This memorial race is held in memory of Joe Mike Baker. Joe Mike lived and worked in the Sandy Bottom Community. He had many hobbies such as bowling, hunting, fishing and sports; however, he fell in love with running. At the time of his accidental death in September 2014, he was training for his first half marathon. As a tribute and to honor his memory, family and friends organized the JMB Memorial 5K and Fun Run to raise money for scholarships for high school seniors who plan to use their education to give back to their community just as Joe Mike did. Through the generous donations of the sponsors and commitment of the runners and volunteers, since 2016, the JMB Memorial 5K and Fun Run has awarded more than $34,000.00 in scholarships to 37 South Lenoir High School students. This year’s JMB Memorial 5K and Fun Run will be held at South Lenoir High School on Saturday, November 7th at 8:00am. About Cholangiocarcinoma: Bile duct cancer, or cholangiocarcinoma, is a rare and aggressive cancer that forms in the thin tubes (bile ducts) that carry digestive fluid from the liver to the small intestine. It typically affects people over 50, often remaining undetected until advanced stages, when it causes symptoms like jaundice. About 15,000 people are diagnosed with this rare disease in the US every year and treatment often involves surgery, chemotherapy, or immunotherapy. The Run for 100‑4‑HOPE 5K is more than a race, It’s the official launch of the 100‑4‑HOPE Campaign, a community movement created to ensure that no teenage girl or family is ever turned away from House of Hope Piedmont due to financial hardship. About House of Hope Piedmont House of Hope Piedmont is a Christian nonprofit ministry serving teenage girls ages 13–17 and their families throughout the Piedmont Triad. Through our residential program and on‑site school, Piedmont Hope Academy, we focus on the whole teenager, spiritually, emotionally, academically, and physically. Every girl in our care experiences the transforming power of love, receives individualized counseling, participates in therapeutic activities, and works through a structured six‑phase healing program. Families are deeply involved as well, receiving weekly counseling and skill‑building sessions designed to restore the family unit. We rely on the generosity of our community to help us continue providing hope, healing, and restoration to girls and families. About the 100‑4‑HOPE Campaign The 100‑4‑HOPE Campaign invites supporters to pledge $100 four times a year, creating an ongoing scholarship fund that helps cover operational costs, expands staffing, and ensures that families facing financial hardship never lose access to the help they need. This campaign was developed in partnership with the DCHS Heroes of Hope Club, who are co‑hosting this event and helping bring the vision to life within Davie County. The Miles for Meals 5K is a walk/run event with a course that takes participants through the lights at Tanglewood. A fun event for the entire family, with food trucks, hay rides, and more. Come out and join us in supporting the Hillsdale Church Food Ministry! *No dogs allowed on the course. This is for safety reasons. The route is dark and there have been accidents in the past with people's pets tripping participants and causing injury.*

PULL AN ALL-NIGHTER FOR MENTAL HEALTH! Sign up as an individual or with friends to run or walk all night with us as we raise awareness and funds for mental health in our local community. Funds raised will support mental health services for: UNC student athletes (offered through UNC Athletics Mental Health and Performance Psychology program - "MHPP"), Athletes (offered through The Mind Over Muscle Foundation - founded by former UNC running back Elijah Green), UNC students (offered through UNC Counseling and Psychological Services - "CAPS"), and The unhoused in Orange County (offered through the Street Outreach, Harm Reduction & Deflection team - "SOHRAD") We'll be following a roughly one-mile loop route along sidewalks all night long. The route starts in the University Baptist Church parking lot on W. Franklin, goes to the corner at S. Columbia, takes S. Columbia down to W. Cameron, W. Cameron to Kenan, and Kenan back up to W. Franklin. It's four right turns crossing no major streets--the simplest route you'll find! The church parking lot will serve as base camp for all participants. There they can take breaks between laps, rest, re-fuel, receive aid, or enjoy some of the entertainment and activities that will take place throughout the night. This is a "fun run"! Participants set their own goals for how much distance they want to cover throughout the night. The main purpose is to keep going and do as much as you can to raise awareness and funds for mental health. Do you have to stay all night? No! Participants are free to leave at any point, but we do ask that they return on Sunday morning for a celebration breakfast in the church Great Hall to enjoy a well-earned meal, hear from the organizations benefiting from funds raised, and receive their special participant awards!

