Kevin Dendy Memorial 5K

Come out and join us on Saturday, April 11th for the 5th Annual Kevin Dendy Memorial 5K! This year the race will be starting at Eno River Brewing and running through Hillsborough's beautiful River Walk.    Captain Kevin Dendy was local to the Hillsborough/North Durham community. He was commissioned into the North Carolina National Guard and served one tour in Kuwait during the initial wave of the Covid-19 pandemic and provided essential medical care to soldiers serving overseas. Kevin had a love for everything outdoors - running, hiking, swimming, and riding his motorcycle. On December 29 of 2021, Kevin tragically lost his life in a motorcycle accident. Proceeds from this race will benefit Vets to Vets United. The 2026 Catamount Climb Half Marathon and 5K will be hosted on the campus of Western Carolina University in Cullowhee, NC along the banks of the Tuckasegee River. The 5K course is completely on campus and navigates through the heart of campus with moderate elevation change. The half marathon course starts on campus, and then heads off campus for a few miles before returning back to campus for the finish line. The Catamount Climb Half Marathon and 5K (formerly known as Valley of the Lilies) is hosted by the Western Carolina University School of Health Sciences and the Department of Campus Recreation & Wellness. Countdown to One! Last Man Standing (Syracuse)

This unique challenge is for those dedicated runners that like to push themselves a bit more than others. As a Countdown to ONE participant you will run as many single miles as you can based on the time requirements for each. The course is a 1 mile loop. The start/finish for each mile is the same.  All participants receive a finisher medal. Here's how it works... Each mile must be completed in less than the required time to advance to the next mile.  If you fail to complete any of the miles in the allotted time you're out of the competition.  The first mile must be completed in 15 minutes or under, the second mile must be completed in 13 minutes or less, 3rd mile in 11 minutes or less, 4th mile in 10 minutes or less. These 4 miles make up the Bronze category.  You must complete all 4 miles under the time cut offs to earn a bronze pin that can be attached to your medal. 37th Annual Prospect Park Spring Duathlon

Race Start Time and Location: On 4/11/26, NYTri is coming to Brooklyn to host our 37th Annual Spring Duathlon in Prospect Park. Prospect Park is always a special place for us because we are from Brooklyn! In 2024, we have added the entire outer park look for your second run, all 3.3 miles (5k). We are racing the same course once again this year. Your final lap of the run will be around the big loop completing all 3.3 miles, with a total of 140ft elevation gain. Be ready because the hill to the Grand Army Plaza is no joke! Here is what you can expect on race day. At 7:30 am the race will start in Lincoln Field by the triangle grass area by the Well House Dr (E Lake Dr and Lincoln Rd entrance). Run #1 beginning at 7:30 am is a fast loop around the park’s inner circle. Athletes will set out along East Dr and make a left through Center Dr, where you will cut across the park, exiting west side. With little gain in elevation you’ll head around Prospect Park Lake where you will pick up speed
