The 5K starts at Memorial Park, (in front of the Beer Tent) routes through the scenic Erbach Park trails and finishes on Kreutzer Street at in Downtown Athens, next to the grocery store, Main Street Market.  The race is made possible by the following local businesses and organizations. Lake Run Club, established in 1982 is hosting a summer trail run competition consisting of the following events: * This event is part of the Lake Run Club's Trail Run Series, which includes Run the Woods 5K/8K in October and Deer Run 8K in December. 12 Hour Sunrise to Sunset, which will be ran as a last man/women standing competition. Will be 51 miles if you complete each of the loops. The course consists of a 4.1 mile long course, measured with Garmin GPS watch.   This event you have exactly one hour to run the course. If a runner completes the loop in less than an hour, they are free to relax, refuel, hydrate, and use the facilities. So, if a person does the lap in 45 minutes, they have 15 minutes to wait around. If a runner finishes the 4.25 mile loop in 58 minutes, they have 2 minutes to use at their own discretion. The 4th Annual Standing Rocks Enduro Mountain Bike Race at Standing Rocks County Park in Stevens Point, WI.  The Expert category will have 8 Stages, the Sport category will have 6 stages, and the Youth category will have 4 stages (subject to change).  Overall finish positions will be determined by the racer's total cumulative time after completing all 4 Youth stages, all 6 Sport, and all 8 Expert runs in their category. The RVA Sprint Triathlon is Richmond’s only pool sprint triathlon. Hosted by the Rockville Center, this race is set in beautiful Rockville, VA. Participants will enjoy a short pool swim, rolling rural bike, and fun out-and-back run course.  This event includes a classic sprint triathlon, kid’s splash & dash (swim-run), and new this year we will also have a shorter beginner-only race for first-time triathletes only.  Prefer to not swim or run?  No problem as we have both duathlon (run-bike-run) and aquabike (swim-bike) options.  The RVA Sprint Tri will feature a “seeded” race start with the top 12 seeded women starting approximately 7 minutes ahead of the top 12 seeded men to set up an exciting battle of the sexes to cross the finish line first!
