The Micro: Breaking 4

Walker, MI
A Race Series Designed by Runners, for RunnersIn 2021 we created the McKirdy Micro Marathon series to help athletes run a personal best and qualify for the Boston Marathon or beyond. At the time, we were just coming out of the COVID-19 pandemic where opportunities to run fast times were limited and motivation to continue training was difficult with no races on the calendar. In 2023, we took the same concept and applied it at an elite level, hosting a race for athletes targeting the USATF Olympic Trials Qualifying Standard (OTQ) or the Olympic Standard. When the day was done: 48 athletes ran under the 2:18:00/2:37:00 OTQ StandardMore OTQs came from our race than any other race in 2023Our race produced 2 Olympians69% of the fin

Salisbury, CT
Join us for year EIGHT of Connecticut's most monstrous 5k in the majestic hills of Salisbury Connecticut. Our third year as a USATF certified course, is specially dedicated this year to Peter Hawley, who was a runner among runners and the most generous champion of race directors across Connecticut, certifying hundreds of races and doing double duty to raise money and awareness.  The route climbs what feels like 1,000 ft in the first mile, but gains an actual 500 feet at mile 1.3 before runners turn around at the top of Lincoln City Road, and fly back down the same steeps, flanked by extraordinary views of Lake Wononscopomuc during autumn's final peak. As always, this run is fun(d)raiser with proceeds supporting evidence-based adventure and arts and educational programming for people ages 12-20 in order to prevent the elevated risks for alcohol and drug abuse faced by young people in rural areas of New England where the overdose rate is among the highest in the state. Winning requires extreme willpower, mastery across disciplines, and sometime a little luck.  When the race ends, teams come together for an evening meal. We announce the national champions, crown the winners of the national points series, and celebrate the amazing adventure racing community.  The 2026 race is limited to teams of four in three divisions:  mixed gender, all-women, all-men.  There is not a separate masters division, though the top masters teams from across all divisions will be recognized. Race check-in will be Thursday, October 22, 2026. The 30-hour race will start Friday morning, October 23, 2026, and end Saturday afternoon, October 24, 2026. Priority registration opens January 1,

Cactus Rose Endurance Trail Race

Bandera, TX
RACE DATES: OCTOBER 23-25, 2026. No whiners, wimps, or wusses.  This is a rugged trail running race that was designed to test runners.  The course can go by quickly because of it's picturesque views;  technical climbs and descents; and fun terrain.  But be careful looking at the scenery too long, you might end up face first in a cactus. Please understand this race does not have our usual full spread aid stations and volunteers...on purpose. We have medical staff, but you are required to be able to handle your own needs out on the course.  People asked for a tough race, so Tejas Trails made it happen.  Enjoy! Cactus Rose is capped at 500 total runners for all distances. While every racer will get some cool swag, September 29 is the deadline to get a shirt.
