Kennedy Kids Foundation 4th Annual 5K Presented by Amerant Bank!

Miami Shores, FL
Come join us for our annual 5K Run, presented by Amerant Bank and hosted at Barry University in Miami Shores! It’s the very neighborhood where our dear Kennedy Bailey grew up and made friends. This 5K RUN is open to all families, age groups, and abilities. We’ll be using real-time chip tracking technology from our amazing partner Split Second Timing & Wildside to monitor all results and standings. Cash prizes for the 1st place male and female athlete! 1st, 2nd and 3rd placed male and female medals in each age division! Post-race party for all! This race was the brainchild of Sienna Alvarez-Coia, a childhood friend of Kennedy’s who wanted to create this race in her honor. Sadly, Kennedy struggled with depression due to a mental health crisis and passed away on Thursday, September 15, 2022. In her memory, our Kennedy Kids Foundation is dedicated to crowdfunding, fundraising, and developing programs and initiatives to prevent youth suicide. We’re focused on mental health and education

Leon's Heroes Obstacle Course Race - Indiana Dunes National Park

Gary, IN
The conflicts that America has faced, in fighting for our freedom, have often seemed insurmountable. If you look at the terrain and landscapes where our military has fought, it would make your heart sink in fear. But, our military has always stood strong and valiant in the face of such fears. They have shown the world what the meaning of brave truly is.  It is with this in mind, that we have created an obstacle course with a diverse set of “landscapes”, that represents just a handful of the types of topographies that our military have fought over and through. This is a way of honoring their dedication and sacrifice.

The long straight at the beginning of the bike course will let you get your distance from your competitors and the out-and-back run will ensure that you can see all of your friends out on course!  Don't want to swim? Try our DUathlon option, with a 1 mile run, 15.5 mile bike, and finish up with the 3.1 mile run course.  Finish up with food and fun at the Public Landing parking lot and relax!!
