The Ivoryton Pumpkin Chase is a 5K Road/Trail Race and a Kiddie Pumpkin Fun Run (age 7 and below) to benefit the Ivoryton Library and takes place in peak foliage season of southern New England. The course begins along North Main Street for approximately ½ mile before turning left down Falls River Drive. At the one mile mark, the course enters the Falls River Preserve for a 1.1 mile trail loop that meanders along the Falls River. The trail is double track for about ½ mile before it turns into hilly and rocky single track. Care must be taken on the trail due to the presence some jagged rocks and roots. Please be aware that the trail can be slippery in wet conditions.   Participants will receive a free t-shirt with registration before September 18. Everybody has a story. Just listen. You never know what is going on behind their smile. Approximately 22 veterans take their own lives PER DAY. At 22 Too Many, they are committed to increasing public knowledge and awareness of PTS. 22 TOO MANY is also devoted to honoring the memory of the fallen who have been lost to suicide, as well as providing comfort and support to their mourning families. Suicide is not only a military issue. A 2024 National Veteran Suicide Prevention Annual Report, 131.2 U.S. adults died by suicide PER DAY. Oktoberfest at Lake of the Ozarks is back with a .5k and a 5k. Yes, you read that right.  In addition to a traditional 5k, we have a one-half K (roughly .31 miles for you non-runners). The Werewolf Chase is a free fun run the chase begins on Saturday, October 18, 2025, at 11:00 AM  at Fort Wayne Outfitters. Gather your friends and family to participate in this unique and action-packed event. The Werewolf Chase Fun Run offers a one-of-a-kind experience. Race through the downtown Fort Wayne trail network and evade the werewolves in pursuit. Can you outrun them and make it to the finish line? The Human Potential Running Series PresentsThe Indian Creek Trail Runs @ Indian Creek Campground The Indian Creek Trail Runs is the oldest official race of HPRS and is also known as our annual “Fall Classic.” This event features some of the best, seldom used, single track trails of the Denver Metro area. Participants will travel through the lower and upper montane ecosystems of the Front Range; from the lodgepole pine forest around 6,000-8,000′ sprinkled with sprawling aspen groves, down to the tall grasses and red rocks of the lower montane areas around 5,000′. This time of year is known for the changing colors across Colorado’s landscape. From golden quaking aspen, to the bright red hues of low lying scrub oak, and the amber waves of tall grasses of America’s high prairie. You’ll find it hard to believe that you’re so close to a major city, one that you can see from the many viewpoints along the route. Join us at Mission Field @ Hoffmantown Church, October 17, 2026.  for the 5th Annual Run for the 1 in 100 brought to you by Lexiam Heart Foundation.  All money raised will stay in New Mexico to provide support to children and families affected by Congenital Heart Defects.  We will have a 5K/2K Walk/Run, family friendly activities, and a special Remembrance Ceremony for our Heart Angels.  We also plan to have food trucks at the event.

Paint Chaffee Pink 2026: A Walk for Hope, Healing, and Community Each October, our community comes together for a powerful reason—to stand united in the fight against breast cancer. The Paint Chaffee Pink Walk is more than just a morning of movement; it’s a tribute to strength, a celebration of survivorship, and a promise that no one faces cancer alone. Held at the beautiful Celebration Garden and Wellness Park in Barling, this annual walk brings together survivors, families, caregivers, and advocates from across the region. It is a day filled with love, remembrance, and support—a visual reminder of the resilience found in every person affected by breast cancer. The walk also plays a vital role in helping provide life-changing support services through the Donald W. Reynolds Cancer Support House. Proceeds help fund free programs like educational resources, prevention screenings, emotional support, and patient navigation—offered to anyone facing a cancer diagnosis in our area. Paint Chaf

The Chemung County Department of Aging and Long Term Care is excited to announce the 2nd Annual Chemung County Senior Games Intergenerational 5K Run/Walk on Saturday, October 17th at 9:00 AM! Open to anyone age 18 and older, this event is a fun and energizing way to stay active, celebrate wellness, and bring our community together across generations. To add to the excitement, participants are encouraged to wear costumes, Awards and gift certificates will be given to the best male and female costumes! Cantigny (pronounced "Can - Tee - Knee") Cantigny is the former home of Colonel Robert R. McCormick, longtime editor, and publisher of the Chicago Tribune. The 500-acre estate features gardens, the Robert R. McCormick Museum, the First Division Museum, and a 27-hole championship public golf course. 5K participants and their families are invited to explore and enjoy Cantigny.  Cantigny 5K Run/Walk 2025 The Cantigny 5K Run/Walk is a benefit for the Midwest Shelter for Homeless Veterans, and registrants may enjoy access to Cantigny for the rest of the afternoon. The course tours the grounds of Cantigny and Cantigny Golf. Participants will run past Cantigny’s Gardens, the Robert R. McCormick House, and the First Division Museum. Please note that due to construction at Cantigny Golf, the course will be modified this year. Digital clocks or timers will be located at mile markers. The annual Springville Fat Tire Classic mountain bike race takes place on single track trails above Springville, CA.  There are King and Queen of the Hill contests.  Kids Race (11 years and younger) starts at 11:30 am.  Registration begins at 10:00 am.  NO ENTRY FEE for Kids Race is starting 11:00 am on-sight registration!  Must show up with parent or legal guardian to register.  Lots of prizes!!  Helmets required.  Race-day registration is available on site for all events.
