Named after the Roman goddess of fairness, AEquitas was established to support prosecutors in their individual and collective efforts to achieve justice in intimate partner violence, sexual violence, stalking, and human trafficking. Since 2009, AEquitas has been helping prosecutors and the multidisciplinary professionals with whom they partner keep victims safe and hold offenders accountable. The 2026 AEquitas Just Champions Relay Marathon is a totally virtual event, and all proceeds go to AEquitas' work to bring survivor-centered justice and safety to victims of intimate partner violence, sexual violence, stalking, and human trafficking. The ABAC Cross Country team, along with the Athletic Training Department, is hosting a glow walk/run for the campus and the community. The race is open to amateurs and competitors of all ages - whether this is your first 5k or your fiftieth. This is a judgement-free zone and we are honored that you decided to spend the evening with us! The first 200 registered finishers will receive a medal at the finish line. Join us for an unforgettably fun night! Starting at 7:30 PM, the gym will open for pre-race activities. The official race begins at 8:30 PM. Channel your inner equine: Race eight furlongs on a smooth, packed surface.  The fourth annual edition of the Bluegrass Mile provides runners of all abilities a unique opportunity to cover 5,280 feet on the dirt track at Red Mile. Whether you're looking for a competitive mile or a community walk, all are welcome to join us for an evening on the track. We will also be introducing a 5k for 2026! 5k participants will experience the iconic Red Mile race track, and then exit the track for a short out and back before returning to the track, and running a lap of the inner circuit too!The number of sign ups for the mile will determine how many heats we will seed runners into. 5th Annual Run for Recovery - Anderson   Hosted by The Bridge Center Recovery.   ABOUT:  The Bridge Center Recovery is a treatment facility for men seeking freedom from drug and alcohol addiction. Two-day adult sailing classes are offered most weekends from 9 am to 4 pm at Fiddler's Cove Marina. Classes are open to all eligible MWR patrons and sponsored guests. Minimum age requirement is 16 years or older with a parent or guardian. Class fees per person vary by military affiliation and rank. Dependent fees are calculated at the sponsoring active duty or retiree rate. Pre-registration is required as classes can fill up quickly. Registration includes boat rental, instruction, and textbooks. Students per boat will be kept to the minimum amount possible in order to maximize learning potential and will range from one to four. Number of students per boat is dependent on the boat size, sailing conditions and the skills being developed in the class. On completion of the course, participants receive a Navy Sailing Qualification Card. Big steps, little feet, sweet impact! Join local non-profit organization HONEY Bags Inc. at 9 AM on Saturday, April 18th for a 5k in Pleasant Valley with your family and friends. Participants can run or walk this 5k (road) course that begins at East Fairmont High School (EFHS). You will start on the EFHS campus then go downhill on Airport Road. You will then turn right at Crosswinds and run out then back to Airport Road past the municipal airport.
