Welcome Back Runners!! This is the 14th Running!!! The Sorry 'Bout That 1/2 Marathon and Team Relay is back for 2027.  Hopefully it will be above freezing this year on race day, but not by much.  The course will be clockwise this year, meaning a uphill start start and uphilll finish, with the large downhill in the middle miles. Two aide stations and one portajohn will be on the course. Clockwise means it goes the direction of an old clock with hands. All turns on the course are to the right except for one.  Free Finisher Medals with entry and finish. If you enter the race and don't run you will not get a medal This year T shirts are extra cost. I have been informed by the accountants that the race can not afford to keep losing money every year. Just a 30-minute ferry ride off Hilton Head Island, SC lies Daufuskie Island. Haig Point, a private residential community on Daufuskie, hosts this ultimate event consisting of a half marathon or full marathon.  This event is produced and owned by Run 4 a Reason LLC/ Rough Runners R4R INC. Runners will experience the all-inclusive running event, as soon as they step onto the island.  The runners will be greeted with a morning cup of coffee, cinnamon rolls, and hyped entertainment to get you ready to run. Race through Haig Point, to Freeport, onto Church Rd, and then back into Haig Point along the beach.  After your race, a catered picnic lunch and an assortment of beverages await you…including a cool beer provided you’re of legal drinking age. A winter tradition returns as the Milwaukee County Zoo commemorates the annual Samson Stomp. Runners and walkers of all ages are invited to join in this popular event, honoring one of the Zoo’s most famous and beloved residents, Samson, the silverback gorilla (1950-1981). Money raised from the event supports all the animals in the Zoo’s population. Entry fees include a long-sleeved T-shirt, Zoo admission, beverage, snack, and parking. Welcome to the 2nd Annual – 2027 White Continent TriathlonTM! In December 2025 History was made.  A group of 6 brave pioneer triathletes succeeded in completing the first ever swim,  bike, run competition in Antarctica.   Marathon Adventures is happy to be the first, only and pioneer in this arena. This event will be hosted in conjunction with our White Continent 50k, Marathon & Half-Marathon®. The Triathlon will be limited to 20 Triathletes.  The swim will consist of upto a 400 meter swim, followed by a 20 km bike, and concluded with a 5km run. Final distances will be determined based upon final approval from governmental authorities. The Tentative dates for the 2027 WCT are: January 17-25, 2027. Welcome to the 12th Annual - 2027 White Continent Marathon & 1/2 Marathon®! For 2027, we will once again camp overnight on King George Island, Antarctica.   During the race, runners will be cheered on by penguins and seals.  Following the races our runners have been able to enjoy excursions to a penguin colony, where they saw Gentoo, Adelie & Chinstrap penguins.  They have also explored the nearby Russian Research base and their ornate Orthodox Church.  Those options may be available in 2027 as well, time and weather permitting. The Sun Marathon has four distances. Full Marathon, Half Marathon, 10K and 5K.  This race purpose is to get runners out of the cold and into the warmth of Southern Utah in the St. George/Santa Clara Area. Though the courses are primarily downhill over the distance there are some rollers and a few climbs. The views during this race are great with huge red rock mountains all around to views of Gunlock Reservoir during the Marathon and a nice river along the Full and Half Marathons.

We want to invite you and your friends and family to the 2025 FRIGID 5K and Penguin Plunge! It’s a great way to start out the year and break free from the winter running blues! The 5K and Penguin Plunge have been the premier winter event for over a decade. After the 5K, finish the event off with the Penguin Plunge. Majestically framing the west side of the valley, Red Rock Canyon is the most notable natural treasure in the Las Vegas area. Federally designated as a Backcountry Scenic Byway, the 13 mile paved scenic drive traverses some of the Mojave Desert's most stunning vistas. Sandstone formations, desert vegetation, and wildlife bring this place to life. The birthplace of Calico Racing! The Wilson Creek Frozen 50k offers a unique, winter running experience on the stunning Wilson Creek trail system, 30 minutes south of Nampa, Idaho. Runners will traverse the Reynolds Creek gorge along the China Ditch and summit Wilson Peak while braving the elements. These trails showcase southwest Idaho at its finest during a time of year when most people are watching the weather from the warmth of their homes. If you are looking for an epic adventure, you will not be disappointed. The 20 mile loop contains 4500′ of elevation gain and the 10 mile loop contains 1500′ of elevation gain for a total 6000′ of elevation gain for the 50k. The 50k is a combination of the two loops. Each OBSTACLE FITNESS ZONE will have 2 Obstacles (think walls, monkey bars, rope climbs, etc.) and 2 Functional Fitness Exercises (think deadlifts, wall balls, etc.).