What is the LivSports 24 Hour Adult Hockey Marathon benefiting LivFree? Here’s how it all works - the event is a continuous game with 60 to 90 skaters playing on two teams in 3 rotating groups based on ability, with a running score from opening puck drop to the final horn. Each player raises $750 for the cause. LivFree is a pediatric cancer non-profit organization that provides children and their families with moments of joy to take a break from struggle and enjoy some family time together. Whether it's tickets to a game, a Broadway show, or a night out, LivFree is here to help the whole family. When will this take place, and how does it work? The event starts at 12pm on Saturday, November 7th, 2026, and the final horn will sound at 12pm Sunday, November 8th, 2026. Teams will be broken up into 3 groups (A, B, and C) based on ability, and each skater will get a minimum of 7 hours of ice time. The standard swag for each player will be a custom jersey, synthetic hockey socks, an event t-shirt, meals, snacks, drinks, and more. What arena will this take place at? We knew coming into this that the best way to honor the effort of the players, both in their fundraising and in their time on the ice, was by securing an amazing venue. On Saturday, November 7th, the Carrollton Rotary Club will be hosting our 5th annual 5k race at the Carroll County Fairgrounds! Events include a 5K race or walk, a 1 mile race or walk, music, and tables with representatives from local organizations. 1-Miler begins at 8:45 and the 5K begins at the completion of the 1-miler at approximately 9 AM. Registration is $30 for adults and $10 for students in the 5k. Kids running the mile are $5. Online registration ends on Thursday, November 5th, at which time the fee increases to $35 for adults.

This is a celebration of everything that makes Norwood a true gem! Join us on Saturday, November 7, 2026, for the 3rd annual Memorial 3.1-mile (5K) run and 1-mile walk in honor of the legacy of Dr. John (Jack) O'Handley. Affectionately known as "Dr. O", Jack was the Medical Director of the Mount Carmel Street Medicine program for 25+ years, where he was a beloved physician, teacher, mentor, and friend to all. Dr. O was known by his patients to be a compassionate, loving, and gentle doctor, who loved a good corny joke. Dr. O practiced what he preached in living a very healthy lifestyle. He ran a 5K nearly every weekend with fellow colleagues, students, and friends, inspiring many to lead a more active life. The Street Medicine program provides no-cost medical care to individuals who are uninsured or underinsured. The mobile medical coach is accessible at nine locations across central Ohio and provides urgent care services for acute illness, infections, wounds, and unmanaged chronic disorders. Patients can also receive assistance with social needs such as food resources, specialty appointments, and connection to primary care. Three days a week, medical teams take to the streets, literally, bringing medical care to individuals living outside. The Street Medicine program has been in operation for forty years, reducing access barriers for those who are underserved. The Street Medicine program logs over 4,000 patient encounters annually. Proceeds from the race will support medical care provided in the community on behalf of the Street Medicine program. On the day of the race, the Street Medicine team will be collecting needed items that can be given a new life with patients. Good condition hoodies, athletic pants, and tennis shoes are needed for both men and women. Those bringing items to donate will be entered into a raffle drawing.

CCA is a private classical school in central Ohio, serving grades K-11, adding a grade each year through grade twelve. CCA is a Hillsdale College Curriculum School, a distinction that offers our school access to a tried-and-true K-12 Curriculum from the Hillsdale College K-12 Education Office. Do you have a little one aged 6 or under looking to participate in the day's festivities, but not interested in doing the full 5K? The Kids Run taking place before the 5K at 8:30AM is a great option for you! Starting and finishing at the arch, Kids Runners will run 100m out, turn around, and come on back to the finish, fully visible for the entirety of the race. Join the River City Runners & Walkers Club as we host our 6th annual Broughton 5 Mile Trail Race at the Broughton Nature Park in Marietta, OH! This is a true trail race that will take advantage of the beautiful wooded trails beginning at the Broughton Complex and take runners on a tour of the Marietta wilderness. The race will begin in the grass near the bike path and start with the Orange Loop course going up-hill. The course will then merge with the Red Loop and continue on that trail through the rest of the race making a full 5 mile loop back to the start line. While the course is challenging, the terrain levels off after the first mile. The course will be properly marked with a water stations around the 1 mile and 2.5 mile marks. Packet pick-up begins in the pavilion near the start line at 7:00 AM and race begins at 9:00 AM. The course has a 2-1/2 hour time limit. All participants will receive a race shirt and awards will be given to top 3 male and top 3 female and top 2 in each 10-year age group in walk and run. Runners and walkers will begin at 9:00 AM.

