Can you survive the Death by 5k Challenge?  Ten 5ks in 24 hours. The first 5k starts at 8 am and subsequent 5ks start every 2.5 hours.  5k start times are as follows: 8 am, 1030 am, 1 pm, 330 pm, 6 pm, 830 pm, 11 pm, 130 am, 4 am, 630 am. The final 5k must be completed by 8 am on Sunday.  The event will take place at the RunStrong Training Center and the 5k course will be the same for each leg, starting and ending at the Training Center. Runners may rest or sleep inside their vehicles in between 5ks, or can go home if they live close enough to the event location. There is also a green space where tents can be placed.  There will be 5 meals, each including hot food, served over the course of the event. Meal times will be 830a, 130p, 630p, 1130p, and 420a. There will be plenty of snack food throughout the event also.  Registrants will receive a race shirt along with some race swag, and finishers will receive a custom finisher's coffin. Race Montana Triathlon and Duathlon 2026

The 18th Annual Race Montana Triathlon and Duathlon is scheduled for Saturday, Aufust 22nd, 2026, at the Electric City Water Park in Great Falls, Montana.The Race Montana Triathlon Sprint Distance event will start at 7:00 am.  The event features a 500-meter snake swim in the Electric City Water Park 50-meter pool.  The Bike portion will be 12.2 miles, with the first 5 miles and last 6 miles being relatively flat.  Mile 6 is a steady climb to the turnaround.  The run will be a fast and flat 3.1 miles.  If you do not want to compete in all three events, get some friends together and compete as a team.  Team racers will start the event with individual racers based on the anticipated 500-meter swim time. THE FORGE - 26.2 Mile Gravel Grinder

We decided to pull The Forge Gravel Grinder from the complexities of the Old Forge Marathon Weekend and will now offer The Forge GG as a stand alone event on Saturday August 22, 2026. Just one course, 26.2 miles so hopefully there will be no confusion with course signage/direction. That's the plan anyway! For 2026 the Start and Finish will be at the George T. Hiltebrandt Rec Center @ 225 North Street, Old Forge, NY 13420. There will not be a pre-race parade through Town.
