The "Justify The Pie" is more than just a race; it's a celebration of unity and well-being. This event is designed to bring people of all ages and fitness levels together to burn off some energy and calories before indulging in the festive Thanksgiving dinner later that day. Whether you're an avid runner or someone looking to enjoy a morning of movement, this event has something for everyone. The event takes place at Jamestown Lower Elementary. Scheduled for Turkey Day, Thursday, November 26th, 2026, the Iron Mountain | Kingsford Turkey Trot 5K Run/Walk is all about bringing families together before you feast. The 19th Annual Tipp Turkey Trot returns to Kyle Park. Once again this year, there are options to run either 5k or 10k!  This race serves as a fundraiser Ginghamsburg Church's New Path Ministry which provides food for families in need.   Start your Thanksgiving off by getting some exercise and providing for such a good cause. The Woodbury Wobble 5K is a community event to encourage movement before the feast and a portion of our profits go to stock the shelves of our local food bank.  With your registration you will receive a race bib, gun timed race, fully marked course, post-race snacks, plus a swag item. Only the first 100 registered runners get the branded knit hat. (As of October 22, 2025 the first 100 hats are claimed. You can now purchase a hat with your race registration.) There will also be the turkey scavenger hunt along the course that kids can complete for a small prize. Kids ages 0 - 12 who would like a time, bib, and swag item will be $12, They will NOT get a hat. The THIRD ANNUAL St. Joseph 5k “Turkey Trot” Run/Walk will be held on November 26, 2026!  Starting and finishing at the Margaret B. Upton Arboretum, this will be a wonderful way for families to gather, friends to reunite, and the community to strengthen – not to mention a guilt-free way to begin a day famous for indulging!  Participants will run or walk past Silver Beach Pizza, Shadowland, the Carousel, and our Iconic beaches on the way to an energetic finish with music, refreshments, and awards. Our goal is simply to create an event that will become a tradition as so many other Thanksgiving Day races have become throughout Michigan.

Event Details: Come and join us for Oberlin's own version of the traditional Thanksgiving Turkey Trot. This event will feature a 5K Run/Walk or 1 Mile Fun Walk. The goal of this event is to bring friends and family together and enjoy an activity together, along with building community. Please join us for the 27th A8K Classic and the Tom Fleming 2K Run benefiting the Glen Ridge Educational Foundation.  Start time 8K 9:00AM, 2K 8:15AM. The 8K Run honors local hero and Olympic Champion, Horace Ashenfelter, who won the steeplechase event at the 1952 Olympic Games in Helsinki, Finland. The 2K Run honors local hero Tom Fleming who won the 1973 and 1975 New York City Marathons. COURSE: The 8K Course is a USATF Certified “relatively flat” road course with two water stops through historic Glen Ridge. The one mile course is USATF certified; an out and run back on Ridgewood Avenue. New Hope Christian School, located in Smithville, Missouri, is excited to announce their inaugural turkey trail trot 5k on November 27, 2025. This self-timed event will be a fundraiser for the school to support Christian education in Smithville. All proceeds from the race will go toward the New Hope Scholarship Fund which helps defray the cost of tuition for deserving families attending New Hope who demonstrate a financial need. This first-ever turkey trot in Smithville will be held in the Smith's Fork recreation area with ample parking near the soccer and baseball fields as well as overflow parking at Grace Community Church, just a cross MO Hwy DD. Louisville, Colorado Turkey Trot 2026 The 13th Annual AdventHealth Avista Louisville Turkey Trot began as a way to collect food and donations for our local food bank, Community Food Share, while bringing our community together on Thanksgiving morning.
