Join us for the Annual JLHR Jingle Jog 1 Mile Family Fun Run & 5k Race hosted by the Junior League of Hampton Roads! This is a community event where every participant will run and/or walk a full 5K around the Del Trail (Skagit Playfields), named for MVHS's long time distance coach, Jess del Bosque. Each participant will receive a *T-shirt and Santa's hat. All the "Santas" will be led by a team of "reindeer" (MVHS XC runners) at the start. Ornament medals will be handed out to top finishers in each age group Water and hot drinks will be provided after the race.    Registration check-in can be done the morning of the run/walk on Saturday, December 19th at 9am (run starts at 10am).    All proceeds will go the the Non-School District Mount Vernon Athletic Fund and will benefit runners attending XC Summer Camp. Get in the holiday spirit with the most festive 5K of all! Winding through the beautiful pine tree acreage of Walnut Ridge Tree Farm, you'll be filled with the Christmas spirit as you embark on a 5K journey through glimmering lights and the beauty of the season. Participant's families and friends can come spectate while enjoying the fun atmosphere, enjoying fresh hot cocoa and the merriment of the Christmas season.  The 1K race is primarily geared towards children and walkers who may prefer a shorter distance than the 5K. Hit the trails with Team Summit for a fast and challenging race through Little Mulberry Park this December.-The 10 Mile race will feature roughly 1,400ft of vertical gain. The race is part of the King & Queen Series and the Tennessee Running Tour.  The race is owned and managed by the State of Franklin Track Club.  It is part of SFTC's 2026 King & Queen Competition series.  David Crockett Birthplace State Park will be open for the race but with limited access.  Because of the limited access to the park, I will not be having an age group awards ceremony, but each runner will receive a medal at the finish line.  But the overall male & female will receive a trophy at the finish line.  Also, I will have a donation jar for donation for the "Friends of the Park" to help restore the park.                                                        THERE WILL BE NO REFUNDS
