Welcome back to the Makin' Hay 10K & 5K!  We can't wait to have you claim bragging rights after conquering one of these challenging but scenic courses on Saturday, April 18, 2026. The scenic and rolling 10K and 5k courses will take you on a journey through some of the prettiest farmland in Frederick County.  Spring will be ushering forth as you run past numerous farms; along beautiful Catoctin Creek on a gravel road, and across two, historic one-lane wooden deck bridges spanning Catoctin Creek. 5-year age group awards!!! Since the inception of South Mountain Baptist Camp in 1957 in the South Mountains of North Carolina, the goal was to provide an environment that fosters spiritual growth through disconnecting from the world so as to connect with God. The 2026 Catamount Climb Half Marathon and 5K will be hosted on the campus of Western Carolina University in Cullowhee, NC along the banks of the Tuckasegee River. The 5K course is completely on campus and navigates through the heart of campus with moderate elevation change. The half marathon course starts on campus, and then heads off campus for a few miles before returning back to campus for the finish line. The Catamount Climb Half Marathon and 5K (formerly known as Valley of the Lilies) is hosted by the Western Carolina University School of Health Sciences and the Department of Campus Recreation & Wellness. This is the 15th Isaiah 40:31 Run hosted by the Upper School Student Council to raise funds for our gift to the school. In past years, we have been able to purchase a permanently mounted sound system for our gym, over 300 chairs and the racks for storing them, a portable stage, and a portable sound system for our Praise and Worship Team. This year, we would like to put our profits towards the purchase of a digital sign that would be located on our property next to Highway 421. All runners who enter either the certified 5K race or the 1-Mile Color Run will receive a t-shirt. Join East Carolina University’s Student National Dental Association for the Annual Oral Cancer 5K Run/Walk on Saturday, May 30, 2026, starting at 9:00 AM. This event is dedicated to raising funds for Beau’s Buddies Cancer Patient Care Fund, which helps support patients by offsetting cancer-related dental expenses. Through this race, we aim to make a meaningful impact while also increasing awareness about oral cancer and the importance of early detection. We are proud to continue this annual tradition of bringing the community together to support an important cause. The Merrimac Miracle Organization is pleased to host the 6th Annual London OH Marathon as a fundraiser for Merri-Mac Park. We are raising funds to further improve the park by adding play equipment, recreational paths, sports fields, etc. Format: The full and half marathon race events will start promptly at 7 am and the 5K at 7:15 am. The course will remain open for 5 hours after the last competitor starts. Course: The start and finish will be located at Merri-Mac Park. All course maps can be viewed here. The flat, tree-lined scenic rails will take you toward Darby Creek Metro Park. The full marathon repeats the course twice. Did we mention this race is flat? It is crazy flat! The 11th annual Golden Driller Marathon will be held on April 18, 2026. The '89er 5K is hosted by the cadets in the '89er Battalion, Guthrie High School JROTC. The Guthrie JROTC program is the first JROTC program in the State of Oklahoma, dating back to 1935. As a 5K, we encourage competitive runners, recreational runners, and walkers; walk your dog, push a stroller, or simply enjoy the fellowship of your friends and neighbors. Join us for the 38th annual Salmon Run which returns to Bend, Oregon on April 18, 2026. Distances include the HALF MARATHON (13.1 miles), 10K, and 5K races. The fourth annual Rock the Nock Run Fest is set for Saturday, April 18th, 2026, at Nockamixon State Park in Quakertown, Pennsylvania.  All levels of runners are going to sprint toward the chance to race at this event because it is the only running event permitted in Nockamixon State Park.  Runners will get to choose from 5K, 10K and 13.1 mile distances while running on the scenic paved trail paths and roads inside the park.  Competitively race on this exquisite closed course, or run with your friends and enjoy the beautiful lake views, the choice is yours! The Yuengling Light Lager Jogger 5k started in 2013 and is the only race to start and finish at America's oldest brewery!  D.G. Yuengling & Son, Inc., a family-run company since 1829 is based in Pottsville, PA and recently celebrated 185 years of continuous operation.  The 14th annual Yuengling Light Lager Jogger 5k starts and finishes at America's oldest brewery in Pottsville, PA. All participants will receive a Yuengling Light Lager Jogger branded pint glass, an official race t-shirt, two free Yuengling Light Lagers (21+), free brewery tours (prior to race day), and admission to the post-race party. The Greenville (SC) Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated proudly presents the Walk It Owt 5K Run/Walk, a community-centered event supporting heart health awareness. The United Community Reedy River Run 10K is one of the oldest road races in the south and will be celebrating its 48th running on April 18, 2026.  With the start on Greenville's famous Main Street, you will take a tour of downtown and beautiful Cleveland, Cancer Survivors and Falls Parks.  The 10K course crosses the namesake Reedy River six times and both the 10K and 5K races will have a downhill finish on Falls Drive near the United Community headquarters.  The 10K race is the 2026 Road Runners Club of America South Carolina State Championship and  was previously the 2017 and 2021 RRCA South Carolina State 10K Championship and the 2019 RRCA Southern Region 10K Championship.  There is also a 5K run which starts on S. Main St and uses the same finish line as the 10K on Falls Street.   Our 10K will be limited to 1,500 participants and the 5K to 1000 participants.
