Rami's Heart Memorial A Walk To Remember

Belmar, NJ
In early 2021, Stacie Roman experienced a profound loss when her beloved father, John Stephen Westcott, passed away from COVID pneumonia on February 12th. Grief-stricken yet determined, Stacie sought a way to honor her father's legacy. By June of the same year, Stacie collaborated with Rami's Heart Corp to organize our inaugural event—a walk that combined both physical and virtual participation. This gathering was more than just a walk; it was a testament to love, resilience, and remembrance. Together, we supported Rami's Heart COVID-19 Memorial, a place where the memories of lost loved ones find solace. Thanks to Stacie's efforts, we raised some of the funds needed to establish the nation's first permanent national COVID-19 memorial. As another year passes, Stacie and the Rami's Heart team are preparing for our 6th Annual Walk to Remember. The main event will take place at the Belmar Beach Boardwalk in New Jersey, the original site of the memorial before it rel
