Come join us for a fun 5K run/walk through the beautiful Gatewood neighborhood on Thanksgiving Day starting at 8am!  Online Registration ends Monday 11/23 at 6pm!!!! The Great Turkey Escape 5K road race and 3/4 mile kids run. We will spoil our runners with a long sleeve tech shirt, an embroidered winter beanie (hat), embroidered running gloves and a finisher's medal along with 3 deep 5 year age group awards. When you run the Gobble Gallop 5K, you support our Annual Campaign, which ensures that all ages can experience the benefits of Y membership, including health, fitness and education. In 2024 we were able to give over $401,571 in financial assistance to our Westside Community. The Hendricks Regional Health YMCA strives to make a difference in the lives of people in our community every day. The Gobble Gallop 5k is our largest fundraising event for our Annual Campaign. This past year, the donations we received towards our Annual Campaign helped provide over $401,571 in financial assistance to qualifying Westside families. We were able to provide children with the opportunity to attend preschool, take swim lessons, and play in our youth sports leagues. The Rhode Island Family Turkey Trot 5K   EVENT INFORMATION Event date is Thursday, November 26, 2026 at beautiful Centreville Bank Stadium in Pawtucket, RI! Participants in the 2026 race will enjoy an epic on-field finish inside the Stadium. 2026 Houston Methodist Turkey Trot

Run 1, 2, 3 or 4 half or full marathons races around beautiful Bachman Lake!!!   Race information: USATF sanctioned, and chip timed!! Heath Golf & Yacht Club is putting on our fourth annual fun run on Thanksgiving morning.  Last year we were able to donate $18000.00 to Helping Hands.  All race proceeds will go to this organization who help families going through difficult times.  For more information click on the link below or copy and paste to your web browser.  https://rockwallhelpinghands.com/here-to-help/ It will feature a Kid's 1K at 8:00 AM and a 5K at 8:30.  The Kids 1K will be out and back from the Clubhouse, the 5K will circle a loop going east on Governor's Drive, north on Trophy and west back to Clubhouse on Governor's Drive. The 5K race will be a chipped timed race. Each Kid will receive a medal after finishing the 1K.  There will be overall female and male awards in the 5K, and age group awards: 1-19, 20-29, 30-39,40-49, 50-59, and 60-99.
