The Mighty Gobbler is a Thanksgiving tradition! A 5k race and 1 mile fun run/walk through a quiet Troy neighborhood. Founded in 1907, the 119th New Orleans Athletic Club's Turkey Day Race stands as the 5th oldest continuous race in the United States. The race begins and ends at Tad Gormley Stadium in New Orleans City Park, featuring a 5-Mile and a Kids' Half-Mile run/walk. It has become a cherished holiday tradition for families from across the nation, with several generations returning annually to participate. The Murphy Scholarship is Leesville Road High School's first endowed scholarship. Founded in 2011 in memory of Leesville's first principal, Richard J. The Pathfinder Early Learning Center Turkey Trot is a Thanksgiving tradition in Huntington County. The Turkey Trot is a 5K run and 1 Mile Walk. Our new location starts at Pathfinder’s Administrative offices, going around the beautiful Pehkokia Woods and passing the Izaak Walton League on the way back. We plan on seeing our 1,100+ participants, along with spectators and fans. Money raised supports the children and programming at the Early Learning Center.

The LUM Turkey Trot 5K Run is open to runners of all ages and abilities and welcomes runners, walkers, dogs, strollers, wagons, turkey hats and more. MedStar Health's 22nd Annual CHS XC Turkey Trot is a time honored Catonsville tradition. A fun celebration of health, wellness, and family with a rich sense of community, our cross country style 1 mile family fun run (8:10am) and 5k (8:30am) offers something for everyone.  Both races are chip timed. A prediction run is entirely different from other races that you’ve run in the past. Rather than finishing first or running the fastest, the object of a prediction run is to finish as close to a certain time as possible. In the case of the Howard County Striders prediction runs, the goal is to finish as close to 11:00am as possible. One way the Striders prediction runs differ from many other runs is that you get to start whenever you want – whoever finishes closest to 11:00am wins. Oh, and one important thing, you CANNOT use any sort of timing device. Also, no baby strollers, iPods, headphones or animals. We are back on the Boone Greenway Trail for the 16th Annual High Country Turkey Trot! Choose from a 5K or 10K timed race or an untimed Fun Run/Walk. Taking place on Thanksgiving morning, The High Country Turkey Trot is open to competitive runners, casual joggers, walkers, and fun runners. Celebrate Thanksgiving weekend and the lighting of Christmas Mountain in Salida with a 5 mile and 1 mile race!  The 5 mile course begins and ends by Riverside Park in downtown Salida. Race course is very scenic and mostly flat (around 160 feet of elevation gain) and takes place on city and county roads and gravel or concrete pedestrian paths.
