Our annual 5K/10K Run or Walk to Support Higher-Ed in Uganda We'll be returning to Family Worship Center for the start and finish of this year's 5K/10K.  Our event will take place on August 22nd from 8–11am. Route: The course follows the Highland Canal, beginning at Clarkson Street and heading north to Orchard. This is a wide crushed gravel trail with both sun exposed and shaded areas.  Why We Run or Walk: One of the ways True Impact and our partners in Uganda are committed to helping our students become independent adults is by offering access to the best education possible. Your participation helps eliminate generational poverty. ALL proceeds from this event support our students enrolled in upper Secondary, Vocational, University levels of education through Susies Higher Ed Fund: As our students pursue these programs, costs rise. Lake Run Club, established in 1982 is hosting a summer trail run competition consisting of the following events: * This event is part of the Lake Run Club's Trail Run Series, which includes Run the Woods 5K/8K in October and Deer Run 8K in December. 12 Hour Sunrise to Sunset, which will be ran as a last man/women standing competition. Will be 51 miles if you complete each of the loops. The course consists of a 4.1 mile long course, measured with Garmin GPS watch.   This event you have exactly one hour to run the course. If a runner completes the loop in less than an hour, they are free to relax, refuel, hydrate, and use the facilities. So, if a person does the lap in 45 minutes, they have 15 minutes to wait around. If a runner finishes the 4.25 mile loop in 58 minutes, they have 2 minutes to use at their own discretion. Join us for the popular Athens Fair 5K Run/Walk that takes place in downtown Athens as part of the Annual Athens Fair.  This year is the 16th running of the popular mid-summer run. The 5K starts at Memorial Park, (in front of the Beer Tent) routes through the scenic Erbach Park trails and finishes on Kreutzer Street at in Downtown Athens, next to the grocery store, Main Street Market.  The race is made possible by the following local businesses and organizations. Nicole was a supporter and champion of mental health during her life, both personally and professionally, as a social worker and community volunteer; in the wake of her untimely death, the First We Live Foundation was created in recognition of the special person she was and the connections she made with so many; and as a result, the Nicole Moniz Memorial 5k has become an annual event in her honor to raise awareness and fund our mission to support and cultivate access to integrated mental health programs and services for those who encounter societal barriers in identifying and attending to their mental health needs, especially youth and those engaged in helping professions.

Our 5th annual Night of Hope will take place on Saturday, August 22, 2026, at the Westerville North High School Cross Country Course and McCann Stadium. The evening will feature 5K and 1 Mile races on the Westerville North Cross Country Course, and Family Fun Run around the track. The evening will promote mental health awareness and celebrate the lives of those we've lost to suicide. The evening will also feature Mental Health partners who will have information on their services and resources. This year, our Top Overall Male, Female and Non-Binary finisher will receive an award! All the money raised at the event will go directly towards supporting Westerville Education Challenge's initiatives in Westerville City Schools including: Hope Squad (at all high schools & middle schools), RoX, WEB (Where Everyone Belongs), Twinkle's Care, student scholarships, and Parent Prep. A full gas assault on Luton Park to determine the true KOM or QOM to benefit the Pitt Hopkins Research Foundation (PHRF) The race course at Luton Park will feature an approximately 8-mile loop of single track.  (Expert/Elite - 3 laps, Sport 2 laps, and beginner 1 lap)  It is a hard-packed, fast course with some technical sections and moderate climbs. Passing will be easily achieved in several areas.   This is a time trial, and start times are based on the date and time you register and category, so register early for the best starting position.

Can you survive the Death by 5k Challenge?  Ten 5ks in 24 hours. The first 5k starts at 8 am and subsequent 5ks start every 2.5 hours.  5k start times are as follows: 8 am, 1030 am, 1 pm, 330 pm, 6 pm, 830 pm, 11 pm, 130 am, 4 am, 630 am. The final 5k must be completed by 8 am on Sunday.  The event will take place at the RunStrong Training Center and the 5k course will be the same for each leg, starting and ending at the Training Center. Runners may rest or sleep inside their vehicles in between 5ks, or can go home if they live close enough to the event location. There is also a green space where tents can be placed.  There will be 5 meals, each including hot food, served over the course of the event. Meal times will be 830a, 130p, 630p, 1130p, and 420a. The 18th Annual Race Montana Triathlon and Duathlon is scheduled for Saturday, Aufust 22nd, 2026, at the Electric City Water Park in Great Falls, Montana.The Race Montana Triathlon Sprint Distance event will start at 7:00 am.  The event features a 500-meter snake swim in the Electric City Water Park 50-meter pool.  The Bike portion will be 12.2 miles, with the first 5 miles and last 6 miles being relatively flat.  Mile 6 is a steady climb to the turnaround.  The run will be a fast and flat 3.1 miles.  If you do not want to compete in all three events, get some friends together and compete as a team.  Team racers will start the event with individual racers based on the anticipated 500-meter swim time.
