Annual MI Hot Dog Mile

The Hot Dog Mile is an annual event celebrating hot dogs and regular dogs, dreamed up by the runners of Eastern Market Brewing Run Club. Participants eat four dogs and run four 1/4 mile laps- it's as simple as that! All proceeds after race costs are donated to a local Detroit Dog Rescue! This race will start and finish on Kenosia Avenue. Runners will begin the race heading northbound until they reach Christopher Columbus Avenue. From there, runners will continue around the cul-de-sac and head back towards the start/finish line. The course is flat and will have a hydration table set up around the halfway point. There will be a post race party and awards at Elicit Brewing following the race.  Every dollar raised from this race will go toward supporting an officer’s child’s higher education fund. At the end of the event, a recipient will be randomly chosen by an independent third party. I will be holding the fourth annual, Dashing for Donuts 5K and kids 1 mile fun run on June 7th! We will be running the same course as last year. It will be held on the El Dorado Trail from the new bridge at Missouri Flat Road. It is an out and back race. Once you're finished, you get a donut and a medal. The 5K race will happen first and then we will have the kids 1 mile race.   All proceeds from the race will go to the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition, (NOCC) -Team Teal. I am a 16 year survivor of ovarian cancer and a team member of NOCC - Team Teal. The Menlo Park Kids Triathlon (“MPKT”) is a triathlon specifically for kids ages from 4 to 17 years old. A triathlon is a race that consists of a combination of three sports: swimming, cycling, and running. The kids start the race with swimming at the Burgess Pool in waves (triathlon speak for groups) of 20 to 25  kids. From the swim, they run to the transition area to put on their helmets, shoes, and anything else they need. They then mount their bikes and head out to the bike course. When the kids are done with the bike, they head back to transition to put their bike away, and head to run round Burgess Park. They finish the race in the park by crossing through the finishing chute!

Come join us and support our Military in our 18th Annual WW Military Miles 5K, 10K, and Half Marathon in Keller Texas. It starts and finishes in front of Keller City Hall Building.  The event benefits two charities: Fisher House Foundation and  WWP.  The “Happenings” begin at 6:45am with the Half Marathon corral followed by the 10K and then the 5K. Half Marathon need to be lined up by 6:30am, 10K by 6:45am,  and 5K 7:00am. The different starting times allow us to keep you safe and spread out during the race. Camp Agape Northwest creates a place for kids with cancer to feel joy, siblings a chance to feel special and parents a time to be together. We believe that when a child has cancer, the entire family is affected and in need of care and healing. We do this through creating a community of Agape - the purest form of love.
