana Christian Pancake Pacer 5k is a great run benefiting the Illiana Christian Athletics Department. All proceeds go towards new uniforms and additional equipment for our athletic programs. The race begins and ends at Midwest Ice Arena (10600 White Oak Ave, Dyer, IN 46311). Following the race, each runner is invited to Illiana Christian High School where a free pancake breakfast will be provided to all runners. Here, winners will be announced and given medals for the following age groups: 19U, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60 and up. Every registered runner will receive an Illiana personalized backpack. Campus Student Council is proud to announce Penny Schuckman as our 2026 beneficiary for the Gary Engels Memorial (GEM) 5K. The GEM 5K honors the legacy of Gary Engels, a beloved English teacher at Campus High School whose impact continues to be felt throughout Campus and the Haysville community. Each year, a new beneficiary is selected in his memory. Penny Schuckman, director of the Dr. John Burke Learning Center is the beneficiary of the Gary Engels Memorial 5K. Penny was chosen since in December, she experienced a medical emergency when a brain aneurysm ruptured. Penny has a strong medical team that have coiled the aneurysm, in this process they discovered another aneurysm that will be treated soon. What makes Penny remarkable is not only her resilience, but her gratitude to her medical team, family, friends, and everyone at USD261.  To know Penny is to love her. The Cedar Valley SportsPlex Pump and Run 1-mile & 5K is back for year four! This event also include a free public health expo on Friday night during the pump and packet pickup. The goal of the health expo is to let the public interact with as many of the amazing businesses, organizations, and non-profits in the Cedar Valley as possible. FREE KIDS REGISTRATION Thanks to our amazing sponsor kids ages 1-12 will be able to participate in either the 1-mile or the 5K at no cost. HOW DOES THE PUMP-N-RUN WORK? Bench press and bicep curl a percentage of your body weight at the health expo to earn a reduction in your 5K time! You’ll receive 10 seconds off your 5k time for every repetition that you complete! This is the sixth annual "Run For Her Life" virtual/in-person 5K, Half-Marathon, and Kid's Fun Run! The Phoenix Phase Initiative is an Iowa-based 501(c)3 non-profit dedicated to helping women who have been sexually trafficked around the world. These women are rarely given a chance to escape and, when they do get the chance, they RUN for it! The Phoenix Phase Initiative is there so they have a place to run to where they can be accepted, receive counseling, and learn job skills so they can break the cycle and create new lives for themselves and their children. Please join us in our small community, Benton, KS during our Benton Day celebration on Saturday, April 25th. Start time is at 8am.  The race will be an out and back course and timed by Timer Guys. T-Bird Trot 5K formally known as Circle Foundation. Several years ago, Circle Foundation handed off the race to the Circle Booster Club.  Same race, same community, and proceeds still benefiting our students in USD 375.  If you feel led to make a donation while processing your registration, we would be extremely grateful!  There is a free will donation breakfast sponsored by the Circle Booster Club during and after the race to kick off Benton Day.  Your race entry includes breakfast, just show your bib when you get in line. For non-participating family members and friends, we encourage a donation.  Our route will include a trail just under a mile of the course. Trail shoes aren't needed for this run.
