The Zarzaur Law Sea Turtle Triathlon is held annually the first Sunday of October.  The 2025 event will be on Sunday, October 5th, 2025. The event is held on beautiful Pensacola Beach, Florida. The event features a full triathlon experience for children from 6 to 15 years old while friends and family cheer them on. With a fully supported event on a closed course, safety and encouragement from volunteers complement the excitement of children becoming triathletes. The swim course is held in the beautiful waters of the Gulf of America followed by scenic bike and run courses.  Both the bike and run courses features an out and back layout  along Highway 399 which is closed to vehicular traffic during the event.  Every athlete will receive a finisher medal.  Custom age group awards are presented to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd placement in each age group.  ​

Athletes enjoy this course for its beauty and small-town atmosphere. Montauk is a quaint fishing and surfing town on the easternmost tip of Long Island. The town is known for its natural beauty and sports enthusiastic visitors.  Montauk is one of the birthplaces of triathlon. The sport is growing and athletes want to challenge themselves with longer events. There are few metro area triathlons of this distance. In addition to providing a venue for the athletes, this event will showcase Montauk at a time when the weather is still nice but the summer crowds are not as heavy. This is a great family weekend to spend on the east end with the Olympic and Sprint triathlons both taking place on Sunday.

Rocky Mountain Road Runners holds a monthly Trophy Series in the Denver area.  We provide a low-key, low-cost racing environment. Everyone is welcome to run with us! The 8mi race uses a handicap start system, slow-to-fast, spread over ~45 minutes. This gives everyone a chance to win. We'll use your estimated finish time to assign you a start time with others the same speed. All 5k racers will start ~15min after the first 8mi starters. The 9/11 Heroes Run 5K welcomes runners, ruckers, and walkers of all ages and fitness levels to honor the heroes of 9/11 and those who've served our nations since. Chesterfield, VA 23832The race staging area will be located about 1 1/2 miles straight into the park on State Park Rd.  Once you pass the entrance parking contact station, you continue straight, following park signs to the pool parking lot/boat launch about 1 1/2 miles down State Park Rd.  Start, finish and staging will be located on the large grass field adjacent to the boat launch.  All race activities will be located at the black and orange tents on the field Parking:  The park regular fee is required if you don't have a state park permit.  All day parking access is currently $10 per car load on weekends.  Although the park accepts cards, cash is the fastest way to move past the contact station.  Race Day pickup: October 5 Sunday 730-9am at the staging area at Pocah

Located just south of the Capital Beltway in Lorton, this beautiful race course includes a mixture of forested and open meadow singletrack meandering through 1600 acres of the former prison grounds. The race starts and ends under the old guard towers at the Workhouse Arts Center, which is the site of the former Lorton Reformatory.  The course is one of our least technical and most of it is on singletrack that is a mix of dirt and crushed stone.  The only short pavement sections are at the beginning and end of the race.  There are no extended climbs, but lots of short ups and downs. Please join us for our EIGHTH annual Baby Steps Foundation 5K to support those affected by pregnancy and infant loss. It's so crazy to see this crazy little idea we had to have a small 5K turn into hundreds of people. We cannot thank you enough for your support.  REGISTRATION PURCHASED AFTER SEPTEMBER 20TH WILL NOT RECEIVE A SHIRT. We have to put in our shirt order two weeks before the race. Explore the scenic Glenroy Preserve trails at the fourth annual Kettle Cooker Five & Dime on October 4th, 2027 presented by Herr's Snacks and Altra Running, along with many local sponsors! It takes a village! Glenroy Preserve is a beautiful outdoor playground that also happens to be rich in history. Some of the trails will take you through parts of the Underground Railroad, while even running past a tavern that was said to have served patrons during the Civil War. Each distance is a loop. The 10 mile and 25K distances will follow the same course but then split around mile 9. See information below. 2025 RESULTS 2026 marks the 7th annual Blazing 5k. The last 6 years have welcomed elites and runners of all types. The 5k course starts on the back loop in Water Works Park and shoots out the gun going clockwise on the flat and fast loop. At the end of the loop the racers are greeted by a prize for the first person to cross the mat. From there it's another flat and fast main loop going clockwise. This area offers plenty of space for spectators and the field can be seen for almost the entirety of this loop. It finishes on the screaming fast and long straightaway to the finish. Who was SueB? A vivacious, intelligent woman who is missed dearly every day. February 9, 1955 – April 4, 2008Susan Elaine Brubaker Newby died in 2008 during a mysterious horseback riding incident. After her death, family, and friends realized that SueB – her nickname – was likely in an abusive marriage. SueB’s sister, Marj, and friends, Leslie and Teresa turned to the WCA as a way to honor SueB’s life and increase awareness about domestic violence. Their hope: “to help other successful, smart, beautiful women like SueB leave these relationships before it’s too late.”   About The Race: Continuing to honor the memory of Susan “Sue B” Newby, The 17th Annual SueB 5K kicks off on Sunday, October 4th at 12 pm at Julia Davis Park in Downtown Boise, ID.
