When: April 24, 2026 | Meet up: 5:30pm, Race: 6:30pm, Finals: 7:30pm, End:10pm Where: Little Machine Join us for the fourth round of Hot Laps sponsored by Runners Roost and Citius RC powered by On. The rules stay the same this year, but the course takes steps elsewhere. Teams of four race to complete as many laps as they can in 45 minutes. The top five teams with the most laps progress to a final round where the fastest laps win. Relay teams are mixed gendered and created by racers before they sign up. 2026 Running Ragnar for the Kids

On April 24th and 25th, two brave teams of 8 people will take on Ragnar Trail Richmond at Pocahontas State Park. The teams will complete 122.4 miles in a relay-style race. These 16 individuals will push themselves physically and mentally to complete this challenge. These awesome runners are also raising money for a worthy cause - Kids On The Move, a program of Sports Backers. Kids On The Move supports youth running and fitness clubs in the Richmond, Virginia region, giving school aged kids an opportunity to train for and participate in a local race over the course of a fall and spring season. Kids On The Move provides resources for their coaches to foster a safe and fun environment to build up their young runners' physical endurance in order to be ready for race day. The Brazos VFD is a dedicated group of volunteers committed to protecting the lives, property and safety of the Brazos community.  We are proud to share that our new fire station is now built and operational, with our fire trucks officially housed in the new facility.  While the structure is complete, we are continuing to finish out essential areas including the bathrooms, offices and kitchen. Funds raised through events like the Crazy 8 Brazos VFD 5K, directly support these final improvements, as well as vital equipment and training, ensuring we can continue to serve our community with excellence for years to come.     We would love to host the race around our new fire station, (201 E Rusk St), though final plans have not yet been made.
