The Watsontown JesVic 5K was started in 2007 by Shannon (Hoffman) Pyles and Suzie (Wade) Watts to honor two community women, Jessica Wade and Vicki Hitesman, who both passed away from cancer. Jessica was a blue-eyed, athletic 20-year-old, a graduate of Warrior Run High School, who pursued a college degree. Among her many goals was to run a marathon someday. The other—a former nurse who touched the lives of the patients and their families from her early days at Williamsport Hospital and Kramm’s Nursing Home. She was a survivor of Hodgkin’s disease. Her youngest son played baseball, her oldest ran cross country at Warrior Run. Vicki and her husband (who is also a runner) supported the cross-country team, and all their sons’ endeavors.Both had touched the lives of those in their community and in their workplace. The 48th Annual Classic Formerly the White River 4 Mile Classic and HealthSouth 4 Mile Classic, this race is now named for Andy Buschmann, the local running man seen everywhere about town trotting out the miles in his steady gait. He and his buddy Jack Heston ran every version of the race since its founding in 1978 until COVID took Andy from us in 2021. The AB4MC course is USATF certified. The 2026 Thorp Fun Run 5K, 10K, Kids 1/2 Mile and Kids 200 Yard Dash, is held during Thorp Dairy Days. Everyone is encouraged to participate, from first-timers to competitive runners. Join us for the first annual Emergency Rescue Squad 911 5K Run/Walk, 1 Mile Community Walk, and Children's Run on Saturday, June 6. All 5k participants will receive a medal to celebrate their achievement. The ERS is a volunteer organization that serves our community at times of great need. Let's show up and support our local hometown heroes. This event is being put on by the M&M Chamber of Commerce Community Leadership Academy Team #3 as a group service project. Our hope is to get this event started strong, so that the ERS can make it an annual event for years to come.

The Human Race is a community fundraising event for non-profit organizations in the Sioux Empire Area.  The Human Race will feature a 5K run and a 1 mile fun walk.   Each runner or walker will choose one of the nonprofits to benefit by receiving 75% of the registration fee.   No registration fees will be refunded.

This course is will start and finish at Holy Cross High School and will run through the Swinak development where there is little or no traffic. The 3rd Annual Booth Lake Memorial Swim will be held on June 6th, 2026.  Start the summer off with an open water swim in the clear waters of Booth Lake! Whether you are tackling your first open-water swim or aiming for a longer endurance challenge, this event provides a secure, well-supported environment for swimmers of all experience levels. Booth Lake is very well protected for the best swim conditions possible.   Water temperatures are expected to be between 72-76 degrees.   The swim includes options of a 0.6 mile, 1.2 miles and 5 kilometers (3.1 miles). Wetsuits and open water swim buoys are preferred and encouraged in all divisions.   Registration Includes:  Swim cap, lightweight hoodie w/logo, awards for each distance (age groups and overall), lunch voucher and timed results.   Memorial Day Celebrations - Taking part of this meaningful memorial swim allows you to honor someone special.  Each participant will complete their swim in remembrance of a loved one and receive a persona

Join us Saturday, June 6th, 2026, for the 3rd Annual Run to Remember #VitoStrong 5k run / 1-mile walk at the Crivitz Community Veterans Park – Shaffer Pavilion. This memorial event honors Vito E. Cinquepalmi and all veterans who have tragically lost the battle to PTSD through suicide. It’s an opportunity to raise awareness about PTSD and veteran suicide while supporting H.O.O.A.H. WI, an organization dedicated to preventing veteran suicide. Throughout the event, we will feature several organizations that support veterans in coping with and overcoming PTSD. Each organization will have a dedicated table with more information to share. The Wissahickon Trail Classic was established in 2006 to highlight Wissahickon Valley Park as one of the best trail running destinations on the East Coast. Back for its 17th year, the Wissahickon Trail Classic will engage hundreds of trail runners from the region, providing a unique race experience in Philadelphia’s premier park. Run for the Rec is a 5k race through McKnight Village neighborhood to benefit our community-owned park! Donations go toward our long-term goal of replacing the playground, as well as short-term projects like planting trees and installing a sandbox.  Participate for fun (untimed walk) or get competitive (5k running division, and 5k rucking division). Strollers and families are welcome. For those competing for time, 53 medals will be awarded across a variety of age groups and categories.   Stick around after the race for raffles, refreshments, live music and games for the kids!    WHERE: Sunday, June 7th at 9am in the McKnight Village Rec, located at the end of Henderson Road. Join us Sunday, June 7th, 2026, at 9:00 AM for the 6th Annual Stride for Pride 5K Run in partnership with Action Together NEPA.  We will be running on the beautiful Lackawanna River Heritage Trail on Olive Street in Scranton, PA. Can't make it on race day?  We will also be hosting a Virtual 5K.  Run any time on Friday or Saturday, and submit your results to our timing friends at Scranton Running Company.  The virtual race will be scored, and the results will be displayed by Monday, June 8th. Half marathon starting time is 8:30 am The 5k starting time is 9:00 am.   There are 3 water stops on the course for the half marathon. One at the 5k turn around ( 1.55 miles in ) , Half Marathon turn around 6.55 miles in , and once again at the 5k turn around 11.55 miles in.  There is bathrooms at the start/finish line area and one out on the course near mile 5. The Greenfield Glide runs through a hilly Schenley Park in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The race begins and ends at the turn-around on Overlook Drive by the Oval Park Shelter, after taking a running tour of the beautiful trails of Schenley Park through the majority of the course. Presented by the City of Pittsburgh Office of Special Events in partnership with the Greenfield Community Association.

Run for the Rec is a 5k race through McKnight Village neighborhood to benefit our community-owned park! Donations go toward our long-term goal of replacing the playground, as well as short-term projects like planting trees and installing a sandbox.  Participate for fun (untimed walk) or get competitive (5k running division, and 5k rucking division). Strollers and families are welcome. Wisconsin’s premier east coast marathon is coming back for the 14th edition in 2026!  This out-and-back course features amazing views of Lake Michigan’s shoreline as you run from Manitowoc to Two Rivers and back.  Come experience the Maritime Capital of Wisconsin! The Maritime Marathon is a race for runners by runners.  The course is flat, fast and a Boston Qualifier. Four events are offered: marathon,  half marathon, a four person relay and the 5 Nautical Mile Run.        Did you know that the Maritime Marathon is a race in which proceeds benefit local non-profit's?
