Indiana Dunes Trail Work Series

Chesterton, IN
Runner's for Public Lands (RPL) is excited to partner with Trailblazer Running and the National Park Service (NPS) to present the 2026 Indiana Dunes Trail Work Series.  This project brings our local community of runners together to learn about and care for the living landscapes we run with. Through repetitive, hands-on service events with an educational component, we can share ecological values and create strong connections that inspire runners to care for the people and places they love.  This Trail Work Series will include 4 independent trail work events, each with its own unique educational component. Based on the location of each trail work we have identified a relevant topic to learn about. The educational topics may include native vs. invasive flora, trail building/maintaining, and the importance of wetlands. We are working with the National Park Service to provide expert insights on these topics. Participants are not required to attend all four events but are encouraged to,

Peace for Pam 5K Run/Walk

Mount Laurel, NJ
Peace for Pam is a 5K run/walk created in loving memory of my mom, Pam, who I lost to suicide on May 5th, 2024. This race honors her life, her strength, and the fight she put up every single day. Growing up, my mom brought my little sister Sarah and I to Laurel Acres Park countless times. It was a place filled with laughter, family moments, and simple joys. Holding this race at Laurel Acres Park is a way to celebrate those memories and honor the place that meant so much to her and to us. All proceeds will be donated to support suicide prevention efforts, education, and advocacy. This race is held to:  • Remember the lives lost to suicide  • Acknowledge the millions who have experienced suicidal thoughts  • Support the individuals, families, and communities impacted by suicide  • Raise awareness and share messages of hope for those who are struggling Suicide is the 10th leading cause of death worldwide, and it is something that needs to be talked about more openly and compassionately. ChristianaCare Nurses Week 5K

Newark, DE
Please join us for the Nurses Week 5K! The profession of nursing is often one that is self-less, however, research tells us that when we take care of ourselves, we are better able to care for others. The idea for the 5K came about from the desire to promote wellness, comradery and joy amongst the Caregivers of ChristianaCare. In the spirit of Relationship Based Care, to make a commitment to our patients, our colleagues and ourselves.  Our hope is to inspire healthy lifestyles, work life balance and teamwork at a fun and exciting event for ChristianaCare caregivers and their families and friends. Whether you choose to run or walk, we are hopeful to make this year's Nurses Week 5K one of our best yet. This year's event is free, however we encourage donations.  All donations this year will be going to Nurses House - a nurse-managed, nonprofit organization helping nurses in need across the United States.
