This is a great, wear-a-costume 5k for all ages! Blake’s Haunted Orchard Event is a 5k run on gravel trails around the family-owned 800-acre Blake Farm. The 5k race will take you through our haunted hayride and zombie paintball scenes with live actors. This haunted Halloween run will include a donut, glass of hard or sweet cider, t-shirt, small pie pumpkin and admission to our Spookyland area after the race featuring a corn maze, 3D barn, live actors, Halloween themed movies, and animated attractions. Do you like loopy fun with runny friends where you get to see reindeer on every loop?  Yes?  Then Sleigh Me Ultras is for YOU!  This event takes place at the Shortsville Reindeer Farm and features a one mile loop on foot friendly grass/trail terrain with very little elevation.  There are some roots but nothing to climb over.  You choose how many miles you want to "rack" up.  There will be a fully stocked aid station located in the barn, pizzas at noon, and you are welcome to set up your own station with whatever else you may need.  Yes, there really are reindeer!  There's chickens too, and honey bees, and maple trees, and a dog named Clancy!  Bring your friends and family!   The 48 Hour option starts Friday evening.  All other races, you can choose to start at the top of any hour over the weekend!  We mark loops by hand.  We will mark your start/finish times on the board!  Results get loaded on runsignup in spreadsheet format so you can verify your results! This is a long-distance, nighttime, gravel ride. Don't miss this unique experience! There will be three ride options: 25 mile (Belleville), 40 mile (Monticello), and 80 mile (Illinois state line) out and back, asphalt for 5.3 miles in Fitchburg, then all gravel/dirt trail, except for a short detour on Tunnel Road around the closed Stewart Tunnel, beginning at nightfall. End times vary according to distance. Participants generally return to their motor vehicles at the start point or ride home. This ride is on the Badger State Trail. Riders are responsible for their own state trail passes. We meet at 6:30pm for required check-in and safety briefing. Then grab some snacks provided by Fitchburg Family Pharmacy before you hit the trail! The ride starts at 7pm. The Run to Remember is a 5k fundraiser that pays tribute to the Kentucky State Police's fallen units, who have made the ultimate sacrifice. The 17th annual Annapolis RUN for The Light House provides scenic half-marathon and 5k routes along the trails of Quiet Waters Park and through the beautiful Chesapeake Bay-front community of Hillsmere Shores. Bound for the Sound is 5k and 10k road race in Old Lyme, CT. Both courses start at popular Sound View Beach in Old Lyme, CT. The 10K is mostly flat with some gently rolling hills. The 5K is very flat and very fast. Both races finish down historic Hartford Avenue facing the beach. Post race food and drink is included in your race entry.  The 10K course is USATF certified (CT25015JHP) and will serve as the USATF-CT 10K State Championship for both 2025 and 2026, concluding the USATF-CT Road Grand Prix series. The 9/11 Heroes Run 5K welcomes runners, ruckers, and walkers of all ages and fitness levels to honor the heroes of 9/11 and those who've served our nations since. We activate & unite communities and empower local veterans, active duty, first responders, and families of the fallen. TMF is proud to partner with GORUCK again with rucking divisions at every run. Rucking is a sport based on special forces training in which participants walk or run while carrying weighted rucksacks. Mark your calendars for the 13th annual Norma E. Boyd 5K Race for Education on Sunday, September 20, 2026. This event, hosted by the Xi Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.® in collaboration with the Pearl and Ivy Educational Foundation, Inc. (PIEF), honors the 40th anniversary of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.® founder Norma E. Boyd’s passing. Norma E. Boyd, born on August 9, 1888, was a native Washingtonian dedicated to educational and humanitarian pursuits for children throughout her 97 years of life. She was an incorporator and founding member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.® and a charter member of the Xi Omega Chapter. Since 2013, the Norma E. Boyd 5K Race for Education has raised over $118,000, directly supporting PIEF's mission to provide college scholarships for District of Columbia high school students. The race consists of three stages along, and in, the New River. The trail is flat with a crushed cinder surface, and the river flows smoothly with small rapids under normal conditions. The race begins with a 40-mile out and back bike leg, followed by a 12.1-mile downriver kayak paddle, and ends with a half marathon run along the river for a total of 65.2 miles. Although the race is long, it's perfect for beginners and accomplished athletes due to its flattish nature. Participants may compete solo or in teams of two or three. We ask that you thoroughly read the rules and guidelines (PDF) before the race. They cover stage meeting times, transitions, requirements, courses, water and aid stations, and recommendations to make your race as trouble-free as possible. Miles 4 Madison is a 5K/1K Fun Run supported by Sterling Ranch CAB. Miles 4 Madison's goal is to provide educational and recreational opportunities for families with children with different abilities. The Race is for all capabilities, strollers, and pet-friendly! Race registrations done after 9/10 won't be guaranteed the selected shirt size.    After the success of previous years races, Miles for Madison provided scholarships for several Douglas County children to attend the week-long summer camp at Easter Seals Rocky Mountain Village as well as attend hippotherapy in Douglas County. We have been able to donate playground equipment to local schools and have hosted multiple sensory-friendly events in Sterling Ranch, including Sensory swim and, most recently, a sensory-friendly egg hunt. The 19th Annual 5K walk/run presented by Buena Vista Regional Medical Center begins and ends at the hospital and runs along a portion of Storm Lake's beautiful lake. Proceeds support those in treatment for cancer at BVRMC. Donations are welcome and can be made through the event website at time of registration.  No dogs, in-line skates, skateboards, scooters or bikes on course. No registration necessary for children in strollers.

Strength In Our Streets is a one-day Indiana Fitness Competition that will host an estimated 40, 12 person teams (480 athletes) from CrossFit affiliates and various gyms across Indiana. 100% of the proceeds benefit the work of Wheeler Mission, Indiana’s largest homeless service provider. Participating athletes work together to fundraise to help people experiencing life threatening issues such as homelessness and addiction. Since the event debuted in 2014, this event has raised more than 1.4 million dollars through peer-to-peer fundraising.

Heartbeat of Hoagland Foundation is a non-profit organization that provides financial assistance to heart transplant recipients.  The Heartbeat Hustle 5K Fun Run/Walk will kick off a day of fun, community, and fundraising for the foundation.  The entire 5K route is a level, paved surface - perfect or all ages.  The route is also stroller-friendly for young participants!

Join us Saturday, September 19th for the Mt A Trail Challenge! We're excited to have you join us at the summit of Mount Agamenticus for the 10th Annual Mt. A Trail Challenge! The 5K begins at 9 AM and the 1 Mile starts at 9:20 AM. Run, hike, roll or stroll through either our 1 Mile or 5K course. This challenge is timed the good ol’ fashioned way with stop watches, thanks to our local York Highschool Cross Country Team. The 2-mile event is now officially an untimed fun run/walk and kicks off just ahead of the 10K runners. We will begin the festivities at 7:00am and send off the 2-milers at 7:15am, followed by the 10k runners at 7:30am. This will allow for less congestion throughout the race, at the split, and most importantly at the finish line! The flat course runs through town to the outskirts of Morton and then finishes on Jefferson Street, in the heart of the Pumpkin Festival.The 2-mile fun run/walk welcomes old, young, short, tall, strollers, and wheelchairs.  No roller blades or pets (yes, unfortunately including dogs) allowed in either event.After the race, participants are invited to join us at the Post Race Party for beverages, snacks, our famous pumpkin donuts, music, and a fun area to hang out with fellow racers and family members.
