The 2026 Louisiana Watermelon Festival 5k event offers a great challenge to local runners and walkers. This course is a fast first mile downhill followed by what we like to affectionately call Watermelon Mountain at mile 2. This year, proceeds from the event will go to Willpower Foundation, Inc. This is a non-profit organization made up of volunteers in Northeast Louisiana that host events to race money for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Welcome back for round 2!  This will be a family fun run/walk to benefit local teachers, students, and schools for the upcoming school year. All proceeds will go to the Kokomo Education Foundation.  We would love to see as many kids, teachers, coaches and parents come out to Jackson Morrow on July 25th, 2026 at 8 am to support our hardworking community as they race into the 2026-2027 school year.  We will also have a table setup for school supply drop off if anyone would like to donate any school supplies.  We encourage everyone to wear their school colors or favorite school of their choice.  All finishers will receive a finisher medal.  You will also have the option to purchase a shirt at an additional cost as long as it is done by the specified date.  There may be extras on race day, but it will be first come first serve and while supplies last.  There will be awards for 1st place Adult Male and Female Runner. 1st place Adult Male and Female Walker and lastly 1st place under 18

The Miles For Jae 5K was created to honor the life and memory of Jae and to turn love and remembrance into something that brings our community together. Nordic fest is an annual 3-day summer festival held in Decorah, Iowa that celebrates community and the area’s Scandinavian heritage.  Started in 1967, Nordic fest is organized by a board of volunteers and offers food, activities and entertainment for the whole family.  The Elveløpet is held on the Saturday morning of Nordic Fest weekend.  Hailed as Decorah’s “river run” race course along the Upper Iowa river and surrounding area.  This family fun event highlights the natural beauty that Decorah has to offer.

This is the 19th year for the United Way of McPherson County Triathlon, held at McPherson Water Park and Lakeside Park in McPherson, Kansas.  Nicknamed by one racer as "The Fastest Short Course in Kansas," the United Way Triathlon starts with a 200-meter swim, followed by a 7-mile bike and finishing with a 2-mile run.   There is also a Junior Triathlon for youth with a 100-meter swim, 1 mile bike, and 1-mile run.    Registration opens at 6:30 a.m. Saturday, July 26th, 2026.

The Rhythm of the Heart 5K Run & Walk is a brand-new event kicking off the City of Loves Park’s 4th annual Rhythm of the Heart Music Festival. This community-focused race invites runners and walkers of all ages to experience the roots of Loves Park as the course winds through some of the city’s original neighborhoods, the Field of Honor, and other special areas. Along the way, participants will pass beautiful Loves Park murals and even catch a glimpse of the Rock River. What makes this race truly special is its purpose. Join us and beat the heat this summer at our Midnight Run 5K/10K for Special Olympics. This event is presented by the Leawood Police Department, a participating agency in the Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics Kansas, and features a fast course through the streets of Leawood. Your participation will help raise money for Special Olympics and finishers in both the 5K and 10K Run/Walk will receive a custom finishers medal! Due to limitations on road closures, the 10K is a run only event with a one hour and 15 minute time limit.  Please don't choose the 10K if you are not able to meet the 10K limit as the roads will be reopened.

