Just for the Helena of It is a fall running event in Helena, MT put on by the Treasure State Runners, a local non-profit organization. The mission of Treasure State Runners is to fundraise through footrace events in the Helena area for nonprofits who foster the importance and pursuit of physical, mental and emotional health.   This year's half marathon, 10k, and 5k routes will highlight the beautiful town of Helena, MT and the surrounding area. 5k participants will be treated to a course full of our Montana big sky. A Race Series Designed by Runners, for RunnersIn 2021 we created the McKirdy Micro Marathon series to help athletes run a personal best and qualify for the Boston Marathon or beyond. At the time, we were just coming out of the COVID-19 pandemic where opportunities to run fast times were limited and motivation to continue training was difficult with no races on the calendar. In 2023, we took the same concept and applied it at an elite level, hosting a race for athletes targeting the USATF Olympic Trials Qualifying Standard (OTQ) or the Olympic Standard. The 28th Annual Bill Bone Tropical Triathlon is a USAT Sanctioned sprint triathlon/duathlon/aquabike race that will take place on October 18, 2025.  the event consists of a .25 mile swim (or a one mile run for duathlon), a 13 mile bike and a 5k run (no run for aquabike) on the most beautiful course in Palm Beach County. Race route includes spectacular ocean vistas, a bike course that includes a bridge challenge along with a fun downtown loop in the fast 13 mile course. Finish with a run that includes a view of the Snook Island preserve and an Intracoastal path as you sail through Bryant Park and Historic neighborhoods.

The WMRT Marathon/half marathon/10k is back for the 11th edition in 2026. Located in Reston, VA, this suburban park has a beautiful lake, huge open fields, pavilions, and an awesome trail network. Our course is almost entirely singletrack except for the prologue.  There is about 300 feet of elevation change on the 5 mile course.  While not overly technical, there are some rocks and roots to negotiate along most of the course. UToledo Health and the Eleanor N. Dana Cancer Center are excited to invite the community to join us for our 2nd Annual Breast Cancer Awareness 5K & 1 Mile Fun Run Sunday 10/18/26 from 10am to 12pm.  Friends and families are welcome to walk or run, either 1 mile loop or 3.1 Mile course, and everyone is encouraged to wear pink breast cancer awareness gear!  Hosted at the Eleanor N. The Canal Tavern 5k Run & Walk is a chip-timed race along the scenic Ohio & Erie Canal Towpath Trail between Fort Laurens, Bolivar and the Canal Lands Park trailhead in Zoar. After the race, there will be an Octoberfest-style party on the patio of the Canal Tavern of Zoar. Proceeds from this race will benefit the development and maintenance of the Towpath Trail at Canal Lands Park in Tuscarawas County. Racer registrations made by September 18, 2026 will receive a guaranteed free t-shirt for the race.  If registered after this date, t-shirts will be handed out the day of the race on a first come, first serve basis while supplies last. Dirt Days Trail Series - Shawnee Lookout "West-Side-Best-Side" Trail Run Sunday, October 18, 2026 9:00 am Shawnee Lookout Hamilton County Park   DATE IS TENTATIVE PENDING PARK APPROVAL   Shawnee Lookout is located at the Southwest corner of Hamilton County and is perched above the confluence of the Great Miami and Ohio Rivers. It is well known for its historical Spring house School and Log Cabin and Native American archaeological earthworks. The park's nature trails, including the 1.3-mile Blue Jacket, 2.0-mile Little Turtle and the 1.4-mile Miami Fort trail, offer spectacular views of the Ohio River and Great Miami River valleys. The park also features picnic areas, a playground and boat access to the Great Miami River. Begins and ends at the Waterhole Meadow Shelter. The Course combines the two lollipop loops of the Blue Jacket and Little Turtle nature trails and includes breathtaking views of the river valley below.  This is the final event of the Dirt Days Trail Series

The Shorefire 25K and 10K take runners on a scenic tour linking the Smith Mountain Lake State Park trail system. The park’s stunning lake views are easy to enjoy thanks to well-maintained doubletrack trails, with open stretches of shoreline and a variety of native forest terrain. Flat, fast sections are balanced with several punchy climbs to keep things interesting. 25K: The 25K course starts and finishes at the Beach Pavilion. The first 0.2 miles heads up the main parking lot and along the road, giving runners space to spread out before turning right at the Playground parking lot and heading into a flat, runnable section of doubletrack trail. Overall, the course is fast and mostly nontechnical, with a little over 1800 feet of elevation gain spread across rolling hills. The biggest challenge may not be the terrain; it’s resisting distraction from the beautiful lake views along the way. THE GIRLFRIENDS AND PINK BRIGADE HAVE RAISED OVER $900,000 OVER THE LAST 18 YEARS!The 20th Annual Girlfriends Run offers a Half Marathon, 10K & 6K designed specifically for women to get together to do something good for themselves and to help support a very important women’s cause. We started this event to honor and support one of our BFFs, Joleen Skarberg, who was diagnosed with Breast Cancer and continues to run it every year with her daughters, sisters, nieces, cousins and girlfriends! Watch for her – she’ll be wearing #1! About half the gals run, half walk and many do a combination of running and walking. It doesn’t matter how you get to the finish line, as long as you get there!

The Malta 5k Trail Race course begins at the Luther Forest Tech Campus soccer fields and quickly enters some of the best maintained trails in the area at 100 Acre Woods.   Most of the course is covered in stone dust and 6' wide. Other sections are on soft ground that feels like you are immersed in nature. This course is for everyone that loves to run or hike on trails with beautiful scenery the whole way!  #Malta5kTrailRace Volunteers from Roundabout Runners Club maintain these trails.  100% of proceeds from the event go to activities that support the club efforts to keep these trails in great shape! Price increase after the Malta 5K Road Race on September 12th, then again the last week before the event.
