The Naugatuck YMCA & Rotary are hosting our annual 5K road race in Naugatuck, CT. A 3.1 mile course that follows Naugatuck streets along the scenic Naugatuck river! Celebrating Children is a free community event in April highlighting Child Abuse Prevention Month and Month of the Military Child offered by the City of Virginia Beach, GrowSmart and the Department of Parks and Recreation. As part of this event, families and children are encouraged to participate in a Fun Run at Mt. Trashmore Park. After the Fun Run, family resource exhibitors will be on-site with children's activities and information to share, along with entertainment, mascots, and inflatables.

The Veterans Walk is a time to come together in gratitude, reflection, and connection. This walk brings veterans, first responders, and community partners side by side to honor service, share stories, and remind one another that no one walks alone. It’s a simple act with deep meaning, showing support, strengthening bonds, and creating space for conversation, understanding, and care within our community. Whether you are a veteran, a first responder, or someone who simply wants to show support, all are welcome to join the walk. Friends, families, and neighbors are encouraged to participate. Join us for the inaugural NSUF Green & Gold KIDS FUN RUN! The Foot Levelers Blue Ridge Marathon Series has earned its title as “America’s Toughest Road Marathon” by challenging runners with over 7,430 ft. in elevation change, more than any other road marathon in the U.S.  This race is the ONLY marathon that runs along the famously scenic Blue Ridge Parkway, and proceeds from this non-profit event benefit the parkway and a dozen local charities every year.  The full, half, relay and 10k all prove equally challenging yet rewarding on this mountainous course, and all runners are rewarded with a unique finishers’ medals, shirts and local craft beer at the festival-like finish in downtown Roanoke. Hosted at Pleasants Landing Marina on Lake Anna, this race and venue are amazing. The swim takes place in the southeast portion of Lake Anna, about 1/4 mile from where the “hot side” of Lake Anna empties into the cold side, resulting in water temperatures that are 4-6 degree’s warmer than the rest of the lake at this time of year. So, you  can look forward to above average water temperatures in late April. The first open water race of the regular season starts at 9AM, so you can sleep in a little and make it a day at the lake with family and friends. Views of Lake Anna and the Blue Ridge Mountains give this race a magical feel, it’s a great place to race and spend the weekend outside. The event includes a 1/2 Marathon run and a 5K run/walk.  The 5K also provides an opportunity for families and people with pets to participate. Both are held on the Yough River Trail of the Great Allegheny Passage (GAP) which provides a flat, fast, crushed limestone surface. Medals are given in both races.  Please note that medals not claimed on race day will be discarded. Pacers from Marathon Pacing will participate in the 1/2 Marathon. The Mon Yough Trail Council (MYTC) hosts this race.  It raises necessary funds for trail maintenance and upkeep throughout the year. The MYTC is one of a network of all-volunteer trail councils that exist along the GAP specifically to keep the trail open and accessible for all.

John R Lewis HS Booster Club presents you the Lancer 5K Run/Walk and Fun Loop. Runners of all experience levels are welcome. Mission All proceeds from this event will go to the Lewis High School Sports Booster Club, a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting the 24 varsity and 18 sub-varsity programs at John R. Lewis High School.

The Baby Steps 5K and One Mile Fun Run is an event organized by the Infant Crisis Services Teen Associate Board. The race will benefit Infant Crisis Services, a 501 (c) (3) organization established in 1984. Infant Crisis Services is dedicated to providing food, formula, and diapers for infants and toddlers in 29 counties across central and southern Oklahoma. The Infant Crisis Services Teen Associate Board is comprised of 47 Oklahoma City-area high schoolers in grades 9-12. Come join us for the fifth annual Try or Fail Spring Forward races! The 1-mile course will be run on the Workhouse Arts Center property starting and ending at the baseball fields going out and back. The 5K and the 10K races will both start from the Workhouse Arts Center as well, beginning on road and transitioning into the Cross Country Trail towards Giles Run before turning around to return to the Workhouse Arts Center.  The grounds of the previous Lorton Reformatory have been repurposed by the Cultural Arts Center and houses famous pieces of art by local and renown artists which truly is a site to see during the year. We are thrilled to announce the 14th annual Yuengling Light Lager Jogger 5k! The race will take place on Saturday, April 18, 2026. Join us for the only race that starts and finishes at America's oldest brewery!  The race will kick off at 9am and the post-race block party will wrap up at 1pm. The deadline to apply for a vendor space is March 1, 2026. We recommend applying early as spaces to fill quickly. The race will be run partly on a city street and mostly on an asphalt trail. It will start and finish on N 5th Street just north of the YMCA, at the intersection with N 6th Avenue. We will be using the north parking lot of the YMCA. There is also plenty of parking across Kennedy Drive at Meadowview Center. Restrooms will be available at the YMCA. Participants need to wear their bib numbers on the front and have them visible when entering the start area and when coming to the finish line. If you sign up for the walk, you must walk the entire distance. No running, no sprinting to the finish line. Bottled water and pre-wrapped snacks such as granola bars and bananas will be available at the finish. All participants will receive a finisher’s award. In January of 2015, the Olathe Police Department’s Officer Michael Kern, radio number 704, passed away from a fatal heart attack while preparing for a Presidential escort.  In his memory the annual 704 Blue Run was born and is a tribute to his service and all Olathe Officers that have been tragically lost.   Unfortunately, 2018 saw the unexpected passing of Olathe Police Department Sgt. David Williams. He too will always be remembered for his service and forever a member of this tribute run. Please join us for a beautiful 7.04 mile run or 5K run/walk to kick off your summer! Join us to honor longtime Coach Merrill Morgan Join the Seashore Striders for the 4th 5k Run & a 1 mile walk as we honor longtime Colonel Richardson High School Coach Merrill Morgan.  The former boys’ head basketball coach, Morgan, had 505 career victories, earned 485 of those over his 38 seasons at Colonel. He led Colonel to the state finals in 1976, and reached the state semifinals in 1973, 1976, 1990 and 1995.  In the fall of 1967 to joined Caroline County's Colonel Richardson High School where he served as a guidance counselor from 1967-2004; varsity boy's basketball coach from 1967-2005; and assistant girl's track coach in the 1970s. He excelled in all positions, as he encouraged and assisted both athletes and non-athletes, boys and girls, to be the best they could be. It's designed offer HYROX athletes an opportunity to test speed and strength using the HYROX race set up. The Good Fight 5k Run/Walk is a race that will be held on April 18, 2026 at Kereiakes Park in Bowling Green, KY. The event is held in memory of Vernon Long, who was an avid runner who passed from cancer in October 2021. This year, the event is also held in memory of Lacey Poppy, who after a valiant fight against cancer - passed in 2023. All proceeds from this event will be going to Life’s Better Together, Inc. and will be directly donated to support a family where someone is undergoing treatment for cancer. Your participation and support of this event not only helps the  family but shows reverence for all who are battling cancer. Our hope is that through this event, we can help those who are impacted find a community and not feel alone in fighting the good fight of cancer treatment.
