ABOUT THE RACE Join us for the annual Providence Monster dash on Sunday, October 25, 2026 in Downtown Providence, RI. Celebrate Halloween FUN with loved ones and run or walk this FUN Halloween 5K. Don't forget the kids! Our kids race is open to children 12 and under. Join us for our 3rd annual Ride the Tide. This is the last leg of our Tour De South Jersey Series. The ride will start and end at Slack Tide Brewing .   After the ride join us at the brewery for your complimentary beer and some post ride fun. We will have a food truck and live music. Second Wind Running Club welcomes you to the Allerton Park Trail Run! Let's hit the trails!  A good portion of the 5.7-mile course follows the Sangamon River which has proven quite challenging over the years.  Runners may find hidden roots, ruts, sharp turns, and other obstacles.  We donate a portion of the proceeds back to Allerton Park for trail maintenance or park enhancements. Our donations have been used towards a railing at a dangerous spot, trail erosion control, recycle bins, water fountain bottle filling station, a new café in the visitor's center, and more. We feel quite fortunate that the park allows us to bring so many into it and pound the trails! This year's 5K walk is in person on October 25th and can be a solo virtual event for you if you cannot make it on the 19th (Walk anytime, anywhere in the month of October to raise funds for mental health care for the uninsured and underinsured).  This walk benefits Spiritus Christi Mental Health Center, where we are celebrating 24 years of providing access to mental health care and support to people who need it, regardless of their insurance status or income. Our volunteer staff of therapists, social workers, and advocates helps people get the care they need to live safe, healthy, less stressful lives.  Last year, 204 people participated in one or more of our programs. Welcome to the 6th Annual Haunted Forest Marathon Weekend Family Friendly / Themed event featuring a Full Marathon (26.2 miles), a Half Marathon (13.1 miles), and 5K (3.1 miles). First mile on the road / remainder of the race on hard packed crushed limestone and blacktop. Marathon has a total of 57 feet of elevation over the 26.2 mile distance! The RVA Mile (aka Regency Mile), along with the 5 & Under 400m Express Run, has held the record for the largest timed youth road race in Richmond for 15 years!  With both in-person and virtual race options, an adult race, condensed start times, and a fall festival, this event provides a family-friendly day of racing. Kids Without Cancer presents the Haunted Hustle 5k and Monster Mile!    The event takes place on Sunday, October 25th at ITC Community Sports Park in Northville. The 18th annual Freaky Friday 8K takes place on a scenic yet scary course during the darkness.  There will be a post-race awards ceremony complete with food and drinks at Dreamland Barbecue along with a costume contest prior to the start of the run.  Local radio stations and craft beer will also be on hand for registered runners. Event Details: October 30th.  Friday pre-halloween Evening Run  We have partnered with the USS Hornet to bring back a super fun and unique race experience to Alameda. Our "day of the dead" Twilight Run we did a few years ago is back, just moving the date slightly to coincide with Halloween. The event will still benefit the USS Hornet Museum and will start at 6:30pm. Sunset is scheduled that evening for 6:12pm, so headlamps are recommended but we will have lights on the course.  Costume highly recommended and encouraged!  The run will take you for a scenic loop around Alameda Point, starting and finishing at the Pier. The run is NOT officially timed, but there will be an illuminated clock at the finish line.   While the luminaries gorgeously define the course, we recommend you bring a flashlight, especially if you are a slower runner.
