Runners will need to park at the Russ Research Center parking lot at 2670 Indian Ripple Rd (across the street and a bit up the hill from the Nature Center). COURSE: The course is 5.7 miles on trails. Celebrate the fall colors and changing seasons with a trail run through Secor and Wiregrass Metroparks!! There will be two races - an 8 miler and a 5K (full disclosure...due to the need to use existing trails, the distances are actually about 7.7 and 3.3 miles. So you have the opportunity to set PR's in a new distance!!). Both races start at Secor Metropark on the all-purpose trail. Runners in the 8 miler will start adjacent to the Secor Room at Secor Park, follow the all-purpose trail counter-clockwise, connect to the Moseley Trail and follow it to Wiregrass Lake, then do a loop around the lake and return on the Moseley and all-purpose trails to the finish at the Secor Room. Runners in the 5K will run one loop of the "long version" of the Secor park all-purpose trail. Both courses are flat and non-technical. Walkers are welcome in the 5K. The Eastwood Neighborhood Association (ENA) is excited to once again sponsor the Eastwood 5-Mile Run! The 2026 run will be in-person only (no virtual option). This is our 20th anniversary year!  Race proceeds support scholarships for two graduating local high school seniors, the cross-country program at Henninger High School, and ENA's community health and wellness programs.    Register:  Online registration only!  No cash or paper accepted.

This year's 5K walk is in person on October 25th and can be a solo virtual event for you if you cannot make it on the 19th (Walk anytime, anywhere in the month of October to raise funds for mental health care for the uninsured and underinsured).  This walk benefits Spiritus Christi Mental Health Center, where we are celebrating 24 years of providing access to mental health care and support to people who need it, regardless of their insurance status or income. Our volunteer staff of therapists, social workers, and advocates helps people get the care they need to live safe, healthy, less stressful lives.  Last year, 204 people participated in one or more of our programs. The Halloween themed Boos & Brews 5K has become a staple event for Willow Running in CNY and the Southern Tier over the past few years. it's the ultimate combination of "run" and "fun". FALL Run the Farm is a 5 mile trail race to be held at Muscoot Farm in Katonah/Somers, NY on October 25, 2026.  Race start times:-8:30AM Kids race #1 (Age 7-12)-8:45AM Kids race #2 (Age 6 & under) Note: Kids Race #1 will be finished before Kids Race #2 gets underway.-9:30AM Run The Farm Note - kids ages are calculated as of the day of the race Oct 25th. Run/walk 4 mile loop around the beautiful Chadwick Lake in Newburgh, NY. The terrain is a wide gravel trail relatively flat and easy with a few small hills. The fall season is a perfect time to enjoy the foliage of this scenic park while participating in this unique event. Recognition and awards for the top male and female runners overall and within age categories. T-shirts and swag bags included for the first 100 registrations. Second Wind Running Club welcomes you to the Allerton Park Trail Run! Let's hit the trails!  A good portion of the 5.7-mile course follows the Sangamon River which has proven quite challenging over the years.  Runners may find hidden roots, ruts, sharp turns, and other obstacles.  We donate a portion of the proceeds back to Allerton Park for trail maintenance or park enhancements. Our donations have been used towards a railing at a dangerous spot, trail erosion control, recycle bins, water fountain bottle filling station, a new café in the visitor's center, and more. We feel quite fortunate that the park allows us to bring so many into it and pound the trails!
