Run by the Sea returns to lovely Wilder Ranch State Park on Sunday, October 4th! This unique Half Marathon, 12K run, and 4K run/walk meanders along the gorgeous coastal bluffs of California's Central Coast in Santa Cruz and consists mostly of flat, packed dirt trails. Participants will enjoy scenic coastal views while passing along the bluffs and Wilder Ranch park trails. Get ready to take in the natural beauty of the Monterey Bay, the serene flats of Wilder Ranch's meadows, and maybe even catch a glimpse of some dolphins - no other race is quite like it! Rocky Mountain Road Runners holds a monthly Trophy Series in the Denver area.  We provide a low-key, low-cost racing environment. Everyone is welcome to run with us! The 8mi race uses a handicap start system, slow-to-fast, spread over ~45 minutes. This gives everyone a chance to win. We'll use your estimated finish time to assign you a start time with others the same speed. All 5k racers will start ~15min after the first 8mi starters. Our October race is at Star K Ranch, in Aurora, along the mostly dirt Sand Creek path. Race Day Details Time:   8:30am + handicap start for the 8mi. All 5km racers start ~15 minutes after the first 8mi starter.  Show up 30-45 minutes early to get your bib and warm up!  Location:  Star K Ranch/Morrison Nature Center, in AuroraCourse:  The race runs on the mostly wide dirt path along the Sand Creek.Both courses are out and back, slightly uphill out and downhill back.

The main roads may be efficient but the back roads sure are beautiful. Take in the views of the Beartooth's as you cruise on rolling rural roads.  This fall Half and 10k is a great way to wrap up your summer running season. We know it's cross country season so this race on is on Sunday so you can watch your kids run on Saturday and then show them what you've got on Sunday! This is a race for everyone. Walkers welcome in the 10k. Sorry no dogs at this race as we go by lots of livestock and livestock guardian dogs. Both courses are on gravel with a few paved sections and minimal elevation gain....well there are 1 or 2 big hills, but after that, smooth sailing! Strollers are welcome, but require some serious grit. There is a short steep hill on the 10k course in the first mile and a longer, less steep hill in the first mile of the half. Both races finish with a steep of trail downhill -strollers have 100% gone down this, but do so at their own risk. We do mark a turn on the 10

This 10.6 mile point-to-point race runs through Lolo National Forest on rolling single-track trail alongside the Clark Fork River.  After the race, runners will be shuttled to Quinn’s Hot Springs Resort to enjoy post race food, drinks, and soak in the hot pools. Each participant will receive a stylish 11 Miles to Paradise T-shirt, custom drop bag, bus shuttle to race start, chip timing, finisher award, and snacks at the finish line! Rode To HELL is a gravel bike event consisting of three distances: 71 Mile, 41 Mile and 24 Mile. The event encompasses Jackson, Washtenaw, Livingston and Ingham Counties. Third Annual Boal City Oktoberfest 5K Trail Race Get ready for a 5 K trail run on Sunday, October 5th, during the heart of Oktoberfest and peak fall foliage! For the most elite runners out there, get ready to push your limits and challenge yourself to the max. Join the Fort Wayne Running Club as we continue the tradition of supporting Riley Children's Hospital with the 20th Annual Run for Riley. Participants may choose between the 5 mile chip timed race or the 5K event.  Both events begin at Maple Creek Middle School and progress to the beautiful paved trails of the Fort Wayne Greenway. The course splits with 5 mile participants going one way and 5K participants going the other way. Hey everyone! Please join F3 Midlands for our 3rd Annual week-long virtual activity challenge! This year we're aiming to run across America "From Sea to Shining Sea" and log a total of 5,540 miles together as a group. It's all for a great cause—raising awareness about the serious issue of human trafficking right here in our community. Throughout the week of October 4-10 all participants will track their own miles wherever and however you want to log them. This race was developed to honor the police officers from Stanislaus County who were killed in the line of duty. In honor of these heroes, the start line, finish line and each mile of the half marathon will be dedicated to one of the 20 fallen officers from Stanislaus County. The officers photo along with the agency they worked for and their “End of watch” date will be displayed at their mile marker.

Located just south of the Capital Beltway in Lorton, this beautiful race course includes a mixture of forested and open meadow singletrack meandering through 1600 acres of the former prison grounds. The race starts and ends under the old guard towers at the Workhouse Arts Center, which is the site of the former Lorton Reformatory.  The course is one of our least technical and most of it is on singletrack that is a mix of dirt and crushed stone.  The only short pavement sections are at the beginning and end of the race.  There are no extended climbs, but lots of short ups and downs. The 9/11 Heroes Run 5K welcomes runners, ruckers, and walkers of all ages and fitness levels to honor the heroes of 9/11 and those who've served our nations since. We activate & unite communities and empower local veterans, active duty, first responders, and families of the fallen. TMF is proud to partner with GORUCK again with rucking divisions at every run. Rucking is a sport based on special forces training in which participants walk or run while carrying weighted rucksacks. Chesterfield, VA 23832The race staging area will be located about 1 1/2 miles straight into the park on State Park Rd.  Once you pass the entrance parking contact station, you continue straight, following park signs to the pool parking lot/boat launch about 1 1/2 miles down State Park Rd.  Start, finish and staging will be located on the large grass field adjacent to the boat launch.  All race activities will be located at the black and orange tents on the field Parking:  The park regular fee is required if you don't have a state park permit.  All day parking access is currently $10 per car load on weekends.  Although the park accepts cards, cash is the fastest way to move past the contact station.  Race Day pickup: October 5 Sunday 730-9am at the staging area at Pocah

Explore the scenic Glenroy Preserve trails at the fourth annual Kettle Cooker Five & Dime on October 4th, 2027 presented by Herr's Snacks and Altra Running, along with many local sponsors! It takes a village! Glenroy Preserve is a beautiful outdoor playground that also happens to be rich in history. Some of the trails will take you through parts of the Underground Railroad, while even running past a tavern that was said to have served patrons during the Civil War. Each distance is a loop. The 10 mile and 25K distances will follow the same course but then split around mile 9.
