Our annual Walk For Life 5K Run/Walk will be held on Saturday, October 10, 2026. This is a timed race starting and finishing at Doodle Park in Pickens, SC. The race will be ran on a Certified Course. The 5K Run/Walk is family friendly for all ages and a great way to involve your family in supporting the sanctity of life! We are a pregnancy care center serving families in Pickens County and surrounding areas during and after pregnancy. We believe that life begins at conception and that salvation comes through belief in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. All proceeds from this race will go directly to Hope Women's Center in supporting their ministry. The race will begin at 9:00AM.  Awards will be presented around 10:00am. Lick Skillet Farm hosts its fifth annual end-of-season fall fundraiser and farm celebration: rides at every level followed by a great party at the farm! Four totally new scenic back-road routes: 12-, 25-, & 40-mile options, a re-mapped metric century, AND a brand new 75 mile option. The twelve-miler is flat and family-friendly, with extra SAG, perfect for kids or anyone who wants an easy day on great roads. Experienced riders will find both the Metric Century and the 3/4 century to be enjoyably challenging.  The 4 longer rides start at 10am, with the 12 miler starting at 10:05am.  Parking, registration, and ride start are at New Market Elementary, 1559 Old A.J. Experience an adventure race unlike anything else—paddle, pedal, and pace your way on the Conemaugh River to the West Penn Trail in the scenic, historic town of Saltsburg, PA. Solo racers must be at least 15 years old. Participants ages 12–14 may compete as part of a team, provided they do not complete the paddle segment on their own. E‑bikes are not permitted. Early registration opens April 1, 2026, and closes at 1 p.m. on October 8, 2026. Note: The paddle course will be finalized closer to race day based on river conditions.

The Race for the Golden Helix 5K (GH5K) is an annual 5 km (3.1 mile) open-road race around the beautiful campus of Tennessee Technological University in Cookeville, TN. The GH5K is professionally timed.  All parking on the Tennessee Tech University campus is free and available to the public on the weekends. You will not be ticketed unless you park in a spot that is specifically reserved. The best parking for the race is behind the TN Tech STEM Center, along Stadium Drive, near the Laboratory Science Commons (LSC) and Stonecipher Auditorium. The race is organized by the Student Affiliates of the American Society of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (ASBMB) with the assistance of the Student Members of the American Chemical Society (SMACS) and the Chem-Med Club. The AthHalf packs all that Athens has to offer into exciting half marathon and 5K courses! The first donkey race in Idaho! 3, 6 & 9 mile burro race. Walkers and hikers are welcome. You must have your own donkey-no "rentals" will be available. The course will be run as an out and back along the Weiser River Trail following the Weiser River through canyons and open farm land on the old Pacific and Idaho Northern railroad corridor. There is very little elevation change on the course.  What is Burro Racing?  First, let's talk about what a burro is. “Burro” is the Spanish word for donkey. “Pack burro racing is a sport in Colorado, Arizona, California, and New Mexico that is rooted in the various western state's mining histories.[1] In the early days of the mining industry in Colorado, miners would take donkeys (burros in Spanish) through the mountains of Colorado while prospecting. OUR WHY One of the hardest parts of the CDH journey is the isolation you experience. Meeting up with families who are walking this same path can be so life giving. We want to provide the space and place for you to do just that! Whether you are the parent/family/friend of a child who has survived CDH or a child who has passed from CDH please join us. We will have an afternoon of walking, talking, games and of course a cookout. We will spend the hours from 4pm-6pm connecting and then at 6:30pm we will begin lighting the luminaries and begin the moment of silence as we walk amongst the lighted names of those whose lives were unfairly cut short from this diagnosis. If you cannot attend the walk you can still purchase luminaries for your loved ones. We will be live-streaming the lighting ceremony so that everyone can participate. The 2026 River Roux Olympic Triathlon will be held on October 10th!   River Roux features a 1.5K swim, 40K bike ride, and a 10K run in historic New Roads. The race has aquabike, duathlon, and relay divisions.  It wraps up with awards and a finish fest in the greenspace across from transition. ​ RKF is a non-profit organization whose mission is to create and sustain active, fit and healthy children, families and communities through programming, advocacy and education, as an effort to fight childhood obesity through multisport events and camp scholarship and grant programs.  RKF also gives back to local schools/clubs in the cities that welcome us there, such as Boy Scouts, parish and city programs, 4-H, local schools, and more.   Entries are limited to 300 competitors.  SWIMThe swim course will be a double loop clockwise swim that begins and ends at the floating dock. The 26th Annual North American Wife Carrying Championship® returns to Sunday River on Saturday, October 10, 2026, as part of our Fall Fest weekend. It’s weird, wild, and wildly entertaining—this one-of-a-kind event draws competitors and spectators from across the globe to see who has what it takes to carry their partner to victory. Teams race on foot through a 278-yard obstacle course that includes log hurdles, a sand trap, and the fan-favorite “Widow Maker” water hazard. The fastest two teams from the qualifying rounds will advance to a final heat to compete for the championship title—and some pretty quirky prizes, including the wife’s weight in beer and five times her weight in cash. Family Health Partnership Clinic is proud to present the 26th Annual Care4 Breast Cancer 5K Run/Walk on Sunday, October 18th at Woodstock North High School! The Care4 Breast Cancer 5K celebrates survivors, supports our breast cancer warriors and honors the loved ones we have lost too soon.  It is an inspiring and moving event that makes a huge impact in our community.  The Care4 5K raises critical funds to support Family Health Partnership Clinic in it's mission to provide health care services to the uninsured adults of McHenry County.  Specifically, the funds raised are pledged to breast cancer education, early diagnosis & detection, annual screenings and other women's health programs.  We know that early detection is key to survival and, with your help, we can give everyone the hope and support they need. Sarcoma Stomp is being held in honor of Bo Arvin.  The mission is to carry on the characteristics which made him loved by so many.  We intend to preserve his memory of kindness, loyalty, humor, respect, faith and courage by bringing awareness to pediatric cancer as well as the underfunded research for treatment and a cure. The Bo Arvin Memorial Foundation will use 50% of our fundraising efforts to benefit the Children's Cancer Therapy Developmental Institute (CCTDI).  It also supports 2 scholarships at Christ Our Rock Lutheran High School.

Georgia urgently needs a milk bank to provide safe, donor breastmilk for medically fragile infants who cannot receive milk from their own mothers—giving them vital nutrition and immune protection. Race proceeds will be made available to directly support the MedMilk Project: Building Georgia’s Milk Bank. This event also raises awareness for World Breastfeeding Week, a global campaign to inform, support, and empower families on breastfeeding and related health issues. By participating, you help ensure Georgia families have the resources and support they need—and help bring Georgia’s first milk bank to life.

The Tails & TaTas Breast Cancer Awareness 5k Run/Walk in partnership with Swope Family of Dealerships will be held in a hybrid format allowing both virtual and in-person participation. The start/finish line for the dog-friendly run will begin at the Swope Toyota Dealership and wind through Freeman Lake Park. We have also added a 1-mile fun run for the 12 and under group. As in the past10 years, all funds will be given to the Baptist Health Foundation Hardin.  For the 5k Run - Awards will be given to the overall 1st place finisher male & female runners.  For the 1 mile fun run - Awards will be given for the 1st, 2nd & 3rd place male & female runners.
