Miles For Moms 5K is an official Atlanta Journal-Constitution Peachtree Road Race qualifying event!  Paulding Pregnancy Services is hosting its 5th annual Miles For Moms 5K! This event proudly benefits Paulding Pregnancy Services, a 501(c)3 non-profit that has served the community since 1999. All services we offer are at no cost to the community, and we have provided assistance and resources for thousands of women and families. All proceeds for this race will go directly to fund our services that help our community, like our Earn While You Learn and Car Seat Safety programs. Just in the last year, we provided, at no cost to our clients, 1123 client care sessions. This included 340 prenatal and parenting classes, 262 ultrasounds, and 33 car seats. The Freedom Run 5K/10K is hosted annually by Georgia Southern University's Army ROTC program. The event serves as the Eagle Battalion's primary fundraiser each year to support additional educational and training opportunities and events for Cadets. The last Saturday of April each spring, over 10,000 Badgers descend downtown State Street to kick off the Crazylegs Classic. Not surprisingly, the idea for this event was hatched in late 1981 by three Badger loyalists at a campus bar. The three, Tom Grantham, Ken Sparks, and Rich Backus, wanted to raise money to support UW Athletics. As admirers of then- Athletic Director Elroy Hirsch, they asked his permission to name it the "Crazylegs Run" in his honor. The first race in 1982 attracted 1,525 runners and raised $9,500. The event grew in popularity and the walk was added in 1987 with 676 walkers the first year. The event has grown substantially reaching a record high of 20,415 in 2010. Since the inaugural race 43 years ago, it has attracted over 354,000 runners and walkers. The Good Soul 5k's purpose is not only to promote the exponential benefits of running and friendship, but to promote ALL things good for health. Our mission is to connect with as many kids and adults as we can to finally send home the message that being healthy and happy go hand in hand. By offering free workouts on all of my social media platforms, and free pop-up workouts in our community, it is my hope that everyone will be healthier and happier than ever before. Join the Kalkaska Cross Country and Track and Field teams as we present the return of the Wood Memorial Trout Run! The Wood Memorial Trout Run commemorates Chad Wood and his father Stafford. Chad was an avid runner and a youth leader in many ways. Stafford was a collegiate runner and ran countless races and marathons, who was one of Kalkaska’s treasured teachers, coaches, and administrators. In their memory, proceeds from the race are used to help fund the Kalkaska High School Cross Country and Track and Field teams. Stafford’s grandchildren and Chad’s niece and nephews have been avid runners; this race is a great way to pay homage to this family that has supported the Kalkaska Community over the years. The GlenVegas Gambler is at Lake Glendale Recreation Area. You can expect flow, chunky rocks and roots, lung and leg burning climbs and some of the fastest downhills in all of the Shawnee! These trails have been hand tuned and are maintained by members of the Shawnee Mountain Bike Association and other volunteers. These are the first trails to be designated for MTB use in the Shawnee National Forest and are some of the best riding we have in our area.. All proceeds from this race will support future trail building and maintenance by the Shawnee Mountain Bike Association.  Registration opens January 5th! 8th Annual Canaan Valley Half Marathon, 10K, and 5K  Join us for the 8th Annual Canaan Valley Half Marathon, 10k & 5k, April 25 - 26, 2026! Hosted at Canaan Valley Resort, in Tucker County, West Virginia, in the heart of the Potomac Highlands. This road race takes place in one of the East Coast’s most idyllic settings and is just a short drive to any outdoor activity you could want. The area is also home to two amazing and eclectic mountain towns full of arts and culture. So if you are looking for a new Half Marathon, 10K, or 5K to run and need a mountain vacation or just a getaway for the day or weekend, we are the race for you! Once again we will be offering all distances on both Saturday, April 25, and Sunday, April 26! We have reserved the entire Canaan Valley Resort for the weekend to create an Epic Destination Running Experience.
