The NCANA Run for Joy is a 5K race that supports mental health advocacy and wellness for health care trainees. Mental health issues and suicide are becoming increasingly common among health care trainees and providers.  Training programs are usually very rigorous, caring for patients is stressful, and those who care for others often feel that they can’t or shouldn’t admit that they need care themselves. Unfortunately, there is often a stigma associated with mental illness, and trainees may feel that admitting that they struggle could damage their careers.     Run for Joy seeks to combat this stigma and support the mental wellness of heath care trainees. Proceeds from the race help finance initiatives that enhance mental wellness and provide support for those needing mental health services. The 39th Annual Circleville Classic 5K Run/Walk has an In-Person Race and a number of Virtual Events! In-Person Race start time: 9:00 AM In-Person Race day check-in begins: 7:30 AM (there is no race day registration) The traditional 5 Mile Run will be a 5K Run/Walk this year due to increase safety concerns with Pumpkin Show traffic. Whether you’re an experienced mountain biker or new to the sport, we’ve got a race you will find enjoyable and challenging. Many are familiar with triathlons competed on paved roads; however, fewer athletes have challenged themselves with an off-road duathlon. The transition area will be set up in the grassy field near the main park office. You’ll start and finish each leg of the duathlon from here. The first leg will be a 5k trail run that will wind through the trails going to the boat ramp. The trails are wide single track and should be a pleasant trail run. You’ll circle back to the transition area and get your bike for the second leg. The bike leg will enter the trail system from the beach to the left/east of the main office. Your ride will take you along the water's edge and through the woods over towards the camping area and Persimmon Beach. The city of Orangeburg will be a hotbed for excitement, energy and enthusiasm.  Join us on October 24, 2025 for the 6th Annual Bulldogs on the Run 5K & Bark.  The mission of the event is to promote health and fitness, while providing financial support to students attending South Carolina State University.   The 5k is a 3.1 mile course that will occur in the downtown area of the Garden City.   The Bark is a 1.0 mile out-and-back route that will stretch along the outskirts of the 5K route. SWIM (Half): 1.2 Miles (Ocean/Channel)BIKE (Half): 56 MilesRUN (Half): 13.1 Miles   The Edisto Island Triathlon Pro-Am is a half iron distance triathlon and is moving into its sixth year in 2026 after five wildly successful events!  This triathlon is held entirely on Edisto Island and Edisto Beach, South Carolina.  This soon to be world famous race features a "with the tide" channel swim and two loop bike that is flat and fast.  The run course is a two loop out and back course along the island's "interior" roads and is one of the flattest run courses you will find.     The swim starts at Live Oak Boat Ramp and will be a with the current, point to point, channel swim which will be wetsuit legal. The course will be fast and will finish at The Marina adjacent to Bay Creek Park.  A very short run off the boat ramp will bring athletes in the transition area.  We will stage the swim based on the tide so swimmers will be swimming WITH the current.  THIS SWIM IS FAST!! We are on CARA's 2026 Runner's Choice Race Circuit Again! Lake Bluff PTO Pumpkin Chase 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run is on Saturday October 24, 2026. The 5K starts @ 8AM and the Fun Run starts @ 9:15AM. Our 5K course is a certified course (USATF- IL-14092-JW) that travels along the beautiful tree lined streets of east Lake Bluff down to the bluff overlooking the shores of Lake Michigan.
