SPRING  is a wonderful time of year in the state of North Carolina: the temperatures begin to warm, the days get longer, the sun shines brighter, and the TRADITION of the hometown Holly Springs "NC Spring Classic" takes place!  This local event encompasses all levels of runner and has distance options of 5k, 8k and 16k. The race starts and finishes on Main St., the perfect setting in the heart of downtown! *This is a River to River Runners Club Championship Series event!*   The 10k run is set for 7:30am on Saturday, April 11 at the Crab Orchard National Wildlife Refuge. The Micro Marathon will start at 9:30 am, and the PeeWee Marathon will start at 10:30 am. Check-in and race day registration begins at 6:30am. All courses start and end at the new refuge headquarters located on Headquarters Road, just West of Rt 148.  The courses are flat with a few small, gently rolling hills. All race participants registered by March 29th are guaranteed a T-shirt. There are also prizes for the top three male and female runners in each five-year age group, as well as the overall winner. There will be special awards for participants who participate in all three events. Light refreshments will be provided.

A great spring time race hosted by Capital Striders around Gray's lake to get your legs in shape for the coming season. The Capital Striders are a member of the Road Runners Club of America, which promotes the development of community-based running clubs and events in the pursuit of health and competition for all ages. RRCA provides support and race insurance for many of its 2,500 member organizations.

A point to point 5K starting in Eldridge to Long Grove with the theme of sowing seeds for a new season of growing here in Iowa. But the fun doesn't stop there. We will be hosting another point to point 5K in the fall from Long Grove to Eldridge where we are bringing in the harvest metaphorically.

The Run to the Beach 5K and One-Mile Easter Eggs Scramble on April 11, 2026, features beautiful courses that loop around Portage Lakes State Park.   Great swag!  Finisher medals for ALL 5K runners and walkers. The Run to the Beach 5K and 1-Mile Easter Egg Scramble is set to take participants for a mostly flat and fast run or walk along the lakeshore of Portage Lakes State Park, where more than 2000 acres of lakes, camping sites and hiking trails make it a popular recreation spot for boating and fishing here in northeastern Ohio. We had another wonderful day on Campus in 2025 for our Bulldog Jog - the 6th year of our partnership race with Butler University and Indy Runners and Indy Walkers running club!  We're looking forward to even more fun in 2026. Who We Are: Healthy Kids Running Series is a five (5) week running program in the spring and fall for kids Pre-K through 8th grade. Each HKRS Series takes place once a week and offers age-appropriate running events including the 50 & 75 yard dashes, the 1/4 mile, the 1/2 mile and the 1 mile run. Kids will earn points for each race they complete based on their finish. About the Run: Aid stations will be every 3 miles for the Marathon, Half Marathon, and 20 Mile courses. This is a RULES OF THE ROAD event. Runners, walkers, and ruckers must stay on the sidewalk & follow traffic laws. We have courses highlighting Cleveland and a few of the surrounding suburbs. The courses will have minimal crossings and are easy to follow. Join us on April 11, 2026 at 10:00 am to run a 5K for Elsie Dawn West, the newest addition to the West family. Parents are Colton & Caitlyn West, of Hiawassee GA. Elsie also has an older brother, Cash, just shy of 2 years old. This race will begin at the pavilion once entering the Clay County Park Campground. The race will go from there along the Chatuge Dam Trail and back.  Elsie is currently in the cardiac center at the Children's Healthcare of Atlanta. Shortly after being home from the hospital from birth, Elsie ended up having to go to ICU. In summary, Elsie as congenital heart defects. Elsie is going to be going down a "single ventricle pathway" with a grand total of 3 heart surgeries. We know this is overwhelmingly hard for Elsie, her parents, brother, and immediate family members. We have full faith in God for total healing & normal life for Elsie, but she does have a long road ahead. Help us show our support by lessening the financial burden this lays on the
