On Saturday, October 17, 2026, enjoy a beautiful run through Sakonnet Vineyard in Little Compton, RI.  Grab some friends and enjoy a trail run finishing amongst the vines.  After the race, there will be dinner, wine, and music in the vineyard.  Race participants will receive a souvenir wine glass as a memento of their experience. The "March" was the brainchild of Jerry Edmundson, former director of the Dyersburg/Dyer County Union Mission.  Edmundson created the race in 1991 to promote the Mission's youth programs, and the race has been held on Dyersburg's Square the third Saturday of October every year since. In 2016, when the Mission relinquished sponsorship of the event, Sarah Alley and a committee of supporters renewed the race as the Autumn March for ALS Awareness. Proceeds go towards Tennessee ALS Chapter, local Senior Scholarships, and supporting Matthew 25:40, Inc. Sarah Alley has been living with ALS for 13 years. She attributes this to her Faith in God and love of family, friends, community, and church family. The race will have new courses for all races beginning the Downtown Farmers Market. Join the Hyattsville Elementary School PTA for the 10th annual Zombie Run! The 10th anniversary Hyattsville Zombie Run will be held in Driskell Park on October 18th! Matthew, a brave young boy who lost his life at just 9 years old after a valiant fight against leukemia. Throughout his battles, Matthew exemplified incredible resilience and positivity. Matthew's parents and friends established Miles 4 Matthew to offer financial assistance to families facing pediatric cancer while raising awareness and fostering a positive mindset. Matthew, initially diagnosed with ALL at age 4, beat cancer but faced a rare relapse in 2022. Despite his struggles, he remained upbeat and determined. This is our fourth year for the Beach Girl Triathlon and we have moved it back to the Seaside Resort, in Galveston on Saturday, October 17th.  The swim is a 200 meter pool swim followed by a 8 mile bike and a 2 mile beach run in on the Holiday Inn property. ABSOLUTELY EPIC! No other way to describe our inaugural event. As a result, we are setting the stage for the 2nd Annual Lizard Peak Scramble in Lake Havasu City, AZ to be bigger, better and rowdier. Needless to say, we were stoked at your response.  We had participants from the four corners of AZ, across the Southwest and as far away as Washington, Texas, Montana and Minnesota. Many racers brought the heat. From our 10k to our 5k fun run loop we had people leave it all on the trail.  We had a total of 263 registered participants across all events in 2025 including the Kids Dirt Dash which was an absolute homerun.  For 2026 we are preparing for a significant increase in racers, casual runners and hikers.  If you came last year, you know what a great time it was. Just over the Chesapeake Bay Bridge, on the Eastern Shore of Maryland, this straight forward event will be a great way to end your season!  Come experience the Matapeake Beach area with a 1/2 mile swim in the Chesapeake Bay, a 12 mile out-and-back bike ride along the straight and flat Route 8 (Romancoke Road) corridor, and then it's back out for an out-and-back 3.1 mile run on the South Island Trail. The County of Santa Clara Reentry Resource Center and its partners are hosting a 5K run/walk to raise money to support the immediate needs of justice-involved people (clothing, food, hygiene, transportation, etc.). The in-person 5K will take place on Saturday, October 17th at Hellyer County Park with a race start time of 9:00AM. Participants who choose the virtual option can run or walk the race on the day and time of their choice between October 17, 2026, and October 31, 2026. Everybody has a story. Just listen. You never know what is going on behind their smile. Approximately 22 veterans take their own lives PER DAY. At 22 Too Many, they are committed to increasing public knowledge and awareness of PTS. 22 TOO MANY is also devoted to honoring the memory of the fallen who have been lost to suicide, as well as providing comfort and support to their mourning families. Suicide is not only a military issue. A 2024 National Veteran Suicide Prevention Annual Report, 131.2 U.S. adults died by suicide PER DAY. Please join us in raising money for this amazing charity, our veterans, and others affected by suicide.

Please join us for the Warner Robins Police Department Glow Run 2026! This event will be held at Freedom Field (111 Bear Country Blvd. Warner Robins, GA 31088) on Saturday, October 17, 2026. The event will open at 6:00 pm and the 5K will begin at 8:00 pm.
