PLEASE BE AWARE -- Runners signing up between now and the race will not receive any promotional bags!  The 5K was a hit last year and we’re glad to bring it back to our annual Blueberry Festival in Montrose, PA! Come on out on Saturday, August 2nd for our Second Annual 5K and Fun Run. Work up an appetite on the race course, and then have some blueberry pancakes at our breakfast tent! We have family friendly events happening all day on the Village Green in Montrose, PA. Welcome to our fifth annual Worth the Weight Race set to take place Saturday, August 8th in Old Westmont. For 6 weeks, young athletes across Rhode Island and Massachusetts have been swimming, biking, and running toward this one incredible goal!  This finale event brings together participants from Race4Chase programs across both states to celebrate their hard work, determination, and confidence gained throughout the summer. It’s more than a race, it’s a powerful celebration of youth achievement, healthy living, and community support. While this event is exclusively for Race4Chase participants and not open to public registration, we need enthusiastic volunteers to help make it a safe, smooth, and unforgettable experience for every child crossing that finish line.  All race participants will receive a complimentary USA Triathlon Youth annual membership. No code needed this year, as we will upload all participants to USAT after the finale.

An annual 5K run/walk and kids 1 mile race on the streets of Chelsea, NY located in the town of Wappingers  ( NOT the Chelsea in NYC) to benefit the Chelsea Fire Company, and The Robert VanTassel “Live the Dash” scholarship. Given to 2 Beacon High School Seniors, who show sportsmanship, integrity, and 100% commitment to his/her running goals. In 2023, we changed the name of the race to The Robert Van Tassel Live the Dash 5k. Bobby was the race coordinator from the beginning. He ran the race every year and gave the medals out at the end. He was the Fire District Commissioner, past chief, and held every office over the 40 years he served CFD. He passed on October 20, 2022. Running was his passion. He ran until his very last breath. We continue this race in his honor. “LIVE THE DASH”!!                  The race starts and ends at the fire station on Liberty St. and takes you along the Hudson River. The 2025 Kinzua Bridge Challenge 10K, 5K,1 Mile, and 2 Mile Walk will be a staggered start beginning at 9:00 am on Sunday, August 11th. The races start at the Center Street Trailhead on the Mt Jewett to Kinzua Bridge Rails to Trails. The course is out and back for each race. The proceeds benefit the Swedish Festival Association who partner with the Mount Jewett Community to host one of the largest festival in the county.  The Mount Jewett Swedish Festival Association will allocate the proceeds of the race to benefit the Penn York Oil and Gas Scholarship held at the University of Pittsburgh the Bradford Campus. This scholarship supports students in the Energy Science majors. Proceeds exceeding the scholarship donation will be distributed for the purpose of promoting economic development, education, innovation and community revitalization in and around the Mount Jewett area. Welcome to the 8th Annual Jacob Hershberger Memorial Run! This event will help raise funds to finance the Jacob Hershberger Memorial Scholarships that will be awarded each year to two Bedford High School Students and to help those in the community in financial need after the death of a young one. The race date is Sunday, August 10th.  Registration begins at 9:00 am and the Race will begin at 10:00 am. This will be a walking and running event.  Awards are given to the top 3 female and top 3 male runners in each age group and the top 3 male and top 3 female walkers overall for both courses. Maine Endurance Sports Alliance (MESA) a 501(c)3 nonprofit is proud to continue the great running history established by The Great Waterville Marathon & Half with the introduction of the WATERVILLE MARATHON – Full/Half/10K/5K – Running Festival on Sunday August 9, 2026 starting at 7:00 am at Thomas College in Waterville Maine allowing more participants of all abilities to cross the finish line. Neighbors Helping Neighbors is a volunteer-run, nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting Westminster residents facing hardship due to unforeseen challenges. The Westminster Benefit Fund is made possible entirely through the generosity of local families, businesses, and community groups. Each year, the Runners Helping Neighbors 5K Run/Walk plays a key role in our annual NHN Town Benefit Day—a day filled with fun, connection, and community spirit. This annual community open water swim event typically attracts an average of 200 swimmers split between three different distances. The temperature of the water is typically about 66 degrees F. The swim takes place in a calm, protected cove, and is well supported with at least a dozen volunteers in kayaks/paddleboarders. Cozy unisex t-shirts will be guaranteed for all participants pre-registered by August 1st. Latex swim caps will be provided for all swimmers. If you are allergic to latex, please feel free to bring your own.

STOMP OUT THE STIGMA is all about raising awareness of mental wellness and eliminating the stigma surrounding mental illness.  Join us in the fastest, flat 5k route in the area or a nice 1 mile race around Waughop Lake.  Parking will be easy at the Pierce College Fort Steilacoom campus with a short walk down a trail to Fort Steilacoom Park.  The 5k race starts by the lake where you will fly through a flat course at Fort Steilacoom Park and finish back at the entrance of the lake. The 1mile race starts at the entrance of Waughop Lake and takes you on a scenic lap around the lake.  Both routes are mostly paved with a short area that is dirt/gravel. This 5k race is chip timed.  The entry includes a race shirt if you register by 7/21.  Finishing medals will be given to the first 200 finishers.  Don't miss the chance to be a part of this great event! Welcome to the 8th Annual Jacob Hershberger Memorial Run! This event will help raise funds to finance the Jacob Hershberger Memorial Scholarships that will be awarded each year to two Bedford High School Students and to help those in the community in financial need after the death of a young one. The race date is Sunday, August 10th.  Registration begins at 9:00 am and the Race will begin at 10:00 am. This will be a walking and running event.  Awards are given to the top 3 female and top 3 male runners in each age group and the top 3 male and top 3 female walkers overall for both courses. The age groups are as follows: 12 and under13-1920-2930-3940-4950-5960 and over. Top overal male and female will receive $100 each.  Note: You must walk if you are signed up for the walk. We have some competitive walkers in the race and it wouldn’t be fair to those walking.
