The Lake T Sprint Series has been the first race for many Iron Distance Triathletes. In its 25th year, this race continues to be the stepping stone for so many triathletes to get to the next level. Racks are first come, first serve, waves are male/female, and there is a relay division as well.  The 600 yard lake swim is followed by a 2 loop bike course with rolling hills. The 5K run is a beautiful course around the lake which has a few small inclines and downhill the last mile. Kicking off at 8:00 p.m. on Friday, June 19, the Firefly 3K offers a fun fitness challenge and a chance to enjoy stunning sunset views at The Morton Arboretum. The Firefly 3K course will follow the main paved road on the Arboretum's East Side, moving through the Arboretum’s tree and plant collections, and down Frost Hill. The Scotland Juneteenth 5K will traverse the historic Black neighborhood of Scotland, including the 100-year-old Scotland AME Zion Church on 7 Locks Road in Potomac. The event will benefit the rebuilding of the church, which was flooded in 2019, and needs to be rebuilt. 39th Annual The ConcreteMan Triathlon is the oldest Triathlon in Missouri. Started in 1982, the ConcreteMan became a staple multisport event in Missouri for years. The event when through many iterations over the years and included the sprint distance, olympic(ish), and at one point an open water swim. Cincinnati is proud to be one of the select few cities to host the 2026 National Opal’s Walk for Freedom, a Juneteenth observance honoring the end of slavery in the United States and the ongoing pursuit of inclusive freedom. Opal’s Walk for Freedom, organized by the Texas-based non-profit Unity Unlimited, Inc., is led by Dr. Opal Lee, widely known as the “Grandmother of Juneteenth.” On June 19, participants in host cities across the country will walk 2.5 miles simultaneously, symbolizing the approximately 2.5 years between the signing of the Emancipation Proclamation in 1863 and the day enslaved African Americans in Galveston, Texas, learned they were free in 1865. The walk is supported by national and local partners, including Start 2 Finish Event Management, Detroit Choice Events, JARK 1 Entertainment, and the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center. Run & Walk with Pride (RWWP) is an annual event presented by Seattle Frontrunners, from which all net proceeds are donated to Peer Seattle and Seattle Pride. The 2026 event features 4K and 8K races in Seward Park, as well as a virtual option. Registration is $40 (registrants 0-17 years old can register for $20). Note that registrations are non-transferrable.            Seattle Frontrunners is committed to ensuring this event is accessible to everyone. The Sunset Mile is a night of paced 1 mile races. Set your goal time, meet us at the track, and we'll supply pacers to help you chase that goal.
