Southern Illinois 10K, Micro-Marathon, and PeeWee Marathon

*This is a River to River Runners Club Championship Series event!*   The 10k run is set for 7:30am on Saturday, April 11 at the Crab Orchard National Wildlife Refuge. The Micro Marathon will start at 9:30 am, and the PeeWee Marathon will start at 10:30 am. Check-in and race day registration begins at 6:30am. All courses start and end at the new refuge headquarters located on Headquarters Road, just West of Rt 148.  The courses are flat with a few small, gently rolling hills. All race participants registered by March 29th are guaranteed a T-shirt. There are also prizes for the top three male and female runners in each five-year age group, as well as the overall winner. We had another wonderful day on Campus in 2025 for our Bulldog Jog - the 6th year of our partnership race with Butler University and Indy Runners and Indy Walkers running club!  We're looking forward to even more fun in 2026. About the Run: Aid stations will be every 3 miles for the Marathon, Half Marathon, and 20 Mile courses. This is a RULES OF THE ROAD event. Running for Elsie's Heart

Join us on April 11, 2026 at 10:00 am to run a 5K for Elsie Dawn West, the newest addition to the West family. Parents are Colton & Caitlyn West, of Hiawassee GA. Elsie also has an older brother, Cash, just shy of 2 years old. This race will begin at the pavilion once entering the Clay County Park Campground. The race will go from there along the Chatuge Dam Trail and back.  Elsie is currently in the cardiac center at the Children's Healthcare of Atlanta. Shortly after being home from the hospital from birth, Elsie ended up having to go to ICU. In summary, Elsie as congenital heart defects. Elsie is going to be going down a "single ventricle pathway" with a grand total of 3 heart surgeries. We know this is overwhelmingly hard for Elsie, her parents, brother, and immediate family members. We have full faith in God for total healing & normal life for Elsie, but she does have a long road ahead. Help us show our support by lessening the financial burden this lays on the
