Sustainable Glasgow is excited to host their fifth annual Homegrown 5k on Apri 26th, 2024 at 7:30 am.  New for this year, we will have a chip-timed race with age group awards, but joggers and walkers are welcome!  The race will begin at the Yancey's Patio in Downtown Glasgow, Kentucky and meander through beautiful neighborhoods and the South Green corridor before ending back on the Square.  Course closes at 8:30 am.  Proceeds of the race will benefit Sustainable Glasgow and supplement the Double Dollars program for the Bounty of the Barrens Farmer's Market.   We will have a packet pickup and in-person registration on Friday evening before the race at First Christian Church, 1100 N. The Farragut Primary School PTO is hosting its first 5K Dolphin Dash Fundraiser. The event will take place on Saturday, April 25, 2026 at the Primary School. We will have kids dashes (ages 3-8 years old) and the 5K run/walk with prizes for place finishers. The Dolphin Dash is planned around family, fun, fitness and community! Finley’s Fun Run is a separate but related event to the Dolphin Dash 5K and will take place on Thursday, April 23, during your student’s Encore time. We'll start the race at Thomas Beach, take a lap around the beautiful lake Bde Maka Ska, and finish back at Thomas Beach. The 17th annual Ride the Plains is a scenic road tour of Jefferson Co, offering 13, 25, 33, 55, 66, and 80 mile fully supported ride options, all starting from Rush Strong School in Strawberry Plains. 2026 Run for Hope

A 5K Run/Walk or 10K Run/Walk in Prospect Park, Brooklyn on Saturday, April 25, 2026 at 9:00 AM. Enter the park at Bartel Pritchard Circle 15th Street and Prospect Park West. Bib pick-up will be at the finish Bartel Pritchard Circle on race day from 7:30 AM until 8:50 AM.  The Run for Hope is a celebration of the life and work of Hope Reichbach, an activist and civic leader born and raised in Brooklyn. Before she passed away in 2011, Hope worked on the campaign and in the office of Council Member Stephen Levin and worked tirelessly to make Brooklyn a better place for everybody. Simon's Heart of a Champion 5K Run/Walk

The inaugural Simon’s Heart of a Champion 5K Run/Walk will be held on Saturday, April 25, 2026 at 8AM.  All proceeds from the event will equally benefit the Simon J. Mariani Foundation, Inc.
