Boston Marathon qualifying USATF Certified Course The course starts (and finishes) at the Bowling Green Ballpark and runs a 13.1 mile loop through historic downtown Bowling Green, Kentucky and the beautiful campus of Western Kentucky University. All proceeds from the bg26.2 & half marathon go to the National MS Society in memory of Susan B. Riherd.  All finishers will receive a finisher's medal along with post-race refreshments. Quarry Shack 5 Miler 6th Annual October 31, 2026   This Year's Race Will Be On HALLOWEEN!!!!!   INTRO: Come relieve history while running Ghosttown Trail's first ever nighttime race now in its 6th year that brings fun and excitement to all who partake. This 5 mile race will be held on the Rexis Branch, this race is currently the only standalone race held on this section. You will start right past the closed gate next to the old train at the Rexis trailhead. From there you will run 2.5 miles out then turn around about a tenth of a mile after the Red Mill Bridge you cross over on the trail, coming back to where you started. It's a completely closed course. There are no road crossings or any intersections you have to worry about. Its a straight out and back in the dark on a beautiful section of trail. This means you will required to have some sort of light for you to see while running. It's a great chance to have some safe fun near Halloween while running in the dark. If y

Quarry Shack 5 Miler 6th Annual October 31, 2026   This Year's Race Will Be On HALLOWEEN!!!!!   INTRO: Come relieve history while running Ghosttown Trail's first ever nighttime race now in its 6th year that brings fun and excitement to all who partake. This 5 mile race will be held on the Rexis Branch, this race is currently the only standalone race held on this section. You will start right past the closed gate next to the old train at the Rexis trailhead. From there you will run 2.5 miles out then turn around about a tenth of a mile after the Red Mill Bridge you cross over on the trail, coming back to where you started. It's a completely closed course. There are no road crossings or any intersections you have to worry about. Its a straight out and back in the dark on a beautiful section of trail. Race Description  Join us on October 31th, 2026, for a scenic run through the Southern Kettle Moraine Forest on the historic Ice Age Trail. Participants can choose between 100k and 50k distances. Each finisher will have the opportunity to brand their wooden medal on-site, with the option to have their finishing time burned on the back. The Silver Comet Half Marathon & Full Marathon are out and back USATF Certified races held entirely on the beautiful Silver Comet Trail just outside Atlanta in Mableton Georgia the last Saturday of each October.  The marathon is a Boston Qualifier event.   Our grass root events are perfect for first timers or competitive runners seeking PRs.  The Silver Comet Trail is beautiful and provides a flat and fast course. Come join us for the 5th  annual running of The Boo! On Broad will be Saturday, October 31.  This race is the beginning of the excitement leading into the mayhem that happens on Broad St every Halloween. We will be giving prizes for best costumes, all participants are encouraged to dress up. We will have a 1K Fun Run that starts at 8:00am. The 5K begins at 8:30am. Both races start on Broad St and finish in front of the Statham Elementary School Gym. Proceeds from both runs will benefit the SES and Bear Creek Middle School Running Clubs. The running club at SES is for 4th and 5th graders and the earnings will go to much needed running clothes and apparel for the students. The running club at BCMS includes 6th, 7th and 8th graders. They are also in need of clothes and apparel as well as track and field equipment. Both clubs promote a healthy lifestyle and a source of self-confidence and accomplishment for the students.

In an effort to help raise awareness and resources,  DA Racine is inviting you to support the annual Trek or Treat 5k Justice Run!   Douglas County District Attorney Dalia Racine partners annually with the ATIR-Wellness Community Inc. to raise funds for local domestic violence support organizations. This year SHAREHouse, the Trinity Center, and the Douglas County Solicitor's Office has partnered alongside the Douglas County District Attorney's Office and the ATIR Community for the race.
