The Murphy Scholarship is Leesville Road High School's first endowed scholarship. Founded in 2011 in memory of Leesville's first principal, Richard J. Murphy, it seeks to inspire incoming students by recognizing the best of our graduating senior class. The major fundraiser for the scholarship is the Leesville Community Turkey Trot, presented by Murray Moyer. Our USATF-certified 5K race takes place on local neighborhood roads and serves as both a great volunteer opportunity and an informal reunion for Leesville alumni and families. The inaugural Coalinga Turkey Trot is happening on Thanksgiving morning! Trot your way through the 5K course or walk the 2K (1.2 miles) before you head home to feast.  The event is family-friendly, so make sure to sign up your all of your kids, cousins, aunts and uncles!  The event takes place rain or shine at the Coalinga-Huron Sports Complex on Cambridge Avenue. Join us for North Ogden's FOURTH ANNUAL Turkey Trot, hosted by The Hobbyjogger Project! The race will begin at 8 AM at McGriff Park (2950 N 900 E, North Ogden, UT 84414). Parking will be available in the church parking lot to the south of the park. The race is a 2-lap course (1.5 miles per lap). The race can be run as an individual 5K, or as a 2-person relay (1 lap each). We will have the timing set up to take individual splits for relay runners, as well as total time for teams and individuals. Join us for the 5th Annual Galveston Island Turkey Trot.  A beautiful, flat course on the famous Galveston Island Seawall. Run or Walk with perfect views of the Gulf Coast. The distance is a 5K encouraging runners, walkers, friends & family to come together to Turkey Trot! This is an out and back course with a post-race party ending at Menard Park behind the McGuire-Dent Recreation Center. Costumes are Welcome! This race supports HART which is a non-profit organization that supports Health & Fitness on the Island and the surrounding area. This race event will be held at Trinity Park (Pavilion #3) in Fort Worth, Texas, offering a scenic and runner-friendly course. Participants can choose from a Half Marathon, 5K, or a 1 Mile Fun Run & Walk, making it a great event for runners and walkers of all ages and abilities.  There will be Finisher medals for all finishers. Awards are given three deep in each age group for the 5K and Half Marathon, including overall and masters categories. The event also features free parking, early packet pickup options, and professionally chip-timed results by Cox Racing Services, ensuring a smooth and well-organized race experience.

The 14th Annual Stuffing Strut helps prepare you for your Thanksgiving feast before you have it! Join us Thanksgiving morning for a 5K walk/run through Chester Frost Park. All paid participants will receive a race t-shirt to show off at the Thanksgiving table. Winners in each age bracket will receive a commemorative race medal.  All proceeds from this race benefit the Northside Neighborhood House, the Soddy-Daisy Food Bank, the Dallas Bay Volunteer Fire Department, and the Soddy-Daisy Middle School's Jim Wilson Fund.  Registration opens at 7:30 a.m., Race begins at 8:30 a.m.   PACKET PICK will be on Wednesday, November 25, at Chester Frost Park Pavilion, 7872 Causeway Road. 20TH ANNUAL GUTHRIE SAYRE TURKEY TROT LIVE RACE WITH VIRTUAL OPTION FOR 2026!  Be a part of this beloved holiday tradition and the largest 5K in Bradford County, with over 1,200 runners participating annually! This flat, fast course starts and finishes at the historic Sayre Theatre, and the course runs on local streets through the Athens and Sayre Boroughs.

5K Run / Walk that is flat terrain on Walnut Street in Titusville PA.  This is our 12th annual event and fun for the whole family.  Adult fee is now $15.  Kids 18 and under participate for free.  Kids under age 7 can participate but are not officially timed and do not need to be registered.  There is a charge if participants want a race shirt.  Long Sleeve is $16 / Short Sleeve $11 This race is chip timed by Wolf Creek Race Management

ABOUT THIS EVENTThe 10th Annual Bobcats Turkey Trot 5K is an event organized by the Beaver Bobcats Girls Basketball program. There are two options for this 5K. (1) A chip timed Run/Walk, (2) untimed Fun Run/Walk. Timing provided by Wolf Creek Race Management. COURSEThe 5K course is a beautiful run through the streets of Beaver along the Ohio River. Please note, streets will remain open to traffic.  The route will have signs and volunteers directing the way. A water station will be located at the halfway point of the 5K course. This is one of the largest races in the Myrtle Beach area! The race course is through the scenic Market Common region of Myrtle Beach, which was home to the former Myrtle Beach Air Force Base.