The Chesapeake Bay Paddle benefits the Chesapeake Conservancy’s efforts to designate the Chesapeake Bay as a National Park, WaterKeepers Chesapeake to help keep the waters and rivers of the Bay healthy and Oyster Recovery Partnership’s work to plant 10 billion oysters in the Bay. 100% of the race registration amount is tax deductible as a charitable donation. The Milbridge Days 5K and Fun Run return for the annual Milbridge Days Celebration in beautiful Downeast Maine. This 3.1-mile wheel-measured course starts on the corner of Fickett's Point Road and Bay View Road. It is an out-and-back trip down Fickett's Point Road overlooking Narraguagas Bay. The Kid's Fun Run is one mile—1/2 mile up Fickett’s Point Road and back. The annual Twisted Cider 5K & 12k run and walk is coming to the City of University Place! How ‘bout them apples! We hope you’ll join us for the Twisted Cider 5K & 12K event! Runners and walkers will start and finish from the Curran Apple Orchard Park meandering around the quiet neighborhoods of University Place with glimpses of the Tacoma Narrows Bridge and the Puget Sound. With gentle rolling hills along with flat and fast sections, you’re going to enjoy these courses.  Bring the whole family! The Kids 1K is a fun way to get the kids (12 and under) to participate! Parents can run with their kids and do not have to register for this distance. The course will be an out-and-back along Sound View Drive. The Kaiser Permanente Seafair Torchlight Run is back again, returning on Saturday, July 26, 2026. Join us on the bike trails in Sherando Park for another extraordinary summer of trail racing.  This year we will be offering a 5K, 10K and 50K.    All three races will test your skill and ability but leave you wanting to do it again.  This year each participant will receive a T-shirt for each race. Each year our races benefit local charities or groups.  This year the 5K will be a benefit for the Sherando Girls Soccer team.  The 10K and 50K will again benefit the Blue Ridge Wildlife Center.   The 5K will start from the concession stand on the softball side of the the park (North side of 277).  On Google maps you can punch it in as 167 Line Drive, Stephens City VA 22655.    The 10K and 50K race will start and end at the Sherando Park Bike Park / Outdoor Fitness Gym parking lot.  On Google Maps you can punch it in as 525 Line Drive, Stephens City, VA, and it will get you there.  It is a large parking area and has bathroom facilities.  Check-in for the race will begin at 0700 and the race

The Lake Lucerne Advancement Association Community Support Committee’s Third Annual 5K-ish Run/Walk will be on Saturday, July 26, 2025.  This year's charity, Crandon Area Rescue, is a non-profit squad that serves approximately 435 square miles, including Argonne, Crandon, Hiles, Lincoln, Nashville townships, and the City of Crandon. With four ambulances and around 20 active responders, they provide essential emergency care when needed. There is no registration fee, however a suggested donation amount of $35 requested per racer.  If you would prefer to donate a different amount, you are welcome to do so. ~~~~~ Over the past three years, this event has raised over $10,500 in direct donations from the race! In addition, we know that community and individual contributions inspired by this event have addedmore than $5,000 in extra donations to Crandon Area Rescue. That’s a huge impact! What Is OUTLAST? OUTLAST is a 6-hour trail endurance challenge where runners complete a 5K every hour, on the hour. Each lap must be finished within the hour to stay in the event. If you finish early, you rest until the next round. Miss a lap, and you’re out. Complete all six rounds, and you OUTLAST. This isn't just about speed — it's about pacing, discipline, and mental grit. Whether you're trying to survive all six or win your division, the challenge is the same: show up each hour, push your limits, and stay in it. Each course is trail-based, with natural terrain, elevation, and unpredictable conditions. 🎉 2026 will mark the 20th Anniversary of the Burning River Endurance Runs & Relay – an exciting 100M, 50M, and Marathon solo run and 100M relay in Northeast Ohio. The race travels through several of the region's most scenic areas, including the Cuyahoga Valley National Park and the Summit Metro Parks.

The Kevin Peck Memorial Run was established in honor of Kevin Peck, a 1998 graduate of Northwest High School who was tragically killed in December of 2011.  Kevin was a state qualifying track and cross country runner.  His untimely death was a tragedy to all who knew him.  In his memory, the Kevin Peck Perseverance Award Scholarship was created. Kevin often lamented that the hardest step of running was the first.  He held the belief that hard work would pay off, and once he got going, eventually he would reach his goal if he kept working. The Kevin Peck Perseverance Award is presented to a Northwest High School Cross Country or Distance Track senior athlete whose performance dramatically improved from their first season running through their last.  This does not necessarily mean the fastest runner or MVP.  It is the athlete who reflects the determination, focus and drive that Kevin had to persevere, and become the outstanding runner that he was.  To help support this award and the Nort
