Dragon’s Den half Marathon is a challenging race for all levels. There are three events: Half-Marathon, 10k and 5k. All registrants receive a finishers medal, a turkey leg, refreshments, and amazing race swag plus much more. The race course is held inside San Antonio at Pearsall Park and will have rejuvenation stations every mile with ice cold water, ice cold electrolytes and ice cold towels. All finishers of the half-Marathon will receive a finishers t-shirt. All the races will have age group award tiles. First 100 Register will get a singlet, all others will receive a running short sleeve. Looking forward to having you here at one of San Antonio’s best Half-Marathon races. The Cove House Classic, featuring the Hill Country 100K, is one of the major fund raisers for our shelter and free clinic. All proceeds will go to support our efforts to provide quality housing and medical care to those in need. We have Several routes from 26-63 miles. Welcome to the 8th Annual Jacob Hershberger Memorial Run! This event will help raise funds to finance the Jacob Hershberger Memorial Scholarships that will be awarded each year to two Bedford High School Students and to help those in the community in financial need after the death of a young one. The race date is Sunday, August 10th.  Registration begins at 9:00 am and the Race will begin at 10:00 am. This will be a walking and running event.  Awards are given to the top 3 female and top 3 male runners in each age group and the top 3 male and top 3 female walkers overall for both courses. This race is designed to raise funds for the annual Recovery Celebration here in Meadville, PA in September, increasing drug overdose awareness (which Drug Overdose Awareness Day is August 31st), and recovery activities brought to you by our agency, the CCDAEC. The 2025 Kinzua Bridge Challenge 10K, 5K,1 Mile, and 2 Mile Walk will be a staggered start beginning at 9:00 am on Sunday, August 11th. The races start at the Center Street Trailhead on the Mt Jewett to Kinzua Bridge Rails to Trails. The course is out and back for each race. The proceeds benefit the Swedish Festival Association who partner with the Mount Jewett Community to host one of the largest festival in the county.  The Mount Jewett Swedish Festival Association will allocate the proceeds of the race to benefit the Penn York Oil and Gas Scholarship held at the University of Pittsburgh the Bradford Campus. This scholarship supports students in the Energy Science majors. STOMP OUT THE STIGMA is all about raising awareness of mental wellness and eliminating the stigma surrounding mental illness.  Join us in the fastest, flat 5k route in the area or a nice 1 mile race around Waughop Lake.  Parking will be easy at the Pierce College Fort Steilacoom campus with a short walk down a trail to Fort Steilacoom Park.  The 5k race starts by the lake where you will fly through a flat course at Fort Steilacoom Park and finish back at the entrance of the lake. The 1mile race starts at the entrance of Waughop Lake and takes you on a scenic lap around the lake.  Both routes are mostly paved with a short area that is dirt/gravel. This 5k race is chip timed.  The entry includes a race shirt if you register by 7/21.  Finishing medals will be given to the first 200 finishers.  Don't miss the chance to be a part of this great event! Don’t let your race shoes collect dust this summer. Come out and better your 5k and brunch game with the Sunrise Social Club at the River Region Runners sponsored (R3) Wildcat Summer Cup in downtown MGM. Every second Sunday this summer at 7AM we’ll host a 5k at a unique location. Come for the race, stay for the BYOB potluck brunch. One payment of $20 buys you a bib for the entire series. York Parks & Recreation are happy to announce the 2026 Annual York Days 5k Road Race in York, Maine!  The fourth race in the Seacoast Road Race Series, this 5K is part of the Annual York Days Celebrations. This race benefits youth programming throughout York. Registration opens on February 1st, 2026, at 8:00am. Those who register by June 1st will be guaranteed a free race shirt in their requested size. Beyond June 1st, shirts will be given upon availability. Participants may pick up their race shirt and bib on race day, Sunday, August 9th. The race begins at 8am sharp and day-of bib and shirt pick up opens at 7:00am.THERE WILL BE AN EARLY BIB PICK UP OPPORTUNITY ON AUGUST 8TH. We will be gathering at Zorinsky Lake Park in Omeha, NE. When you cross the finish line, your reward is waiting: a delicious, ice-cold popsicle to help you chill out and celebrate your accomplishment. Every finisher will also receive a custom Popsicle-themed finisher medal—bright, bold, and worthy of showing off. Awards will be presented in all three distances to the top three male and female finishers in standard five-year age groups, beginning with 10 & Under. Green Whales, Inc. and Greenheads Swimming, along with the Brigantine Beach Patrol, bring you the 12th Annual Brigantine Open Water Swim for ages 7 and over. This year's events are: 400M: Ages 7 - 142K: Ages 11 & Over5K: Ages 12 & Over This is an open water swim; the current and wave conditions are unpredictable.  Please use good judgment if you are uncertain about swimming in rough water. The course is set; however, the race committee reserves the right to change the direction of each event due to water conditions. The details of each event with landmarks are provided in the race map(s). Any questions about the course will be addressed at the pre-race meeting by the Race Referee.

Race Start Time and Location: Our 18th Annual Rocco Laurie Memorial Staten Island Triathlon/Duathlon on 8/9/26 is one of our biggest events this season, last year bringing near 400 competitors! The race is popular not only because of an expertly designed closed course, but is also an event dedicated to honoring Rocco Laurie, a Vietnam veteran and NYPD officer, who lost his life while serving his fellow New Yorkers in 1972. Larry Ambrosino, chair of the Rocco Laurie Scholarship Fund, came up with the idea for a race in Staten Island to remember his Mariners Harbor roots and friend. This is also a great race for those training for longer events later in the year, such as Jones Beach Ironman 70.3 on 9/26. The Staten Island Triathlon is a perfect race to condition yourself for an event like a Half Ironman.  Thanks to NYPD, this race has a completely closed off bike course on Father Capodanno Blvd. The water and current condition of Midland Beach has always been calmer than some of our othe

The 5th annual MKTKD 5K event will be held Sunday August 10th at Webster park.  Our last 4 #5KTKD events have raised over $20,000 for The Taekwondo Fund! FIRE CHIEF DARIN J. SABINE Newington Fire Chief Darin Sabine was born on August 4, 1984 in Newington, NH and his lastalarm was on September 7, 2019 after a 2-year battle with colon cancer. Chief Sabine was diagnosed in early 2017 with Stage 4 colon cancer. He had spent much of hisshort time here on earth either with family or at the fire station. He was dedicated to his family andbrotherhood. He fought hard to spend as much time as he could with his wife and 2 little girls. Our hope with this run is that we will keep Chief Sabine’s memory alive and raise funds to support first responders and their families who have been affected by cancer or other life-threatening illnesses or injuries.  The race length of 3.3 miles is in honor of Newington Fire Department 33.
