The Chris Klug Foundation is proud to be a charity partner of UNBOUND Gravel since 2024. To join CKF's 2026 Charity team, please ensure you have spoken with our staff at info@chrisklugfoundation.org to complete the necessary steps to become a Team CKF fundraiser. It is a 4-day biking event in Flint Hills, Kansas, and is considered the world’s premier gravel event; UNBOUND is a lottery with 4,000 riders. We will be taking part in the 100-mile and 200-mile races with a team of wonderful athletes.  The Chris Klug Foundation (CKF) has been a charity partner with Lifetime since 2012, raising over $250,000+ for CKF's programs. CKF's Leadville Trail 100 charity team helps to educate others on the facts of organ, eye & tissue donation while raising awareness for those awaiting a lifesaving transplant nationwide.

The reason for this race: Miles Jacobsen is 10 years old and currently in 4th grade. His family moved to KC in 2021 when his dad was hired as the Lead Teaching Pastor at Heartland Community Church off Strang Line Rd in Olathe. Miles Jacobsen is one of the many kids in Kansas City battling a brain tumor. Days after his 9th birthday in March 2024, he was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor. After a long year of chemotherapy, Miles is now awaiting the development of more targeted therapy that will help him fight the growth of this tumor. Despite these challenges, Miles is a joyful and active kid whose positive outlook has inspired hundreds, if not thousands, of people since his diagnosis. His heart beats strong for people of all ages who are enduring their own cancer journeys, and he’s always looking to lift other people’s spirits. EAGLES of Grace is a faith based mentoring program utilizing a holistic and social emotional learning approach to educate, empower and equip youth and young adults to be successful. Our inaugural 5K scheduled May 31st is a great way for us to come together as a community and pray for the success and well being of our youth in Winston Salem and surrounding counties. The 5K will also serve as an annual fundraising campaign to fund supporting initiatives for EAGLES of Grace Inc. youth mentoring and educational programs. We hope you can join us for the Cavalier 5K & 1K! The races will be held at The Heights with the 5K start and the finish on campus.  The 1K is entirely on campus. These races are open to all Heights alumni, parents, and students as well as their family and friends. Please register in advance. Registration includes participation in the timed race, an official shirt, and the cookout afterwards.  Want to bring the whole family? Multi-person pricing is available- $65 for 3+ registrants. The 2026 Run Into the Summer 5K Run/Walk will take place at Monroe Central Jr.-Sr. High School on the Cross Country Course on May 30, 2026 beginning at 9:00AM. It will be all on grass, with the finish on the HS Track. There were 309 registered participants in 2025! All funds are being raised for the Monroe Central Athletic Training Program. These funds will help continue the Monroe Central Athletic Training Scholarship (2 @ $500), and buy new rehab and recovery equipment for the Athletic Training Program. The Scott Burgess Memorial 5k was established in 2013 to honor our own hero, SSG Scott Burgess. Scott was killed in Afghanistan in 2011 while serving in the Army's 1st Battalion, 84th Field Artillery Regiment, 170th Infantry Brigade Combat Team. All of the proceeds go to a scholarship program benefiting the youth of Robertson County where Scott was raised. The race is on June 7th, to begin with a memorial speech at 6:45 am and the playing of Taps and our National Anthem. The race starts at 7:00 am and a kids 1 mile race will immediately follow at approximately 8:00 am. The results and awards will be given out right after the kids run.  Packet pick up will be held at the City Park - Franklin on Friday night before from 5-9p and also pre-race beginning at 6:00 am. The Plano Pacers Remembrance 5K and Kid's K will be held on May 30th, 2025 at Windhaven Meadows Park. The 5K will start at 8:00am. The Kid's K will start at about 9:00am, after the main event. Course layouts can be found here. Inactive or prospective members can click here to process membership transactions. Active members do not need to register, just show up with your chip and run. If you are a new member or don't have a chip, arrive early (before 7:30am) to pick one up from the membership table. Guest preregistration is available online here. Pre-registered guests can pick up a bib before 7:30AM in the registration area on race day. The Kid's K is free and open to all kids. No need to register in advance.

Legacy 100 is a ride through mostly back roads in the beautiful painted churches area of Texas, with our beneficiary being the Alzheimer’s Association (via Ride to End ALZ - Texas). We have multiple distances to choose from and a staggered start based on distance. There will be fresh kolaches and locally-brewed coffee before the ride (while supplies last). After the ride, a meal will be provided for all riders/volunteers, and we'll have some games such as cornhole for folks that want to relax and play. ***This is a ride, not a race, there will be no chip-timing (so as maximize money going towards life-extending research) or awards. One of the toughest and most beautiful courses you’ll find anywhere!The Worlds End Ultramarathon is a challenging foot race that explores the Loyalsock Trail, Loyalsock State Forest and Worlds End State Park in the Endless Mountains of Pennsylvania. The routes are largely rugged, scenic-dense single-track trails with some fairly remote sections, several waterfalls and multiple vistas of the beautiful Endless Mountains. The PA Department of Conservation and Natural Resources describes Worlds End State Park as "virtually in a class by itself, this wild, rugged and rustic area seems almost untamed." A Run Through the ‘Woods’ is fun neighborhood road race fundraiser for Hoover Elementary School Parent Teacher Association (PTA) in the Mt. Lebanon School District, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The run/walk takes place at the elementary school.  The course goes through the scenic (and hilly) Cedarhurst Manor neighborhood of Mt. Lebanon hitting many of the ‘wood’ named streets.  The event is competitive and fun for all ages and abilities. We offer a 5K and 1 Mile Run/Walk, Live Age group awards as well as sponsor filled goodie bags, photographers and water on the course, custom finisher medals, fun raffle baskets, and snacks at the finish line! Medical staff, and a police officer will be on site for the safety of all participants. There will be one mile and 5K options, both filled with lots of color, water blasters, bubbles, and music! There will be a clock, but this is not an officially timed race. Check your time when you cross the finish line to see which wrestlers you were able to beat. Celebrate your finish with face painting and Kona Ice! All proceeds benefit the Fort LeBoeuf Girls Wrestling team.
