Perry County Road Runners will host the 42nd edition of the Last Mile on December 27th 2025.  Its a 5 mile race that starts at the Duncannon Fire Hall at Cumberland and High St.  It goes through the scenic hillside outside town and finishes by the Fire Hall. The Ugly Sweater Run is a fun and spirited holiday race for all ages and abilities—where ugly sweaters meet beautiful people! Join Run The Land on Saturday, December 26th, for a cheerful 5K supporting the Christians in Action food pantry and helping local families in need this holiday season. Run, walk, or carol through the streets of Olmsted Falls. Start and finish will be at the Olmsted Community Center and hosted by Run The Land. Enjoy a trail run in the beautiful Rattlesnake Mountain and Huffaker hills. This course is all trail. Long sleeve performance shirt is included in race registration fee. The 5k race will begin at 9am on Saturday December 26th, 2026. 5k and virtual 5k available Youth and adult athletes are welcome, ages 5 and up.  This is a recognized and sanctioned race by USA track and field. EMT services will be provided by REMSA. This race will be officially timed and results will be posted online after the race. Two days of run events (New Year's Eve and New Year's Day), with beautiful race shirts and finisher medals for everyone. We are celebrating getting active to end the year and getting active to start the new year off right! There is a 5K, half marathon, and marathon BOTH days. The 5K happens in its entirety before the half and full marathon, so participants can do up to 2 races per day. There's also a special perk for those who complete multiple running events over the two days – we know how runners love their bling! For those who want the biggest challenge of a 5K and marathon EACH day, they will finish the two days with 58.6 miles and go into the next year with some solid miles already!

We are taking this event back to have some amazing fun on a very fast course. we will be doing some great give aways and competitions for both runners and teams. First 100 adult runners will receive a 1/4 zip jacket upgrade all others will receive a long sleeve shirt. This will be a timed event and also all runners will receive our amazing New Years clock medal.

RunVermont endeavors to start this support early by offering free youth races throughout the year and through its Mini Milers program. Mini Milers gives elementary school children access to fitness, good nutrition, community service and goal setting, all while having fun and being safe. Children meet weekly with Mini Miler leaders to get motivated, get educated, get some exercise, and keep track of their progress. Mini Milers are not required to participate in RunVermont's Memorial Day Weekend Youth Events, which include the M&T Bank Vermont City Two Mile and the Mini Marathon, but the majority of Mini Milers, along with several hundred other youth, choose to. Run in the New Year with us at the 4th annual NOON Year's Eve 5K presented by Patterson Heating & Air Conditioning! This popular holiday 5K sold out the first three years, so we're expecting a full house again in 2026. The 5K kicks off with a traditional New Year's Eve countdown at NOON! All paces are welcome. Runners (and walkers!) will enjoy a certified cross country course with scenic views of the lake and surrounding parkland. SWAG If you love swag, we've got you covered! 5K participants will receive a long sleeve, branded race shirt, a finisher medal and post-race lunch/beverages. Make sure you sign up early to secure your swag though, as we do expect another sellout. Dear Racers,  We have worked hard to make a system we can take info to send finisher medals, awards, tshirts and other things after the race. We hope this new system makes it easier for us to track and serve you and get your items in a timely and professional manner. No we are not Amazon being able to get shipments out in 24 to 48 hours but we are working hard to get these orders down to 7 to 10 days.  We are using this website to manage medals and shirts after a race. We will cover the fee if the error was ours. Things like running out of shirts, medals, or an award were wrong on race day. If a racer simply did not pick up their award after the race they must pay for shipping. We give these out freely on race day but you need to ask for them or attend the awards ceremony. Once you pay for shipping here there is no refund. If we made a mistake on race day please contact us for a code to have this shipping waived.