Join us for the 1st annual Ohio (Cleveland Area) SCADaddle to raise money for much-needed SCAD research. Participants are invited to participate in the 5K walk/run at their own pace on the paved pathways and wooded trails at Longwood Park in Macedonia, Ohio. Our Cause Spontaneous Coronary Artery Dissection (SCAD) is a little known and poorly understood type of heart attack. SCAD is the #1 cause of heart attacks in women under age 50, pregnant women & new moms. Most patients are younger healthy women who do not have the typical risk factors of heart disease. Although less common, it can affect men too. Research is needed to identify the cause(s) and the best treatment options. Morley's Run is a 5 mile Run or a 5 Mile Walk. Both events are competitive, family oriented and open to all ages. The race course takes participants by many Johnstown landmarks, beginning at the Westmont Grove and ending in downtown Johnstown at Peoples Natural Gas Park. All proceeds from this event benefit the Newspapers in Education (NIE) program that supplies newspapers to area teachers to use as curriculum in their classrooms.

The Thomas Jefferson High School Color Fun Run/Walk is an untimed event. It is an event to raise money for Traumatic Brain Injury Awareness and also to donate to different groups of need in the school such as the Thanksgiving Food Drive or the Holiday Gift Fund. Participants will run and/or walk the course on the grounds of Thomas Jefferson High School. Throughout the course, there will be SIX color stations. The color stations consist of a cornstarch based substance that will be thrown on the participants. Prior to the start of the race, all participants will participate in a Color Blast. Please be mindful of any allergies prior to registering. Each participant, registered by Monday October 12, 2026, will receive a black t-shirt, a drawstring bag, and TWO individual color packets. Registration will be $15 if you choose "No T-Shirt" Registration after October 12th is permitted but there is no guarantee that a shirt will be available. You will still receive a drawstring bag and two individual color packets. The course will include some rough terrain as the cross country course will be used for the more adventurous 5K participants. EVENT DESCRIPTION: The event includes a chip-timed 5K Run, an untimed 1.4 Mile Walk and ALL DAY CELEBRATION from 9am to 4pm! We are gathering to honor Anthony DiPrinzio’s life and legacy on what would have been his 30th birthday this December. All proceeds from this event will be allocated to the Anthony DiPrinzio Entrepreneurship Endowment at the Sutardja Center for Entrepreneurship and Technology (SCET) at University of California, Berkeley. Gifts to the Entrepreneurship Endowment support programs for Berkeley students, with a preference for programs and activities in entrepreneurship, blockchain and technical innovation. At SCET, students gain an innovative mindset, acquire hands-on experience, and turn their ideas into impact. Contributions will support student entrepreneurs to expand and challenge their innovation and technology skills with the intent to create new, futuristic ideas that will lead to advancements in innovation and technology across multifaceted industries. The honor was presented to a student member of the Sutardja Center for Entrepreneurship and Technology (SCET) who embodied SCET’s mission of empowering innovators to change the world and make an extraordinary contribution to the campus innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem, just as Anthony did! Anthony DiPrinzio Professional Development Session Held twice per year, the Anthony DiPrinzio Professional Development Session is led by a Cal alum and provides a tangible benefit to students participating in the *Collider Cup & Expo. Innovation champion candidates, which include 60-70 students from the Collider Cup & Expo, are invited per session. *Collider Cup & Expo is held annually at UC Berkeley with over 200 in-person attendees and many online viewers, where approximately one dozen teams compete at SCET’s flagship event. SCET believes that innovation is an interdisciplinary activity. While many students are drawn from SCET’s courses, Collider Cup is accessible to all students and majors, fostering an environment where diverse minds collaborate, innovate, and embark on innovative journeys. This is a creative way to share Anthony’s legacy and instill his innovative and entrepreneurial spirit in current UC Berkeley students and the greater SCET community!

Our 13th annual race will be held on Saturday, November 7th at 10:00 in Conneaut Lake. It is an out and back course that runs parallel to Conneaut Lake starting at Firemen’s Beach. Registrations received by October 6th receive a race shirt. The race is open to runners and walkers. This race will offer a variety of surfaces, from paved path to single track roots and rock, as well as packed gravel and some mulch path. There is plenty of shade. We offer a great aid station at the start/finish area and this year we are going cupless! Don't wait until the last minute to sign up for this year's race! There are 3 options to register for: 50k- begins at 8:00am.
