The 12th annual Joey's Wings 5k & Obstacle Run will be on November 14th, 2026 at Santa Fe College! When you run/walk with us, you will be creating awareness and giving HOPE to the 47 children and their families that are diagnosed every day.  Joey's Wings Foundation, a 501c3 non-profit charity, was established in 2014 in the memory of Joey, a 10-year-old boy who loved to run, but was taken from us by childhood cancer on Nov. 26, 2014. 100% of all donations made will be used towards research and treatment options, parent support and advocacy. Serenbe is a beautiful wellness community on the edge of Atlanta. With shops, restaurants, nature trails, animals, farms and much more. It is the perfect place to come stay for a weekend or visit for a day. The race distances are 5k, 10k and a 1-mile fun run for kids (ages 5-12). Parents have the option to accompany their child during the Mado Mile if they would like, but will not receive a medal. Running Towards Tomorrow is more than just a race—it's a movement to honor those we've lost to suicide and mental health struggles. It serves as a tribute and a call to action, raising awareness about a growing crisis that affects individuals, families, and communities across the nation. This event was created in memory of John Bradford Paul, lovingly known as Brad Paul—a devoted father, son, brother, uncle, and friend. Brad was a lifelong runner and a passionate supporter of others. Born into a Navy family, he moved frequently throughout his early years and eventually called Forsyth County home for nearly two decades. There, he helped establish Ananchel Photography, serving the community as a local business owner for 15 years. Later, Brad moved to Tampa, Florida, where he found a new calling as a teacher for children with special needs and as a track coach. A proud alumnus of Colgate University, he carried his love for running throughout his life. But behind the miles and achievements, Brad was quietly battling mental health challenges that eventually overwhelmed him. Running Towards Tomorrow represents the resilience Brad showed and the message we hope to share: There is always a reason to keep going. Each step forward is a reminder that no one is alone, and that tomorrow holds hope. Join us as we run in memory, in solidarity, and in support of mental health awareness. The Atlanta Metro Pump & Run 5K is a hybrid strength‑and‑endurance challenge that combines bench‑press performance with a chip‑timed 5K run. Athletes begin in the Strength Arena, where they bench press a percentage of their bodyweight for as many validated reps as possible. This is a 5K road race in beautiful Summerville, GA and a 2 mile health walk. This is a relative flat run with 2 hills less than a 2% grade. Runners will be awarded by overall winner and male and female age division. There will be a Grand masters award for the oldest runner as well a young timers award for the youngest. The race will start the start and end at Union Street at West Washington Street in down town Summerville, GA. This is a great race to improve your race time as well as meeting new friends. Half Marathon (Mountain Marathon) Sunday, November 15, 2026 11:30 am to 3:00 pm. This event uses all the same forestry roads the US Rangers train on. Tough YES, but not too tough for runners capable of covering the 13.1 miles. This course starts and finishes on the airfield at Camp Merrill. Almost all of the half marathon course is off-pavement on service roads that curl through the Appalachian Mountains, only feet from the Appalachian Trail. Challenge yourself with two grueling hills where America’s best soldiers are trained. Parking is abundant. Food and Beverage will be available at the on-post service Club, The Overhang, after the event. This includes beer and wine and a full menu. 14th Annual Barney's Run for Warriors RESCUE TWO LIVES- a veteran and a dog! We are proud supporters of K9’s for Warriors based in Ponte Vedra, Florida. Proceeds from our race purchase a highly trained service dog for an area veteran. Ninety five percent of the dogs trained by K9’s are rescued from shelters with high kill rates. The veterans that graduate from the K9’s for Warriors program are able to resume a more normal life. Our 13.1, 10 k , and 5 k races are USATF certified. Join us for the third annual H2GO 5k on Saturday, November 14th! This isn't your typical 5k race. The Run Like Water 5K is the only 5k event where runners will be able to gain an exclusive, behind the scenes look at the world renowned F. Wayne Hill Water Resources Center (WRC) on your route. Official Peachtree Qualifier The Run Like Water 5K is an official qualifier for the Atlanta Journal Constitution Peachtree Road Race. Route The race will begin and conclude on The Water Tower Global Innovation Center's campus. Opened in 2022, The Water Tower Innovation Center is a first-of-its-kind innovation hub for research, technology, and training to support innovative solutions for the water industry. The F. Wayne Hill WRC is an award-winning advanced wastewater treatment facility located next door to The Water Tower. The water it cleans and returns to the environment is some of the highest quality effluent (cleaned wastewater) in the United States. The F. Wayne Hill WRC is a worldwide model for wastewater treatment, providing approximately 100 tours a year for visitors from around the world. Two other parts of the treatment process—nutrient recovery and energy recovery—make the F. The Pike County American Legion serves and honors all of America’s military Veterans, to include their families in and around the Pike County, Georgia community. This includes providing assistant to Veterans with physical, mental, emotional, and financial needs. Within its Veteran and Community programs, Post 197 provides information and education on Veteran’s affairs, Patriotism, and Americanism. The only way we can serve Veterans and the Community is through the community’s generous financial support. Participation in the event will help to assist Post 197 continue its Veteran and community programs. There will be opening remarks/instructions followed by the National Anthem starting at 8:45 AM. 5K Race starts at 9:00 AM sharp. All runners and walkers are welcome. Any minor child running/walking the race on their own should register for the event and be accompanied and monitored by an adult. Well trained pets are welcome and must be leashed at all times. STRIDE Boys Character Education & Running Program Success, Teamwork, Respect, Inspiration, Determination = Excellence in character. Stride is similar to the well-known girls running program. Open to 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade boys, this afterschool activity meets twice per week for 10 weeks. Each session focuses on a different topic like bullying or sportsmanship using open discussion, games and running exercises to teach real-life lessons. With a 2-mile course entirely within the Zoo, you and your family can "fun run" under the lights and be the first to see Holiday Magic!
