Kids Run Lansing is a FREE after school running program designed to teach kids the foundations of running with Good Form and build a life long love of the sport and fitness. The Playmakers Fitness Foundation, in collaboration with the Lansing School District, will run this program at participating Lansing School District elementary schools. The program will run for one hour after school on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays - a snack will be provided.  Parent Pick up is required. Who We Are: Healthy Kids Running Series is a five (5) week running program in the spring and fall for kids Pre-K through 8th grade. Each HKRS Series takes place once a week and offers age-appropriate running events including the 50 & 75 yard dashes, the 1/4 mile, the 1/2 mile and the 1 mile run. Kids will earn points for each race they complete based on their finish. Run 2 Ramble 5K Program

The Decatur Running Club is offering a Beginning Running Program starting Tuesday April 14th.  This is a FREE organized 8-week program targeting new (or returning after a long break) runners. DRC mentors can teach new runners how to build safely and slowly, and can outline a goal, such as finishing a 5K. The program will meet on Tuesday evenings at Fairview Park, Thursday evenings at Nelson Park, and Saturday mornings at Rock Springs Conservation Area.  You do not have to attend every run, but we encourage you to try to do two a week.  A Facebook group page will be the primary means of communication throughout the program, with reminders of location, what to expect, and what to bring, for example, water bottle, cooling towel, etc. Graduation race will be the Rock Springs Ramble on June 6th at the Rock Springs Conservation Area located at 3939 Nearing Ln Decatur. 2026 Jensen Center Youth Soccer Registration

The Jensen Community Center's annual Youth Soccer program is open to all area youth from grades 4K through 8. The 2026 season will run from Tuesday, April 14 to Thursday, May 14, with the 6-8 league playoffs scheduled for Saturday, May 16. (Schedules are weather-dependent.) Games for K-5 are held on Thursday evenings and Saturday mornings with Tuesday evenings as game makeup dates if needed. The grades 6-8 division will have games on Tuesday and Thursday evenings with practices and clinics on Saturday mornings. 4K games are held only on Saturday mornings with no make-up sessions. Early bird registration is $30 for K-8 through December 31, 2025. The mission of Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of Hidalgo County is to advocate for the best interests of children in the foster care system by promoting and supporting quality volunteer representation—ensuring every child has the opportunity to grow up in a safe, permanent, and nurturing home. In Hidalgo County, the need for CASA is significant. During fiscal year 2024–2025, 2,086 children experienced foster care. CASA volunteers served 246 children, representing only 8.5% of those who needed a dedicated voice in court. With community support, we can reach more children who deserve advocacy and stability. The 15th Annual Glow Blue for CASA 5K Fun Run/Walk is an evening event held in recognition of Child Abuse Prevention Awareness Month. Healthy Kids Running Series Spring 2026 - Stow Creek, NJ

Who We Are: Healthy Kids Running Series is a five (5) week running program in the spring and fall for kids Pre-K through 8th grade. Each HKRS Series takes place once a week and offers age-appropriate running events including the 50 & 75 yard dashes, the 1/4 mile, the 1/2 mile and the 1 mile run. The LCpl Noah Lippeatt 3:16 Challenge is modeled after the United States Marine Corps Physical Fitness Test, combining strength and endurance through 3 core challenges, push ups, sit ups, and planks, while running 3.16 miles.​​​​ The challenge is designed for 3.16 miles to represent John 3:16, a core belief LCpl Noah Lippeatt carried and shared with others throughout his life.
