Last Chance Marathon and Half Marathon

Bellingham, WA
OK, here is your Last Chance to run a 1/2 marathon or full marathon this year! The 1/2 marathon course is an out and back and the full marathon course is the same out and back course two times, starting at Fairhaven Park Pavillion, running the Interurban trail out to Clayton Beach for the full 13.1 miles or 26.2. Course is subject to change if trail conditions mandate.   This trail has spectacular views and very few hills, just enough hills to make it interesting, and break up the flat sections. FYI: We have been known to have SNOW this time of the year so plan accordingly. The majority of this trail is covered with a canopy of trees which deflects some of the rain or snow, but this also means it doesn’t heat as fast as an open course would. It can get cold. The majority of the trail is an old railroad bed, very easy to run on gravel surface, with the exception of Arroyos Park. Arroyos Park is a double track trail with a few bridges and a few fun hills. It is a very well maintained set

Become a Racing for Sustainability Champion!

Chattanooga, TN
Racing for Sustainability. It’s our name and it’s what we’re doing. Join us - become a Racing for Sustainability Champion!   Have you ever:  Stepped on discarded cups during a race?                          Gotten an empty gel packet stuck on your shoe?                           Been handed a plastic bottle of water as you cross the finish line?                           Tossed that bottle into a trash can, along with your banana peel and chip bag?                           Shoved your race t-shirt in a drawer when you got home, never to be worn? Those are just the most obvious examples of a race’s environmental impact; there’s a lot more going on behind the scenes.  From local 5Ks to major marathons, the running industry generates a significant environmental footprint. Racing for Sustainability is working to change that. We’re dedicated to promoting eco-friendly practices in the running community and helping races reduce their environmental impact. RunVermont's Youth Running Programs

Burlington, VT
RunVermont's mission is to support running as a lifelong activity by producing exceptional events and programs that engage our community and celebrate the athletic spirit. RunVermont endeavors to start this support early by offering free youth races throughout the year and through its Mini Milers program. Mini Milers gives elementary school children access to fitness, good nutrition, community service and goal setting, all while having fun and being safe. Children meet weekly with Mini Miler leaders to get motivated, get educated, get some exercise, and keep track of their progress. Mini Milers are not required to participate in RunVermont's Memorial Day Weekend Youth Events, which include the M&T Bank Vermont City Two Mile and the Mini Marathon, but the majority of Mini Milers, along with several hundred other youth, choose to. While it does cost money to participate in these youth events, RunVermont does not want a registration fee to be a barrier to any youth participati
