Athletes enjoy this course for its beauty and small-town atmosphere. Montauk is a quaint fishing and surfing town on the easternmost tip of Long Island. The town is known for its natural beauty and sports enthusiastic visitors.  Montauk is one of the birthplaces of triathlon. The sport is growing and athletes want to challenge themselves with longer events. There are few metro area triathlons of this distance. In addition to providing a venue for the athletes, this event will showcase Montauk at a time when the weather is still nice but the summer crowds are not as heavy. This is a great family weekend to spend on the east end with the Olympic and Sprint triathlons both taking place on Sunday.

Located just south of the Capital Beltway in Lorton, this beautiful race course includes a mixture of forested and open meadow singletrack meandering through 1600 acres of the former prison grounds. The race starts and ends under the old guard towers at the Workhouse Arts Center, which is the site of the former Lorton Reformatory.  The course is one of our least technical and most of it is on singletrack that is a mix of dirt and crushed stone.  The only short pavement sections are at the beginning and end of the race.  There are no extended climbs, but lots of short ups and downs. It’s a beautiful 28 mile run through the Wolf Creek Canyon. These 28 miles are divided into 4 legs, with each leg being chip timed by Competitive Timing.   The teams can consist of 8, 4, 2, or solo runners.**** Again we are adding an 8 person team.  This would let more people participate with dividing each leg into 2 runners.  Many can run 3.5 miles, but not 7 miles.  We're hoping to encourage more to participate running in our beautiful canyon!  The division would be entirely up to the participating team members and these splits will not be recorded by chip timing, only at each leg exchange, as normal.  Each participant is still required to pay the individual entry fee in order to receive the awesome swag and chip timing at each leg exchange. **** Each team is responsible for their own team members throughout the race distance. The Keene Family YMCA’s Fall Foliage Trail Races offer runners a great opportunity to explore some of Keene’s best trails, while supporting the charitable work of the Y. This unique race starts and ends at the Keene YMCA, where spectators and your fellow runners will be cheering you on. This year we’re excited to bring you an even better race experience, with options for those new to the sport and for the seasoned trail runner. Our 5K course is a great introduction to trail running, with a good mix of terrain that will give you a taste of what it’s like to run trails. This event will feature a Half Marathon and a 10K race. Runners will experience Hutchinson Island favorites such as Causeway Cove Marina, Jetty Park, Fort Pierce Inlet, Fort Pierce Aquarium, and Museum Pointe Park.   Wave to the boaters as you run alongside Fort Pierce Inlet or the sunbathers as run by Museum Pointe Beach.  As a final "present", runners get to run underneath the South Fort Pierce/Cobb Bridge and not over it!. The Cheesy Pretzel 5k is back for 2026! The Cheesy Pretzel 5k & 1 Mile Walk is a USATF certified 5k event [IL23028NM] that winds through The Promenade Bolingbrook and surrounding neighborhoods.  All participants in the 5k and 1 mile walk will receive an order of Pretzel Bites and Cheese!  The first 550 registered participants will receive a moisture wicking long sleeve shirt & Cheesy Pretzel Finisher Medal!  Shirt size preferences will be first come, first serve; corresponding to each participants race registration date. The Zarzaur Law Sea Turtle Triathlon is held annually the first Sunday of October.  The 2025 event will be on Sunday, October 5th, 2025. The event is held on beautiful Pensacola Beach, Florida. The event features a full triathlon experience for children from 6 to 15 years old while friends and family cheer them on. With a fully supported event on a closed course, safety and encouragement from volunteers complement the excitement of children becoming triathletes. The swim course is held in the beautiful waters of the Gulf of America followed by scenic bike and run courses.  Both the bike and run courses features an out and back layout  along Highway 399 which is closed to vehicular traffic during the event.  Every athlete will receive a finisher medal.  Custom age group awards are presented to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd placement in each age group.  ​

The Timothy School is a non-profit organization dedicated to educating children with autism, ages 5-21. For almost 60 years, the approved private school has worked to meet student needs through utilizing a research-based instructional model and focusing on each student’s individual strengths and needs to increase their skills and build their independence.   This is a family friendly event for individuals of all ages and abilities. We're thrilled to host the 9th Annual Southcoast Health Cancer Care Nicole Podkowa 5k The race will take place at Southcoast Health Cancer Care in Fairhaven, MA at 9am on Sunday, October 4, 2026.   Proceeds support the Nicole Podkowa Patient & Caregiver Fund. This unique fund supports patients being treated at Southcoast Health Cancer Care and their families who are in need of financial assistance to help with utility payments, food, housing, transportation, cancer related supplies and other necessities. For those that cannot join us in person but would still like to participate, you may still register for our virtual event and walk or run your 5k in the comfort of your own neighborhood, treadmill or local park. We are thrilled to announce the sixth annual DEF Dash 5K - A LIVE, IN-PERSON 5K RUN OR WALK!  After 10 successful years' operating Bernie’s Run, the Dedham Education Foundation launched the first annual “DEF Dash 5K” from Barnes Memorial Park in October 2019. Hundreds of runners and family and friends gathered for a fun day of running/walking, followed by delicious food, drink, music, and award ceremonies.  We will have prizes for the top runners in each age category!!!  Come support the Dedham Education Foundation and our Dedham Public Schools and Students on Sunday, October 6th at Barnes Memorial Park.  Race starts at 11am sharp! Who was SueB? A vivacious, intelligent woman who is missed dearly every day. February 9, 1955 – April 4, 2008Susan Elaine Brubaker Newby died in 2008 during a mysterious horseback riding incident. After her death, family, and friends realized that SueB – her nickname – was likely in an abusive marriage. SueB’s sister, Marj, and friends, Leslie and Teresa turned to the WCA as a way to honor SueB’s life and increase awareness about domestic violence. Their hope: “to help other successful, smart, beautiful women like SueB leave these relationships before it’s too late.”   About The Race: Continuing to honor the memory of Susan “Sue B” Newby, The 17th Annual SueB 5K kicks off on Sunday, October 4th at 12 pm at Julia Davis Park in Downtown Boise, ID. This 5 Mile event celebrates the awesomeness of outdoor recreation on the South River and supports the efforts of Arundel Rivers Federation! We are a gathering of novice and experienced swimmers & paddlers celebrating the efforts of these organizations and the impact they have on inclusive water access and sustainable rivers. Each participant is required to fundraise at least $100 in addition to their registration fee. The tools to help you reach the fundraising goal will be provided. Fundraisers who exceed $500 will have their registration fee reimbursed. .    Swimmers participate as pods. A pod is 2-4 similarly speeded swimmers. Every pod has a support boat with them. The Solo Swim All 5 Miles option allows for the pod to swim the entire distance with a dedicated paddler. Solo Pods may bring their own paddler, or request that option at check out.  The Take a Turn Swim/Paddle pod functions as a relay, taking turns paddling.
