Join us for the 1/2 marathon, 10k, 5k, or Virtual!  We have a distance for everyone! All races start and finish at Cave City Park at 9 am.  OK Plus Timing Service will be there to provide chip timing. About the course: The first 3/4 mile is pavement before it turns to a roller coaster of scenic gravel roads.  The 5k and 10k are out-and-back routes.  The 1/2 marathon goes out, and you will do a “lollipop” style out and back.  Aid stations will be along the course.  This course is difficult and challenging with rolling hills. Unique finisher awards and the top 3 Male/Female awards will be given for each race.  The deadline to guarantee a t-shirt and finisher medal will be March 18, 2026.  Post-race snacks will be provided for participants at the finish line. Cinch up your shoes, secure your hat, and come run (or walk!) through Arizona's most western town.     We have a new location for this 2026 the route is an out-and-back course beginning at Vulture City Ghost Town.  This will be a spooky run.  All runs will start the Vulture City Ghost Town.  You will have an opportunity to run through the Ghost Town.  All runs are out and back along Vulture Mine Rd. The route will have desert views with mountains views at the distance. This is a 2 mile race held the first Saturday of each month.  You are running against your handicap, which is computed from your previous results for the last two years. The first time you run this event, you'll establish a base time for yourself. This base time is used to generate a handicap time. The handicap time is calculated using an algorithm developed by Bob Royse, and it's geared to favor a beginning runner and the slower runners. Click here for an explanation of the handicap algorithm. Rabbit Run is a flat and fast course along a dedicated run/bike path. The course runs along the beautiful Maria Ygnacio Creek and Obern Bike Paths which are paved with no vehicle traffic. Free parking is available along Gwyne Ave. Packet Pickup is located near the Start Line (865 Gwyne Ave, Santa Barbara) from 7-9 AM on race morning. The 10K starts at 9:00 AM, 5K at 9:10 AM, and the Kid's 1-mile (Family Fun Run, non-competitive) at 10:00 AM. Water Stations will be placed at approximately every 1.5 mile mark. There will be plenty of "nutrition" after the race.  The Awards Ceremony is also near the Start Line at 10:30AM.  Awards are issued to the top 3 runners in both the Men's and Women's categories for all Age Groups in 5-year increments for both the 5K and 10K. Two-day adult sailing classes are offered most weekends from 9 am to 4 pm at Fiddler's Cove Marina. Classes are open to all eligible MWR patrons and sponsored guests. Minimum age requirement is 16 years or older with a parent or guardian.   **A minimum of 5 hours of sail time is required post beginner sailing course.  Class fees per person vary by military affiliation and rank. Dependent fees are calculated at the sponsoring active duty or retiree rate. Pre-registration is required as classes can fill up quickly. Registration includes boat rental, instruction, and textbooks. Students per boat will be kept to the minimum amount possible in order to maximize learning potential, and will range from one to four. Number of students per boat is dependent on the boat size, sailing conditions and the skills being developed in the class. The 2026 NCAA Women's Final Four Bounce is a free event that gives thousands of children, up to age 18, the chance to bounce in a parade-style format from Heritage Square to Tourney Town presented by Capital One at the Phoenix Convention Center. Participants will enjoy music and activities as they prepare to take to the street. Additionally, by registering for the 2026 NCAA Women's Final Four Bounce, participants will receive their very own official NCAA basketball and event t-shirt as well as complimentary access for each child and parent or guardian to enjoy the entire Tourney Town experience following the Bounce. THE BOOGIE HAS MOVED! Due to permitting issues, the Bunny Boogie has been moved to Waveny Park in New Canaan. The course will follow the roads and manicured paths of the park, starting and finishing in front of the main house. I am dedicating this run to my father, Robert Willis, who has recently experienced a severe heart attack and is now coping with congestive heart failure. In my opinion, this is a pressing concern that impacts a large number of people. A heart attack of such magnitude can lead to unemployment and create substantial financial, physical, and emotional challenges. Let's come together and run for Robert, as well as for all those affected by heart problems. My thoughts and prayers are with each of you. Thank you very much!

This event was inspired by Paxton, an autistic Pasifika child, and is Pasifika-led, but open and welcoming to everyone, all cultures, all abilities, all paces. Mariposa county's classic Merced River Canyon Race returns this year with two options for runners.   McCabe Flat Flat out. This 5 mile race is from the Briceburg bridge to McCabe Flat campground and back (2.5 each way).  As the name suggests this race is about as flat as a race in the foothills can be. This race can be done at any pace but some will choose to try and set a record on the flattest footrace in the county.  Burma Grade. This 9 mile race starts at the river level and climbs up the mighty Burma Grade (4.5 each way). This race offers the most elevation of any foot race in the county and leaves the racers with an amazing sense of accomplishment.   Both races are on hardpacked unpaved roads and offer amazing scenery in the Merced River Canyon. Note on location and directions, please take highway 140 to get to Briceburg. While there are other ways to get here, they are not recommend, especially not on race day.

Do you feel the need?  The need for speed?!   If you do then this timed 1 mile run on the main runway at the Chico Regional Airport is the event for you. Or, if you want a longer race, choose the 5K option with the first mile on the runway. The Chico Air Museum is a 501(c)(3) non-profit aviation and space museum located at the Chico Regional Airport. The museum is open to the public Thursdays-Sundays and charges no admission. Numerous aircraft and historical exhibits are on display, both indoors and outdoors. Volunteer docents are available to provide tours and explain the rich aviation history of Chico and Northern California. RUN THE RUNWAY! is a timed mile and 5K for runners, joggers, and walkers which takes place on Runway 31R at the Chico Regional Airport. This is a rare and unique opportunity to run on an actual aircraft runway. Overall and age group medals will be awarded. A fun-filled 5K (3.1 Mile) course through the scenic "Greenbelt" park system within the Greenhaven/Pocket neighborhood! Participants can choose from one of three categories to enter: Race / Run / Walk. There will be monetary awards given out to the first-, second-, and third-place men's and women's finishers in the "Race" category.
