Join the Youngstown Air Reserve Base Community Council for the 9th annual "5K on the Runway" taking place on Saturday, July 11th, 2026, at 8:00am. Miles for Migraine will host its 7th annual 2-mile Walk, 5K Run and Relax Cleveland Event at North Chagrin Reservation. This event is a fundraiser for Migraine & Headache Awareness, Treatment & Research. THE RIGHTEOUS RICHLAND SPRINT TRIATHLON IS JULY 11, 2026 Format: 1/2 mile swim; 12 mile mountain bike; 3 mile run Course Description: The race starts with a brisk 1/2 mile swim in the Columbia River along the length of Howard Amon Park. From the park we bike (MOUNTAIN BIKES, ONLY) a total of 12 miles via roads and bike paths to the Chamna Nature Preserve, where we will find plenty of off-road and single track riding. Welcome to the third annual Milwaukie Mile! Our goal is to provide a safe and fast course for all members of the community to race their pace and set a new personal best in the mile! The course runs gently downhill along the Trolley Trail, starting at the Park Avenue Max Station and finishing in Milwaukie Bay Park. The race will be held the morning of Saturday July 11th, 2026. The race is open to runners, walkers, and families with strollers. Dogs are not allowed to accompany runners, walkers, or volunteers. Race Starts at 7:30 AM Mary Park, New Richmond, WI  5K and 10K run/walk on an out and back course in New Richmond, WI. This is a chip timed event by MTEC events. Results will be immediately available at MTECRESULTS.COM. The race will start and finish in Mary Park. All of the runners will start and finish in the same location. The course will be marked with orange cones, and we ask that you stay to the left of the cones on the way out and to the right on the way back. There will be orange paint on the road marking turns. The 5K is out and back to Oak Ridge (147th) and the 10K course goes out and loops around Fox Run and then heads back to Mary Park. There will be 2 water stops for the 10K and 1 water stop for the 5K. There will be water and refreshments and snacks at the finish line. Clearly marked course with corner marshalls and police at major intersections. This event is born from years of competing in meets across the country and inspired by the strong tradition of distance-focused track events right here in Wisconsin. Our goal is simple (and slightly obsessive): to create a meet centered around the mile. Athletes of all ages and abilities are welcome, from K–12 runners to collegiates, pros, and masters. Events will range from a fun 400 meters for our youngest competitors to the featured one-mile race, covering just over four laps around Hatchet Field on a recently renovated track surface inside a completely updated stadium. Join Us for a Scenic Adventure & Community Wellness Race! Let’s create healthier lifestyles together by sharing the amazing resources around us—and giving back to our community!  On Saturday, July 11th, come explore the beautiful Oconto Falls area with a fun, multi-sport challenge. Registration, transitions, and party afterwards will be held at the West Side Beach of Oconto Falls (N. Flatley Rd) Your race journey begins on the Oconto River paddling upstream about half a mile around a buoy before returning to the starting site. Then, hop on your bike to cruise through scenic, rolling country roads with some exciting hills. Finally, lace up for a 5K walk or run along a mix of trail and road, finishing back at the site. TRANSITIONS ARE ALL AT THE WEST SIDE BEACH Have your own equipment? Please bring it and use it! If not, no worries— LIMITED equipment will be available to rent/reserve. I’m working with local partners to secure bike and kayak rentals to make sure everyone can join in.

The race was started in 2011 by a local firefighter, Andy Nestor to provide free athletic shoes to local students in need.  The success of the program was overwhelming.  River City Runners and Walkers Club coordinate with local school nurses to identify children in need of quality athletic shoes but financially unable to get the shoes. The program is 100% free. Our mission is to motivate children to get outside and move, maybe join a sports team or just run and play.  We hope to change the image of West Virginia from an unhealthy, sedentary lifestyle to an active, healthy culture starting with our future - the children of WV and surrounding areas.  To date RCRW have given out hundreds of athletic shoes since 2011.  Help us continue this amazing program by supporting the K4K night race this year! This is our 5th annual half marathon fundraiser. Proceeds from this race will be donated to the University of Michigan CS Mott Children's Hospital in honor of our late son, Lennox Lapsley. For 2026, we will specifically be donating to U of M's research project related to ECMO.

Flat and fast scenic course located on the paved section of the Ernst Trail with a small portion on Mercer Pike Road. Ernst Trail follows an old rail line traversing the lush bottom lands of French Creek valley with varied environments of meadow and marsh, hardwood stands and hemlock thickets. Water provided on the course, water and snacks at the finish, Awards ceremony immediately following the race. Start Times 15k: 7:30 AM 5k: 7:35 AM Awards  Top 3 male/female finishers in 15k and 5k. First place finisher in each age group: 18 and under; 19-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50-59; 60-69; 70 and up. Parking Available at Ernst Conservation Seeds. Benefiting the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society! CATHY'S STORY Cathy's journey with Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma began in Feb 1996, six years before her official diagnosis. In1996, she raised $3200 for LLS, possibly sensing her future battle. In Nov 2011, she developed symptoms andunderwent treatment at Cleveland Clinic from 2012 to 2013, managing chemo and hair loss. She nevercomplained and continued to work full time and teaching reading to underprivileged children one day a weekduring her scheduled lunch. And she continued to run at least 20 to 30 miles per week. In Dec 2013, Cathy opted for an aggressive bone cell transplant. Despite the three-week sterile procedure, sheremained active, walking the halls, spreading smiles, and resumed work and her normal physical activities, whichincluded running, hiking, water aerobics, and yoga,post-release. 2014 brought ups and downs. Although she did not receive any further chemo, she required periodic scans andremained on medication for h
