Come join us for a fun 5K run/walk through the beautiful Gatewood neighborhood on Thanksgiving Day starting at 8am!  Online Registration ends Monday 11/23 at 6pm!!!! Kids under 10 are free!  Sign up early for the lower cost of $25.  We will have sign up available on race day at the start beginning at 7 am for $30. Please bring cash or check.  This race features stunning autumn views passing the peaceful ponds and magnificent woods of Gatewood subdivision.  The course is paved and rolling in terrain with minimal traffic. All abilities and ages are welcome. Prizes will be given to the overall male and female runners, overall masters male and female winner and to age group winners in 10 year increments. We offer terrific post race goodies for breakfast including homemade pumpkin bread, hot coffee and hot chocolate.  Registration can be with or without a t shirt, but sign up by November 9th at 6pm to order a shirt! We may have a few additional ones for sale on race day, but no guarantees.

The Great Turkey Escape 5K road race and 3/4 mile kids run. We will spoil our runners with a long sleeve tech shirt, an embroidered winter beanie (hat), embroidered running gloves and a finisher's medal along with 3 deep 5 year age group awards. The race begins and ends at the Redding Community Center on Lonetown Rd (RT 107) and all proceeds will be donated to our beneficiaries.

Gobble, gobble!!! Calling all TURKEYS!Join us for our annual Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving Day at Shadyside Lake! Registration is online or the day of only and starts at 7:15 AM. When you run the Gobble Gallop 5K, you support our Annual Campaign, which ensures that all ages can experience the benefits of Y membership, including health, fitness and education. In 2024 we were able to give over $401,571 in financial assistance to our Westside Community. The Hendricks Regional Health YMCA strives to make a difference in the lives of people in our community every day. The Gobble Gallop 5k is our largest fundraising event for our Annual Campaign. This past year, the donations we received towards our Annual Campaign helped provide over $401,571 in financial assistance to qualifying Westside families. We were able to provide children with the opportunity to attend preschool, take swim lessons, and play in our youth sports leagues. What started as a Thanksgiving morning run has turned into a tradition. Come build that Thanksgiving appetite by running the 6.2 mile certified course through the beautiful Golden Springs community. This ARC event benefits the YMCA. Walkers are welcome! Come and participate as a family. Overall male and female winners receive a Turkey Breast from The Honey Baked Ham Company. Overall 2nd & 3rd male and female receive Yummy Pies. AGE GROUP Awards M/F = 9 and under, 10-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80+ and over. The course is USATF certified and we will have chip timing. 2026 will have early packet pick-up! Locust's Second Annual-Turkey Trot 5-K! For years, many of us have made memories at the Albemarle Turkey Trot-now it's time start our own tradition right here at home! Join us for the Gobble Gobble 5K on Thanksgiving morning at 8:00am, starting from the Locust Town Center. The Turkey Trot 5K is a family-favorite tradition that takes place on Thanksgiving morning before all of the festivities begin for the day. Be sure to bring your friends and family so that you can wobble before you gobble!  The 5K begins at the LYCC of Gardner-Webb University and the race route goes throughout the beautiful town of Boiling Springs. Running a race that matters this holiday season is what the Turkey Trot is all about; all proceeds from the race go to the YMCA's We Build People Scholarship Fund so that we can provide financial assistance to those in need so that they can have access to the YMCA. The scenic race course loops Hinckley Lake within the Hinckley Reservation.  Start/finish and parking (same as last year) We'll Start/Finish at the South Ball Field parking lot. The event is NJ’s original Turkey Trot and consists of a 5K Run & 2M walk that takes participants through the historic streets of Flemington, NJ. The 8K Run honors local hero and Olympic Champion, Horace Ashenfelter, who won the steeplechase event at the 1952 Olympic Games in Helsinki, Finland. It's a Thanksgiving Day tradition, and it's returning to the streets of Newark, NY in 2025!  The race is a 5-mile run through the streets of the Village of Newark, located conveniently between Rochester and Syracuse.  All proceeds benefit the Newark Cross Country Boosters.Race Day check-in begins at 8AM at the community center.

The Amy King 5K Run will be held on Thanksgiving morning, November 26, 2026 at 9:00 am in Jamestown, NY.      Proceeds raised will benefit the Amy King Kids’ YMCA Summer Camp and Southwestern Central School Scholarships.Amy King was a flight attendant on United Flight 175. She was 29 years old on September 11, 2001 when terrorists hijacked her flight. The chip-timed 4-Mile Wobble Gobble Run on Thanksgiving is a festive family event that welcomes runners and walkers of all ages to "wobble" their way through a mostly paved/sidewalk course in downtown Keene. Held annually on Thanksgiving morning, this run/walk has become a beloved community tradition for many, allowing people to kick off the holiday with a healthy dose of fun and exercise before they "gobble" their Thanksgiving feast.   Walkers begin at 8:30 am.  Runners begin at 9:00 am.
