Whether you've never heard of adventure racing or are a seasoned pro looking for a partial-day challenge, this event is for you. WHAT: 3rd Annual “Neck of the Woods” Adventure Race (5-hour). Solo or teams of up to 4 persons (1,2,3 or 4 on a team)   WHEN: October 24th, 2026 0700 mandatory pre-race briefing, 0730 launch time, must finish by 1230   WHERE: Huntersville, NC   COST: $40/person  This adventure race will be like a scavenger hunt on bike and on foot (no paddle/swim/water section). That doesn't necessarily mean you won't get wet.   All maps are preplotted with possible checkpoints to find. Each checkpoint you find earns you points. The team/solo with the most points in the least amount of time wins (Solo & Team category awards). The NCANA Run for Joy is a 5K race that supports mental health advocacy and wellness for health care trainees. Mental health issues and suicide are becoming increasingly common among health care trainees and providers.  Training programs are usually very rigorous, caring for patients is stressful, and those who care for others often feel that they can’t or shouldn’t admit that they need care themselves. Unfortunately, there is often a stigma associated with mental illness, and trainees may feel that admitting that they struggle could damage their careers.     Run for Joy seeks to combat this stigma and support the mental wellness of heath care trainees. Proceeds from the race help finance initiatives that enhance mental wellness and provide support for those needing mental health services. Beginning and ending at Shelburne Field House, the half marathon is a loop course in picturesque Shelburne, Vermont.  You'll be running on a combination of dirt and back roads including a portion on the Meach Cove property, running past Shelburne Farms, and a stretch of Harbor Road with beautiful views of Lake Champlain and the Adirondacks.  The 5K and 10K courses are both out-and-back courses that run along Harbor Road and back. The 5K is relatively flat, whereas the 10K has a couple of hills.

The Southern Utah Triathlon is a great race held at Quail Creek Reservoir. This location is only 10 mins away from locations like St George, Hurricane and Sandhollow Reservoir. This is a great Sprint Course and the Olympic is done in a F1 Format meaning that the Sprint it repeated. This course is not easy but beautiful.

Get ready for the second annual PARAGHOUL 5K/10K on October 25th 2024 at 8:00 am in beautiful downtown Paragould, Arkansas! Whether you're back for year two or it's your first time we promise you a race you won't want to miss! Runners will start in downtown Paragould and hit the beautiful (and paved!) 8 Mile Creek Trail for the 5k and 10k races and cross the finish line to get a must have medal that's even bigger and better than last years! The Arkansas 20K will start and end at the River Center in Benton. All turns are marked with large signs with arrows. The race will be chip timed. The course will remain open until 11:00am. Temperatures can range from the mid-50s to mid- 80s. Humidity can sometimes be high. The 20K is an excellent test/training run for a fall marathon as well as a challenging race in its own right.

Batavia United Way is pleased to announce the 13th annual Bat Race 5K/10K on October 24, 2026, beginning at River and State Street in downtown Batavia at 8:15 a.m. This chip-timed event along the beautiful Fox River Bike Path has drawn runners and walkers to our lovely town from 30 surrounding zip codes for 10 years.
